"Great sound quality, easy to forget its in your ear."4.5 starson by dfriedholm
Pros: Voice control works great even with the iPhone 3G. Dials right out of your "Favorites" list. Try dialing or answering an iPhone with winter gloves on. Good standby time. Works well with my open ear hearing aids..... Outstanding with Goog411 service..
Cons: Ear gel is not a good fit for me. I bought Comply TX200 foam tips and they make a perfect fit with no ear loop required.
Summary: My Q1 replaces a lost BlueAnt V1 unit and has excellent sound quality, is super light, and very low profile. Not only is it light, it DOESN'T BREAK if you have to put it in your pocket.(Killed 2 Jawbone ear loops that way)... Makes phone calls on my iPhone 3G MUCH easier to deal with especially while driving. The "blue light" that flashes to notify you that the unit is "on" can be easily turned off with voice commands, and it STAYS OFF till you turn it back on. Not mentioned elsewhere, when you move out of range, the headset tells you "No Phone is connected". Ever walk off and leave your phone somewhere? Any time, you say "Am I connected?" Headset will confirm or try to connect your phone right away. "Battery Status" command replys with the state of charge in the headset. With the included USB/MicroUSB cable, you can charge it from your computer USB port as well. Sometimes you aren't in a good place to speak to your headset.... Elevators, theater lines, etc..... Calls can easily be answered with a touch of the BlueAnt button. A double tap will end the call. BlueAnt offers software firmware updates to add features or fixes to the entire BlueAnt headset line. I DO wish you could speak directly to the Dragon Dictation app through a bluetooth headset...then texting would be effortless as well....(that's not BlueAnt's fault though)
