"Volume louder thanm original Jawbone ?"

by greslogo on May 16, 2008

    Pros: Great noise isolation ?

    Cons: Poor volume ?

Summary: How is the volume as compared to the original Jawbone ?

This was the only reason I stopped using it. No matter how loud I adjusted it, I still couldn't hear clearly anywhere other than in a completely quiet environment.

ave they changed the earpieces at all. The original ones all fit poorly.

I'm using a Blue Ant Z9 now, which fits my ear perfectly and, if turned up all the way, is actually too loud for me.

This beats the BlueAnt Z9 hands down. It's a small, if not, maybe a slight bit bigger buy WAY smaller than the first Jawbone. This one does not flop on the ear at all and surpassed the noise cancellation of the BlueAnt by leaps and bounds. I'm beginning to find out that if a Blue tooth headset does not have the "nipple" it won't cancel sound as it should. The software solutions for other headsets are nothing compared to this device.

Try using the new version before writing a review. My order shipped today and I'll review it next week. Btw, I use the Blue Ant, too...

If you haven't actually reviewed this product, why give it a six? Appearance, editor's review, just felt like it?

I have the original Jawbone, and I intend to get the next gen as well. the volume issue was there for me too, but the fix for that turned out to be awesome and easy.

Jabra eargels. It makes the jawbone snug in your ear without using the factory ear buds OR the factory ear loop, and the design funnels all the sound directly to your ear.

I had to turn the sound -down- to be comfortable in most situations. Give it another try with the Jabra eargels and you won't be disappointed.
