"I am going to return this unit"

by cboh on December 1, 2005

Pros: Good Sound quality, light and comfortable

Cons: Hard to turn off, must have your phone close to device

Summary: This unit has very nice sound quality but one of my complains has to be that trying to turn the unit off it redials the last number called. The flashing blue lights are confusing as to what mode the unit is in.

This unit has very nice sound quality if your device is close to the phone. One of my biggest complaints has to be that trying to turn the unit off, it redials the last number called. You need to hold the button down in the middle and then your finger covers the blue light. You are not really sure it?s off unless you remove it and look at it. The flashing blue lights are confusing too as to what mode the unit is in.

If your phone is too far away you get a lot of static and if you try and use voice dial commands it will not work. It has taken me three or more tries.

So I am still looking for what works best with my LG VX8100.

I've had several bluetooth headsets and this one is the same as all the others except the buttin is sunken which is nice, I don't accidentally press the button!
Sounds like user error to me.
Replace user and press any key to continue....

Just hold down the button until you hear the tones scale downward - then it's turned off! Keep pressing, for at least 5 seconds.

Read cnet review but found the earpiece frustrating. hard to disconnect w/o redialing the last person.
    Must be charged everday.
I am going to return it also.

I am having the very same problems. I will return the Jabra BT 350. Have the LG VX8100, and was told that they work very well together. I have to hold the phone almost to the headset to get reception, so what is the point? I dropped calls, which has never happened to me before with just the phone. Hate that redialing and mode confusion. People on the other end complained of bad sound quality.
