Pros The sound quality is spectacular. For non-noise canceling headphones; it does a great job in at least greatly reducing it. The mic that it comes with has great quality, and great for in-game chats.
Cons The felt-like material around the ears makes my ears sweat and after a long period of time (3 hours+) it becomes uncomfortable.
Summary A great deal for the price. The overall experience from this is great and can't be happier. Just make sure that you don't have heat-sensitive ears.
Pros Design, Excellent Sound, Detachable Mic, Good thump and clarity for games and movies.
Cons Not as comfortable.
Summary I got this pair for cheap. And it is definitely worth the money. After my Zalman 5.1 broke, i decided to buy these. This one ain't 5.1 but i did not use Zalman's 5.1 either.
Creative Fatality (i don't have the patience to write in leet, sorry!) headphone has a striking design yet is very subtle and not too flashy like how the Plantronics are, though they look cool as well. The cups are made from soft velvet, usually found on sofas. That's a great touch. There is also a generous amount of the same fabric for the headband. The cord length is decent. Not too long, like my Zalman had, you could sit on the farther side of the room and still have the cord slopping to the floor! So if you are looking for a long cord, this definitely is not the one you want. The cord has an in-line volume controller and mic on/off switch. It also has clip attached to it so you can fix it on your shirt. Comes pretty handy.
Now for the sound. I am not an audiophile but they sound extremely well. I listened to all kinds of music and it delivered a crisp clear sound with enough bass, mids and treble, hitting every note and lyric clearly. The sound is wholesome and creates a good atmosphere. I tried games like CoD4, L4D, the new Ghostbusters and they all sounded superb. For movies, i tested Vexille HD and the sound was incredible. I am thinking of watching it again on these headphones!
I haven't tried the Mic yet, but they felt sturdy and looked to deliver a good performance. But i can't tell you for sure. It is detachable, i can see that being a boon to many.
The only issue i have with these phones is that they are not as comfortable as i hoped. I mean it does feel great to the ear when i put them, the velvet fabric working its charm. But i do feel the pressure on the ear and have to adjust to a different position. It is not painful, however. Neither while wearing them or after removing them. In fact, i feel like something light has gone off my ears. A welcome change from my Zalman. It does wet your ears, however. I am still feeling cool around my ears. It happens because of the pressure it creates. Happened with my Zalman too, so i am used to it.
So in the end, well worth the money for me.
Pros Decent sound quality, Clear driving bass, quality mic, Convenient volume control and mic mute.
Cons Very uncomfortable, Rigid
Summary I got this for christmas and was really glad to replace the $15 beater headset i bought shortly after i started playing Counter-Strike. Sound quality is decent i like it. It's definetly not studio quality. It's alot better for gaming that music though, explosions and gun fire through these are great. THESE ARE VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. They squeeze my head like no other and i get a headache within about 20 minutes. i don't have a fat head either so i thought it was really odd that they're so tight. Also for some reason the pad on has this wierd effect on the top of my head. After about an hour of wearing them the top of my head begins to ache, almost bruise like. I've never had this happen with another pair of headphones and i find my self taking them off alot and rubbing my head. The top is also extreamily rigid, which is what i think leads to it being so tight on my head. It has no bend whatsoever adn i actually cracked mine tryign to stretch them but at least they fit a little better now... So if you got a thin head than these are great and id reccomend them.
Pros great sound and excellent mic performance. functions exactly as specified.
Cons comfort isn't as good as i hoped. I don't know if this needs getting used to, but they feel off center and put pressure around the ears. not uncomfortable, but not the best i have used for around ear headsets
Summary its a good buy if you like they way they feel, just try them out somewhere first.
Pros comfort, bass and detachable mic
Cons addiction to wearing
Summary great headset and well worth the money. very comfortable and the bass response listening to music or playing games. detachablee mic is good for when your listening to music. the mic is so good that the volume on windows is a meer 10% and clear to the listener.
