Sony MDR-ED12LP (Silver)

Pros: Great sound:
- the Bass is as good as you're going to get for in ear bud headphones
- Solid mid and high end tones
- Fit nicely in your ears

Cons: Break easily, even when taking care of the product
Noise problems such as crackling and popping after 1month or so of use
Plan on buying more than one set, but they are only 15 dollars on average

Summary: I use these ear phones to walk around campus , study, and etc. They work nicely, and have a good sound for the money. However I have went through 2 sets with normal wear and tear (and I don't exercise with these headphones).

Sound quality is good, but it seems that they wear down and the cracking and popping is common with these sets. My third set is starting to do it after owning it for a month and a half, but it's bearable and not really that distracting yet.

The selling point is the price, they are cheap and replaceable. More expensive in-ear headsets do offer slightly better low end and mid range, but not enough for a person like me to spend the extra 40+ dollars. The rubber that wraps these keeps them comfortable and minimizes to it's best ability outside noise. If you don't mind buying a couple sets, these are worth it.
