"Expensive, but worth it" on by rcoasterk22

Pros: Amazing clarity, loud bass, and has the perfect fit for everyone.

Cons: Expensive, takes some time to get them in right

Summary: I love these earphones, i've had them since Christmas and love them. So far i've found bass lines in at least 10 songs that i thought didnt even have bass lines! If your a person who doesn't like a lot of bass, maybe you should consider some other options. But if you love really loud bass like be, definetly get these. While the bass is amazing, they do offer amazing sound in all ranges. If you can afford them, almost any Shure earphones are well worth the price for them.

"Very good noise isolation, and great sound, but it just isnt for anyone." on by thephilmaster

Pros: Great noise reduction (you barely hear anything), great sound, dont need an amp for good sound from ipod, match the ipod ok,

Cons: the way you put them in ears is awkward around the back of ear. can get very dirty very easily.

Summary: I tried these ones for about 5 days, and tried desperately to find a good fit. usually i would, but then slowly it would pop out. initially, they are very good in your ears, kind of tight, but still good, but the whole in ear thing in the end did not work for me. i will return and get some around ear ones instead. (Keep in mind, many places swear by in ear moniters like these as the best you can get, and i agree with that on planes for the most part) The other problem i had was that on planes you usually need yawn to relieve pressure in the ears, and at that point the in ears usually lose their seal, and fall out. definately you should try them out before buying, and make up your mind whether in ear is right for you.

    "Nice Headset." on by wondrbutch

    Pros: very comfortable

Cons: No bass...sounds a bit tinny

Summary: i have had these headphones for a while and i like them but i would like to hear some bass in them. I think they are worth the money. I want another headset.I am going to try the little Bose headset that goes in your ear. I have heard them and they have bass. If you like bass don't get these.

"GREAT...once you get them to fit!!" on by dieselino73

Pros: great bass, excellent tone, lightweight

Cons: price, wish it came with more foam sleeves (those work the best in my opinion), price, in-ear may be tough for some, price

Summary: Let me first start off by saying that I AM a Bose fanboy. I have the lifestyle home theater system and a few other products for my iPod and such. Yes Yes, you can argue for or against Bose, but I like their products...and I'm the one buying them so who cares?!?!

I got the new Bose Tri-Port earbuds and LOVED the sound they produced and they were easier to fit, use, etc. Unfortunately (as it CLEARLY states in the instruction manual), they are not meant to be noise reducing/canceling. I thought I could get over this, but I couldn't...so at the suggestion of a friend I picked up the Shure e3c.

Well after many tries to get these to fit right (fyi, it takes TWO hands to get a proper fit...and the foam sleeves work the best in my opinion)...these are great headphones. Once I got over my initial apprehension at literally sticking these in my ear canal, I couldn't be more satisfied. I agree with some of the other reviewers stating that the bass was lacking...and it was for me as well...until I tried all the sleeves. When I got to the foam ones the difference was amazing. The foam provides the best seal (which is needed to experience the best sound). Great sound...great bass.

My only complaint is that they only come with one set of the best sleeves (the foam). I've already ordered replacements (online at Best Buy has the cheapest I've seen @ $14.99 for 5 pairs) to have b/c I will be using the HECK out of these and the foamies will get grungy and smooshed over time.

Final thought...USE TWO HANDS to get them in. Tug on your upper ear slightly to straighten the ear canal. I know, sounds weird...but trust me it's the best way to get them in.

When used properly...these are pretty damn good!!

"These are all about Fit" on by syuri

Pros: Great sound, once you get them in properly.

Cons: The are harder to use than any I've tried.

Summary: These buds do sound great. They are the cleanest of the ones I've tried and they do have bass if fit properly. The bass is not as good as other models costing less, even when the fit is right. The overall reproduction, however, is better than the rest.

I would say I would not pay the $180 asking for them. But, for $119 I like them a lot.
