"The reason I got a Bluetooth phone. Exceeded my expectations for performance & value"
Pros: Low price, sleek design, sound quality, comfort, fully-functional, vibrate mode
Cons: overly sensitive microphone
Summary: I bought this headset before getting my new Razr from Verizon, got it for $30 at CompUSA minus a $30 rebate (so FREE after rebate, which I have yet to receive). I had no idea just how good this headset was until I got my phone and tried them out together. (Don't care if the rebate ever comes; it's a great value at $30.)
I was delighted with the sound quality - LOUD AND CLEAR. Even wired headsets I've used for the past few years with my old Nokia don't compare to this. My car is very noisy, but this earpiece is able to pierce through with astounding clarity.
I especially like that once paired, it is easy to activate & deactivate using the simple control button. I also like that it works well with the Razr's voice-dialing feature; one tap of the button activates voice dialing and lets me call up an entry or digit dial by voice, rather than fumbling with the menu.
The vibrate feature is an unexpectedly useful feature - one of those things that you didn't know I needed until I had it.
I bought this piece intending to use it for driving trips, as with my wired headsets. But now, I carry it in my pocket at the office and keep it handy at home so I can use it anytime.
I had promised myself I wouldn't turn into one of those weird guys at the airport talking to themselves and looking like a cyborg. But I love this piece too much to give it up.Updated
People I talk to on the phone say they can hear me very clearly; between the microphone and earpiece quality there is almost no difference between this and using the handset itself.
Only complaint I've had is that if I'm using it at my desk, other callers say they can hear the other people sitting around me; they think I'm on speakerphone. I don't really think of that as a bad thing; I'd rather have that than not be heard at all.
