"Editors Choice?"
Pros: Stays in ear. Pretty Comfortable. Price.
Cons: Terrible sound quality. Drops connection.
Summary: This is an Editors (Top) Choice? Please! It sounds like a 20 year old portable radio - lousy! I frequently have to take out the headset and use the phone to hear what callers are saying. The Bluetooth signal frequently drops my calls - I keep the phone (Motorola V600) on my belt, about 3 feet from the headset, and it drops calls very frequently. I cannot stress enough the poor quality of the sound - my Motorola headset sounds MUCH better and doesn't drop calls, but it's nowhere near as comfortable in the ear. The Jabra is not easy to carry around, either. Pretty good size - and the belt holder is fairly useless. I keep mine in a shirt pocket, but don't bend over! I would not recommend this headset to anyone who wants clear sound and a stable connection (anyone out there NOT want those things?). I'll keep looking for a headset that has all the features I want - this one isn't it. Very disappointing.

I can hear the calls relatively well. The call recipient can hear all the background noise. Call recipients are always complaining abount the noise. Mine just fell apart after 6-months. I had to superglue it back together.

I have to agree with rickyb's comments. The reception in the headset is terrible, the signal is constantly dropping in and out when using the headset with my Nextel i870. I clearly don't understand how this headset can be an editors choice. It is more like an editors joke and a waste of my hard earned money.

I had a V600 that in itself had poor volume functionality. I was not able to hear most conversations especially in environments with loud noises (think ballparks and the street). I wonder if you were to use the freespeak with another phone, what problems you would have. My guess would be, not much.

I too, like rickyb, require a Bluetooth headset that is reliable, exceptional incoming/outgoing sound quality and very good battery life (active and stand-by).
Any feedback on Cardo Scala 500?
Other recommendations? Thanks in advance.
