Broke at the sides in two weeks, Can't fit big heads.

Pros: Nice Colours and nice motifs.

Cons: Flimsy and the fitting is rather tight.

Broke within months of purchase.

Pros: They look cool. Semi-comfortable.

Cons: Sound quality is not great considering the cost.
They are poorly designed, a fatal weak spot exists in the headband near the cushion, it snapped and broke after only a few months of use.

Review: For the expense, these headphones are poorly designed and very susceptible to breaking.

User Rating: 4/10

Better than average, but not great

Pros: Small profile makes for a comfortable and stylish wear

Cons: The headband is very flimsy feeling. It is also not tight enough to hold the speakers snuggly against the head and this creates a lack of low end because of leakage

Review: For $35, they are an ok pair of headphones, if you want to hold them to your head with your hands.

Horrible product, flimsy, nice design though

Pros: Nice Designs and colors
Sound is ok

Cons: Painful to wear for over 10 minutes
Breaks within several days of purchase
flimsy plastic
Cords taggle easily

painfull but hot

Pros: there foldable, durable and look great

Cons: they fit too tight (they hurt my ears) sound wasnt as great as in-ear headphones by skull candy, pricy (future shop sells them for $80 while i got them for $40)

Review: they fold, making them even more portable, sound is good but not great- not as good as previous in-ear models, they look awesome, but the problem is they fit too tight, making them hurt your ears

The fit wasn't that great.

Pros: Great sound for the price.

Cons: The fit is flimsy.

Review: I purchased these headphones at a clearance price. When I got them home and tried them out, I found that the fit was too flimsy and didn't really wrap around that well. If you're looking for a headphone that will make good contact on the sides or enough to where you'll be able to move around without the headphones sliding off, then keep looking. The look and design (not the construction) of these headphones is really cool, I just wish they would've put equal thought into how the headphones would fit.

Disappointed with Skullcandy - avoid online purchases!

Pros: Can't tell yet. Still waiting for delivery or to be able to make contact with the company's customer service via phone or email.

Cons: Skull Candy customer service is the worse I have ever encountered. Called customer service several times and got a recording that they "are catching powder". Sent 3 emails. They promised a response within 24-48 hrs -- never received response.

Review: Skull Candy company has horrible customer service. In my opinion, everyone should avoid online purchases with them. Still have not received our order. They immediately charged our card but will not answer the phone or respond to emails regarding the order.

Be sure to save your receipt... You'll need it...

Pros: -Great looks
-Cool Design
-Great Color Options
-Foldable to fold for easy storage

Cons: - Well below average sound quality
- Poor construction
- Cheap "plasticky" feel
- Too fragile for day to day use

Review: These headphones are like a great looking woman that's as dumb as a sack of diapers and has bad teeth. Looks great at first glance, but when you examine the details there are absolutely no redeeming qualities...

I'd heard some good things about the SkullCandy Smokin' buds, so I figured these would be good as well. The pictures give the appearance of a well-constructed, heavy duty type headphone, but its all plastic and cheap.

If you have money to burn and are looking for something cheap that'll break easily, then go for it. If not, trust me, you will quickly return them, just like I did.

Forget the negative comments...

Pros: Sound- amazing sound quality
Appearance- awesome

Cons: There are a few "minor" negative things that I guess I have to inform you of.
Endurance- not great, but still good.
Comfort and wearability- ahh...pain...too tight...

Review: Pros in further detail:

Compatible with all music/sound producing things. (In case your wondering! O_o)

Sound- these amazing headphones produce amazing sound quality that will literally blow your mind if you have the volume at anything over halfway. Unlike with ear buds, they block out surrounding noise (yay!!!) so full volume is a lot louder.

Appearance- these headphones have an original design in both its compactability and designs on it that come in a huge variety of colour options and combinations. You really are spoilt for choice.

There are a few "minor" negative things that I guess I have to inform you of.

Endurance- unfortunately, these headphones don't have a great reputation for endurance. However, with proper care, i.e, not seeing how far you can stretch them without breaking the headband or something crazier such as seeing if you can drive over them without them breaking, they should last you. However, if you are insane, or curious enough to test this out, then skullcandy will either replace your headphones or refund you: www.skullcandy.com/warranty . Aren't they nice?

