  • "You'll pay more to find the same quality and sound!"
    on by omahapianist

Pros Clean sound, superb detail, highs/mids/lows are wonderfully balanced.

Cons Has slightly less slam than some of the best dynamic speaker designed earphones.

Summary I've had my UE 700's for several months and the sound quality and detail is still amazing. The build quality is only a little less solid since Logitech took over but unless you're abusive and careless in handling them, you should never have any problems. These buds are made for the serious audiophile who truly value the best sound for the money. Once you listen to what a balanced armature design can do for your sound, you may not want to go back to your standard earphones. If you have high quality music files (FLAC, lossless, etc.), the results will be simply breathtaking. Even your higher quality MP3 files will sound stunning!

    Highly recommended.

  • "A Perfect Audiophile Earphone"
    on by ropetat

    Pros 1. Incredible sound clarity
    2. Great looks
    3. Great Noise-isolation
    4. Perfect flat response

    Cons 1. Not very durable
    2. Carrying case too small
    3. Weak bass, not recommended for bass lovers

Summary Logitech UE700 earphones are a perfect choice for those who want to hear music as its meant to be. These earphones have a very flat response and deliver ultimate sound clarity. These actually have very low bass, so not suitable for those who like bass. But except that, there is no issue with these earphones and if you manage to tweak a little with the equalizers, you can make bass response a little heavier suiting your priorities without making a compromise with the sound quality. The best choice for audiophiles under 200$. Strongly recommended.

  • "Superb sound and comfortability, pathetic durability"
    on by danielznelson

Pros - Excellent sound with good bass, incredibly crisp (but not harsh) highs, and a solid mid range (better than that of the Klispch S4's)
    - Very lightweight and incredibly comfortable
    - A varying range of ear tips
    - Sleek design

    Cons - Absolutely horrendous durability
    - Beyond abysmal customer service

Summary Easily the best sounding pair of headphones I've ever owned (above Sennheiser HD555s, Klipsch S4i's, Bang and Olufsen Form 2s, and Bose IEs), the Logitech UE 700s are a near steal for the now $120 price tag. The headphones feature exceptional sound isolation - I spent much of my time in the Washington DC Metro area and was unable to hear anything other than my own music.

Sadly, the durability of the 700s are downright pitiful. I kept good care of them, but my jack had no wire guard to prevent fraying. Inevitably, the wire was exposed after 5 or so months, and the headphones soon shorted out afterwards. I submitted a request to receive a replacement under warranty, and Logitech had no problem with it. They did, however, downgrade me to the UE 600s, because the 700s were "no longer available." A month later, I still hadn't received my headphones, and finally called them to receive an update. Curiously, they said the order never "went through" and told me they would handle the situation immediately. A week later, my order was still pending, so I called yet again to receive an update. This time, Logitech was suffering from "technical problems" and failed to send out the order (for the second time). Nearly two months later, I am still waiting for my downgraded replacement. While the 700s are an incredible pair of headphones as far as sound goes, I cannot recommend them to anyone looking for even a year-long pair of headphones.

  • "Disappointing."
    on by charlesrollon

Pros Clear Sound in low volumes.

Cons If you turn the volume up, the bass diappears and the sound cracks.

Summary I bought these earphones because everyone in CNET has been telling me its a good earphone. I bought the KLIPSH S4 because in Dubai I couldnt find UE 700. After a year my KLIPSH S4 broke and I saved money to finally buy this UE 700 in Hong Kong. These earphone are not for deep bass musics (house music and the likes). Whenever I turn the volume up the sound cracks and bass disappears. Such a disappointment because these earphones looks nice and its priced twice as KLIPSH S4. Now Im going back to my KLIPSH S4. So sad I cant refund my Ultimate Ears 700. KLIPSH S4 can handle everything. This Ultimate Ears 700 s just good at low volumes.
