"Great Headphones, but depends how you use them"

Cons: Not good enough to be used as an in-ear monitor!
Summary: These are outstanding headphones if you want to wear them on an airplane, or otherwise use casually. However, I bought these to use for my monitor mix for live performances (I'm a drummer), and they just don't cut it. Before I bought them, I searched online for reviews from other musicians, without luck! Anyway, if I can save any musicians the hassle, don't bother using these for monitors. I am upgrading to the SE535s.

hey rollinghead, what kind of music are you playing? I'm upgrading from the stock buds that come with the ATM2 wireless... I tried out and liked the shure 215's and figured the 315s would be a good step up... why didn't you like them for on-stage mix?
