"The future of headphone design" on by wlrube
Pros: As good as any earbuds, and THEY STAY IN YOUR EARS!!!!
Cons: Not the greatest sound quality, but what can you expect from earbuds?
Summary: I never could understand how simple, iPod-style earbuds became so popular; they fall out of the user's ears if he so much as moves his head the wrong way. I once had a standard set of earbuds fall out because of the head motions I made when I started talking.
Whoever invented earclip earbuds is a genius. They have all the convenience of regular earbuds -- small and unobtrusive -- and yet, they stay on far better even than regular headphones. I will be amazed if they do not become the dominant headphone design within a few years.
That said, this model is a typical, ergonomic earclipped earbud with one quirk: the sound is directed into the skin of the user's ear, rather than directly into the ear canal. This is too obvious to have been accidental, so when buying, I figured it couldn't have just been a mistake. Indeed, when I tried them, they played just as well and just as loudly as any other earbuds I've tried. Sound quality suffers a bit, but it winds up no worse than any other earbud.
In short: these are probably the best earbuds on the market, for the sheer convenience factor of not having to constantly readjust them. Once they're in, they're in until you decide to take them out, period. Several times, when my music was off, I've forgotten that they were in my ears! -
"You get what you pay for." on by briantalent
Pros: The only pro is that they are comfortable.
Cons: Sound quality is far less than adequate without equalizer adjustment.
Summary: I am not as impressed with these as the other users. To my ear the sound is all treble and feels very "electronic" or "metallic", like it's playing inside a tin can. I am not a bass fanatic, but even I need more bass than these phones give. Of course, if you have an equalizer and know how to use it, you can balance the sound to get some bass and reduce the treble, but even then the sound retains its "electronic" character to my ear. And besides, most portable players don't have an equalizer, anyway.
The fit is comfortable, and I could probably wear them for long periods with no discomfort. I only use headphones with my computer, however, so I do not know how they would perform if you exercised with them.
The design of these is such that the speakers do not go down inside your ear very much. Actually, if you press them down into your ear the bass presence improves...but who is going to want to hold these things inside their ears for hours at a time?
I cannot recommend these. They are cheap, yes, but always remember that you get what you pay for. -
"Good headphones for the money" on
Pros: Good sound. Pretty comfortable. And it wasn't too expensive either.
Cons: Can be a little hard to figure out how to put it on, but I'm clumsy, so it's basically a matter of coordination.

"Good sound, A bit uncomfterable sometimes" on
Pros: Good price (about $10). The sound is good. The design is very good, it stays on you ear pretty well.
Cons: It can be uncomfterbly in your ear at times.
