"Pretty good."
Pros: Decent sound, gold plated connector(on mine), replacement earpads!
Cons: Lack of volume control, uncomfortable out of the box(see below)
Summary: I bought these 'phones, needing an adequate(basic) pair of behind-the-head headphones. So far, these have done just fine. The sound quality is better than average, compared to similar products of the price range.
My big-headed self found these headphones uncomfortible at first, but simply yanking off the rubber earclips made things comfortible. The clips can be put back in safely if removed.
At 29.99, it would've been nice to hace a volume control, but it's not vital. Much to Sony's credit, replacement foam earpads are included. I've got way too many good headphones retired because of broken or missing earpads. Including them is a major plus. Every headphone/earbud pair should come with replacement pads!
The reflectors on the earpieces are a nice touch, but would be more effective if they were bigger and/or on the headband behind the head. Finally, it should be noted that the connector plug is set at a 90degree angle, not straight. Not necissarily a bad thing, but when plugged into the top of a small device such as an mp3 player, it can be (very)slightly awkward, but is advantageous when plugged into the side of something like a CD player.