Comfort and wearability- Despite previous reviews I have read about these headphones being so loose that they fall off at the drop of a hat (i.e. your hat falls, you bend to pick it up, headphones fall off), I beg to differ. Mine are a tight fight. So tight in fact, that they are painful to wear: bending the tips of my ears against my skull. However this could be simply because I'm wearing them wrong, or because I'm wearing my glasses while using them. I have tried without and found that to be much more comfortable. I'm not used to headphones.

As I mentioned in appearance, these headphones are compact in the way that they fold up. Yes, I have seen them folded up (a friend of mine who had them knew how to fold them up, I say "had" as she broke the headband by stretching them every time she put them on to avoid messing up her hair.) there are no instructions with them as to how to do so, but she said that she found out how via the internet. I'm currently still searching. Or, more accurately, about to search.

So, great sound, warranty, appearance, and price!!! These headphones are awesome and I would recommend them, provided you are careful with them if you want them to last.

Elegant design but....

Pros: -Nice design
-Good fit
-Terrific High's and sub-par mids

Cons: -Low's are terrible and sound distorted
-Equalizer makes matters worse

Review: This are flashy & very stylish earphones. They have a very good fit. However, if you're looking for good low's & mid's these earphones aren't for you. I own the Skullcandy Smokin' Buds and they pick up lows a lot better then these. You would think because these have a 40 mm speaker & the Smokin' Buds have a 9 mm speaker that these would have better sound quality. DEAD WRONG. If you aren't that big on sound quality, i recommend them but if you are you might want to keep looking.

Fashion accessory yes, sound quality no.

Pros: Nice looking, appearance of quality, numerous colours and styles

Cons: Completely made of plastic. Sound quality is subpar for headphones that are sold as an upgrade to the ones that come stock with your mp3 player.

Review: If you are only concerned about looking cool, and being in style, then these headphones are the ones for you. If you have any type of ear for quality sound reproduction, avoid these. You will be much better off spending an extra $10 or $15 and getting something better from brands like Koss or Sennheiser.
Those that are saying these sound great, really don't have any idea what good headphones are supposed to sound like.

I wouldn't say these are terrible, but they definately aren't worth the price or hype, and produce sound that is about the equivelant to what you get in the ones packaged with your mp3 player. Definately not much of an upgrade. I'm returning mine to the store.

Good sound & value!

Pros: Comfortable, attractive styling, nice & balanced sound (good bass, mids, highs).

Cons: All-plastic construction feels cheap.

Review: To get the best sound, of course, you have to use the best player and the best recording source. Music recorded in the past 10 years will sound better than non-remastered music from the 1980's. The headphones sound good with any type of music, but aren't for folks who need skull-crushing bass.

Does not live up to product description

Pros: Stylish looks, crisp highs, very comfortable, folds into a small package.

Cons: Abysmal lows, muddled mids, slightly cheep feeling.

Review: I read numerous reviews before purchasing the Lowrider headphones, and decided that they would fulfill my need for a "ear cup" headphone set.

To be honest, I don't use this set for sound editing or a professional as some of the other reviewers do, I am simply questing for a well rounded (though bass heavy) headphone.

My goals were such: A quality set of 'phones that were inexpensive to a degree, that packed easily, had heavy bass sound yet well balanced mids/highs, and most importantly - were comfortable.

The package of the Lowrider states that they fulfill all of these qualifications, leaving me curious to try them out. I personally listen to a diverse collection of music, though my favorites are the classical greats, bass heavy arena trance, new age, and folk metal.

Upon putting these headphones through a gauntlet of these genres for about a week, my impression of them is quite poor. As for the bass response, it is unfailingly disappointing. My euro-trance lacked a bottom sound, my Prodigy sounded canned, the heavy riffs of Swedish metal were castrated, and the cello's of Bach were lost. The mids and highs of these tracks were wonderfully clear and enjoyable to listen to, but without the bottom sound the music lost much of its identity. The headphone itself is most comfortable to wear and fits well on my ears. The quality is to be expected at this price range and would most likely not survive being tossed around in a pack for very long. The phones fold well, and the cord length is more suited for a mobile music source rather than a computer. Keep in mind that I listened to these headphones with a 3rd gen Nano as well as my desktop computer to see if there was a variation in sound quality. I was able to extract a bit more bass response from my computer, but the playback from the Nano lacked noticeable bass. As a result, these headphones will probably be collecting dust on my desk as I am happier with the sound produced from my smokin' buds.

