Pros Cool Design
Cons These earbuds fall out with every size
Even the non tangle cord tangles easily
Awful quality, crackles with anything over half volume.
Summary Simply stated, these ear buds are horrendous. I bought these with intentions to replace my Iphone 5 headphones and they did nothing close to that. The 4 and 5 star reviews on this site are obviously fabricated and if you buy a pair you will see what I mean.
Pros good sound. highs and lows. they look good too.
Cons they don't fit my ear that well
Summary i've never spent more then $30 on a pair of headphones. i buy a pair every couple of months. i'll buy these again if i can't find any buds to fit my ear better. best buds i've owned.
Pros Average Sound Quality
Is reasonably comfortable
Cons They broke every 2 months (not durable)
In-ear buds are not well designed
Summary I bought these with a 5 replacement warranty from the source, and I am on pair 6 in less than a year. The sound quality is only average and not worth the frequent replacements. If you are looking in the same price range, there are better buys, like Seinheiser.
Pros Snug fit of Earbuds
Cons Sound quality, cord tangles easily.
Summary I bought these ear buds at best buy after my last pair died on me. Right out of the box, the cord wound up in a knot somehow, and even after i untangled it and wound it back up, it still managed to knot on me. The Cord material is like a fabric, and although it seems to be less prone to damage, it rubs against itself, and you can sometimes hear that vibration in the buds. Although the buds fit snugly in the ear, they tend to create a little bit of suction, and then the sound doesn't balance nicely, left to right. It takes some time to figure out where exactly to put them in your ear, so that the music is equally loud on both sides. Sound quality overall was very disappointing. My first impression was that they sounded very muddy. The highs were not crisp whatsoever, even with an equalizer preset of treble booster on my iPod. Middle frequencies were ok, and there wasn't enough bass to suit me. For roughly the same amount of money, i would go with the JVC marshmallows. They have more bass (not too much), and the highs are crisp and detailed.
Pros Sound quality is spectacular even at high volume, bass is booming, very comfortable, easy-to-access volume slider right on the wire, stylish design, very affordable.
Cons The wire is a little flimsy, so it gets tangled very easily.
Summary Overall, the Skullcandy Smokin' Buds are better than a lot of the other earbuds on the market. They even sound better than some buds that are twice the price. For $30, you definitely can't go wrong.
