"Pretty good." on by gooberliberation
Pros: Decent sound, gold plated connector(on mine), replacement earpads!
Cons: Lack of volume control, uncomfortable out of the box(see below)
Summary: I bought these 'phones, needing an adequate(basic) pair of behind-the-head headphones. So far, these have done just fine. The sound quality is better than average, compared to similar products of the price range.
My big-headed self found these headphones uncomfortible at first, but simply yanking off the rubber earclips made things comfortible. The clips can be put back in safely if removed.
At 29.99, it would've been nice to hace a volume control, but it's not vital. Much to Sony's credit, replacement foam earpads are included. I've got way too many good headphones retired because of broken or missing earpads. Including them is a major plus. Every headphone/earbud pair should come with replacement pads!
The reflectors on the earpieces are a nice touch, but would be more effective if they were bigger and/or on the headband behind the head. Finally, it should be noted that the connector plug is set at a 90degree angle, not straight. Not necissarily a bad thing, but when plugged into the top of a small device such as an mp3 player, it can be (very)slightly awkward, but is advantageous when plugged into the side of something like a CD player. -

"Ok for part time use" on by whattheF
Pros: fits well, reasonable sound for general use.
Cons: average sound.
Summary: ok for wearing when jogging, working out etc. fits snugly. but very weak bland sound. well compared to my sennhiesers and sound system which are midrange. but thats an unfair comparison i know.
should have gone for the sony 74L or whateever they r called. cnet did say they have better sound but still gave it the same 6.3 rating. hmmm. plus they werent easy to find.
bottom line, im not an audiophile or anything but i expected more. -
"Decent 'phones for the price" on by Zeeshan47
Pros: Doesn't slip, very stylish, very good sound for the price
Cons: Pads are annoying and rip easily, cant fold for storage
Summary: Perfect for runners and the more stylish among us. The only gripe I really have about these headphones is that the earpads are exactly the same cheap annoying ones that come with 2 dollar headphones, but thankfully you can take them off without it affecting your comfort, and if you choose to keep them on and the pads get destroyed/lost theres a backup pair. Also, it takes a little time to get used to wearing, and it might be uncomfortable when you're wearing glasses, but once you're used to it its perfect cause it doesn't fall out of place like earbuds.
Besides that, the sound quality is pretty dang good for 30 dollars. Yes its not perfect, the bass isn't too warm and punchy, the treble isn't really tight but it gets the job done, especially when you can't notice the difference, like when you're running.