I have been a huge fan of skullcandy since purchasing the smokin' buds about a year and half ago. The sound produced by these phones are simply amazing and exactly what I needed from such a small package. I had hoped to acquire a much larger sound from this set. I had considered the GI set, and I am still curious if this upgrade would fulfill what I am looking for in a headphone. My suspicion is that the Lowrider was simply produced as a cheaper alternative than the GI's and sell it as a "little brother" so to say.

My suggestion to the fellow humanoid is to stay away from this headset. It is quite aesthetically tempting and seemingly decently priced. Yet the product fails to deliver in the bass department. I would without hesitation recommend the smokin' buds as an excellent headphone, but don't waste your time and currency on these.

Cheers

Terrible. Don't believe the hype

Pros: Comfort, lifetime warrenty

Cons: Muddy sound, no bass, cheap construction

Review: Ok. I am currently using a Koss porta pro, which is a great phone for the price. It may sound overwhelming with bass, but overall, it's an excellent product.

Anyway, I've tried the Skullcandy Lowriders, and was impressed, at how bad it was. The sound was incredibly muddy, and the bass was extremely lacking. The bass was there, but no detail, and barely noticeable. I do admit, it was very comfortable, but it felt like it's made of very cheap products. It was like I was listening to a Tv full of static. So many people use it around my school, and on Youtube, there was a review, comparing it with the Ipod earphones. WOW. IPOD HEADPHONES. Ipod earphones are one of the biggest rip-off of a deal anywhere, and this guy thought these were great, and much better than the ipod ones. Obviously it is, but only because ipod earphones are such a terrible product.

Anyway, the sound was worse than my 10 dollared earbuds, and I'm not joking.

I'm not an audiophile, but I have tried a few good phones and IEMs, such as the Shure E2C, the Bose quietcomfort 3 (Shudders* Bose.) With the Senn PX100 or the Koss porta pro, these are like trash compared to them. In the price, anyway.

Go get yourselves some grados, or some GOOD quality headphones, instead of this worthless piece of junk.

Great 2nd pair or backup

Pros: Fold up and fit in my NB Bag, Comfort, light weight, Lifetime waranty

Cons: Short cord, distort if too loud,

Review: Sound quality is relitive, What may sound like crud to one person, may sound like gold to another. I have made these headphones sound like both with simple equilization and volume control. If you are using these for a MP3 player, you may want to read a different review, as I have only used these on my Laptop.
These will never replace my Sennheriser phones as far as build quality, comfort and power go, but for a second pair that I wouldn't cry if I broke, these are great.
And even if they did break, they have a limited Lifetime warranty on function, and a 50% MSRP replacement for accidental damage.
Comfort, I went bought and returned 3 different styles and brands before I found a pair of <$50 that didn't hurt. earbuds...too big for the inside of my ear, clip on... pinched my ears, big style cans squezed my head. Some have stated that a con of the phones is they are loose on the head, well for me this is a pro. I was able to wear them for over 3 hours with zero discomfort. Overall quality for the price is just right.

These are amazing

Pros: Great quality, Power bass

Cons: They slip off your head if you headbang

Review: These headphone match the quality of my Bose headphones. They cost 180 and these only cost 40 dollars. Plus they have a better warranty. I use them for professional music editing. And they beat out my other headphones.

User Rating: 7/10

Great for the price

Pros: Fold-able, look great, sound great, good price

Cons: Don't fit around your ear, rather on top

Review: These headphones are great because they can fold up, they look great, they are lightweight, and the also sound good (especially for the price!).

I get lots of comments on how cool they look and how great they sound from my friends who have the standard iPod earbuds.

User Rating: 4/10

looks can be deceiving

Pros: good looking, well built

Cons: fit kept falling off my head when I bent forward, expensive

Review: Sound isn't any better than the head phones that came with the my Ipod Nano. The fit was terrible kept falling off my head when I bent forward. Maybe there just not meant for an Adult's head I don't know. Kept them for about 4 hrs an exchange them for the Smokin Buds and I'm much happier.
