"Very Uncomfortable"
1.0 starson by VOURPros: Great sound
Cons: Impossible to wear comfortably for extended periods of time
Summary: I sent mine back literally an hour after receiving them. Unlike all the other Shure earphones, E5C is shaped like hearing aids to fit the driver portion of the earphone into the hollow area of the ear outside the ear canal. Unfortunately, the sleeve portion is extremely short and so the only way to get a good seal is by pressing the entire earphone very hard against the ear, which caused great discomfort in my case given that E5C cannot possibly conform to all ear shapes and sizes. The wire lop that goes over the ear is too rigid and presses very uncomfortably against the ear once the wire loop is tightened. The sound quality of E5C is completely irrelevant given the discomfort they cause; I couldn't wait to get rid of them. Since I already have E3C and E2C and I like Shure products, ordered E4C instead.
