Pros Comfort and strong bass
Cons fakes in the marketplace
Pros Smooth sound characteristics with no distortion in the mid range area.
Cons Looks like Frankenstein knobs?
Summary I'm surprised at the great quality of sound coming from these earbuds. I used to have the cheaper MDREX51s for the past 2 years, and the difference is night and day. I'm ticked that I hadn't bought these sooner.
Pros Great Sound, Perfect for the Gym ... The Buds stay in the ear canal while exercising. Love the Wrap Around the head. Stylish. Owned these for 2+ yrs. Would buy again.
Cons They block all sound, which is the purpose ... so it's hard to listen to the tv or talk while at the gym when they're in. Other than that. AMAZING.
Summary I've had these Sony MDR-EX90's for 2 years now. They have 3 different size silicon buds that fit big, medium, and small ear lobes. I use these for both Gym and Personal use. They stay put in my ear while running ... I also love the WRAP AROUND CORD, so it doesn't get in my way while doing whatever. SOUND IS AMAZING. I also own BOSE QC3 and I don't mind switching between the two for portability. I promise you won't be disappointed. SONY is usually a sure-shot for all their products and this is another one.
Pros great once modified
Cons have to do a little work to make them just right
Summary these are great headphone with a couple modifications. do a search for sony ex90 mod and you will find what I am talking about on the head-fi site. If you remove the foam in the stem, close the a couple of the vents, and change the standard tip to Shure Black Foam or Comply tips you will get high class in ear monitors.
Pros Great Bass and Sound Clarity
Cons None so far
Summary I'm using these stereo earbuds in my Creative Xtreme audio notebook expresscard with my Dell 1520 and 1705 laptops and they are tremendous. I really enjoy listening to my classic rock music again.
