3.5 stars Pros: - Huge (i don't know its a pros or cons, since i like it i put it at pros)
- Very comfortable
- feels light even though its huge
- great soundstage
Cons: - sound is so so, i am a bit disappointed with its sound
- cable is too long, it's 2 m long without anything to wind it + its huge so its a big No for portability.
- no carrying bag, a headphone in its price range deserve a carrying bag at least.

Summary: i got this as an upgrade from my HD 202ii sennheiser, but i'm very disappointed in its sound quality (oh well, maybe just because i haven't burn it but my hd202ii does better job in its first day). The headphone comes in cheap plastic packaging and a nice extra cable extender to plug into amplifier. The first time i open the packaging i was shocked because it is BIG if compared to my prev hd202ii (even now i wear it around my neck and i can't look around freely). test it first thing after i open it, and it fits my head perfectly fine, sony design it so well so it will adjust automatically rather than ordinary headphone where u need to adjust yourselves. It's HUGE but when i try it, it is so light, i almost didn't feel anything on my head. Well, so far i love this headphone a little more than my hd202ii solely because of the comfort, i don't really recommend this if you really looking for amazing wonderful magical sound for its price, but if u look for a headphone u can wear for hours and have great stagging, this is just for you.

On the positive side, I admit it's hard to imagine more comfortably sitting on your ears headphones. You don't feel the pressure despite their bulkiness and they perfectly fit your (or at least mine) ears. This and a very long cord with rope-like coating make them perfect to watch TV without fearing to tear the cord. The only downside here is synthetic coating of the pads - after half-an-hour it gets hot and sweaty inside the caps.
Still, if you're looking for a real sound, you can find much better headphones for almost the same price. Check out Sennheiser HD485 - it's a completely differently world: warm bass, good details and you can listen to them for hours.
