"Best bang for your buck for bluetooth stereo..."

by robstak on May 17, 2008

Pros: Easy to use, good sound quality, interface with PC and phone simultaneously.

    Cons: only come in blue...

Summary: Hey I just picked this up at newegg.com for under 30 bucks. I've been looking for months for bluetooth headphones for my phone because im sick of the proprietary jack. So I picked these up because the price was right. It wasnt worth 100$ to me.

They are small light and compact. So far they are comfortable. The battery life is longer than stated (about 8 hours).

The sound quality *for bluetooth* is actually amazing! It's like iPod earbud quality or a little bit lower, maybe RF wireless headphone quality.

Buttons are nice and raised, good tactile feedback. The blue/red LED is BRIGHT and might be annoying in dark places.

As a phone headset, my test caller said I sounded like I was in a tunnel, but that it was better than my last motorola headset.

Distance is also longer than stated, about 40-50 ft before it drops out.

It's annoying that they only come in blue (my phone is white and my comp is black). Plus it only comes with usb cable, no wall charger, and the plug is not-standard.

Finally, I haven't gotten it yet to pair with my computer. It keeps asking for drivers and it didnt come with a CD and they aren't online. I'll have to research this more, but that's kind of annoying, because the prospect of listeining to my iTunes wirelessly and then when I get a call the headphones pause the music and answer the call simultaneously is very sexy indeed! and all for under 30 bucks!

Now they work with both and the sound quality is amazingly good! A+ guys. btw manual is useless.

Do the phone calls come through both earpieces? I had a Motorola set where the phone call was only in the left earpiece.
