"Great pice for noise cancelling head phones" on by mrkennyp

    Pros: Good price
    Noise cancelling
    Comfortable ear cups
    Good Sound quality

Cons: noise cancelling doesn't work with iPhone 3gs.
    data buzz
    non padded head band

Summary: I bought these headphone because they were a good price, and Sony makes a reliable product. Unfortunately when I turned the noise cancelling on and plugged them into my iPhone 3GS all I heard was that annoying buzz that comes with an active data connection. Because I listen to most of my music from my iPhone I had to return them.
Other than that the phones sounded great when plugged into my laptop.

"Reasonable for the price paid." on by Izbadu

Pros: Comfortable fit. Folds down nicely for storage. Decent sound.

Cons: Cheaply made frame. Head pads covered in Mylar film which tends to break and peel within a short time. Battery housing door tricky to open and probably prone to breakage. Sound cancelling feature gives minimal performance or none at all.

Summary: People tend to forget that in these cases there are three things to consider: the headphones, the quality of the device the headphones are plugged into, and the quality of the recording being played. If the device or the recording are inferior, these headphones will only magnify their faults. I did, however, try these headphones out on my PC which is equipped with a high end sound card and auditioned a DVD in DTS mode and found the sound to be very good. The same held true when auditioning a CD on a Panasonic portable CD player. When listening to MP3 files on my MP3 player (also a Sony device) the sound quality was only mediocre with or without the noise cancellation.

"Noise Reduction Nonexistent" on by flutepilot

Pros: The sound is alright, and the noise reduction circuitry is in the headset instead of in-line.

Cons: I bought this as a noise-cancelling headset. The unfortunate thing is that the electronic noise cancelling just plain hardly works. The set is also uncomfortable for me to wear.

Summary: I bought this unit as a possible replacement for a three year old set by another manufacturer. Instead of an in-line box for the noise reduction circuitry, it has this built into the headset itself. I found this to be a big plus. The unfortunate thing is that the noise reduction barely does anything, not even close to the older unit. In addition, I find that this unit is quite uncomfortable to wear, at least for me. I am returning this unit, and hoping to possibly find a newer one that realy works before the older set gives out.

"Great deal for the price" on by Onkman

Pros: awesome sound, great looking, comfortable.

Cons: not very loud, cable is hard to store, plastic headband.

Summary: i just got these 2 days ago and i love them, the sound quality is amazing, the noise canceling works well and they look cool. they are also comfortable and i love the travel bag. that being said however, i found them to not have very loud sound (which i really like) and the wire is bulky. but over all they are great. for my life as a student.
