"Great buy for combined functionality"
Pros: good sound, very comfortable
Cons: no case, susceptible to damage
Summary: I travel 200 days a year, so the less wieght I have to carry around the better. I had a pair of noise canceling headphones but they took up a lot of room in my bag and after extended use my ears would get soar. Also, they pinched my glass frames against my head.
I first purchased a pair of Sennheiser CX 300 headphones for $100. I was told they had great low end, however, I really dont hear that much difference between them and these.
Something to note is that unless your phone has stero capabilities, youre phone converstions will be mono. Most non-smarphones dont.
The small gels arent very good, especially with lots of background noise, like an airplane. The large ones are great though, so Id buy a back up pair.
One design flaw is the way the gels attach to the buds. There is a ring that snaps into the buds and the gels attach to the ring. There is no case so placing them in a laptop bag can place pressure on the gels and break the casing for the ring. Perhaps they will release a new version with a case. This would also give you a place to store the stereo 1\4" adapter.
All in all I love them.
