Summary: The cheap-o earbuds I got with the ipod mini are more comfortable and have much more oomph than these things. They do hurt the ears. Plus, if you're just trying to relax in a chair, you can't rest your head back because this will push the things forward & off your ears. If you're on a budget, not into sound quality, and would take Van Gogh-esque pleasure in the feeling of a hacksaw slowly cutting off your ears, these are ideal.
