    "Buyer beware" on by muehler

Pros: indoors it gives decent, but not great sound

Cons: Outdoors inacceptable quality (music seems to "speed up" and "slow down"
Company is unorganized (first sent wrong item, then no refund, even so I send it back per their instructions and with RMA#, package "got lost" in factory)

Summary: Stay away. neither product nor company can deliver what's promised.

"Not worth it" on by ggorman

    Pros: Lightweight

Cons: Low volume, uncomfortable, do not fit well. Not able to configure which ear the telephone audio uses.

Summary: While a relatively good idea, it's just not there. The earbuds are terrible, don't stay in, and aren't ergonomically shaped at all. Fancy packaging and charging station don't make up for poorly thought out features.

Need to allow telephone audio from both ears, or allow it to be configured to appear at either or both. Phone audio is only about 1/2 volume of what it should be.

Lousy tech support told me "that's what others do" and "keeps out feedback". How can you have feedback when it's not loud enough to begin with? Why do single-ear headsets work just fine?? Lame excuses for a poor design.

    Don't waste your money!

"Overpriced, Quiet, Weak Bluetooth , Weird Fit, etc...." on by amg112

Pros: Honestly the only Pro I can give this product is that its a good idea that is very very poorly executed.

    Cons: Poor Bluetooth Dongle Signal
    Low Volume
Lack of Dynamic Sound Range or Low End Response
Odd fit of actual ear insertion piece
    Lack of Volume (Almost Nonexistent)
    OVERPRICED

    ... Did I mention Overpriced?

Summary: I"m writing this review because I really have to say I"m extremely angered and dissapointed at the overall lack of effort that went into the hardware design of this product. They are obviously not only using 2nd rate hardware, but also using 2nd engineering and design. If this company put as much effort into their product as they did the design of the box that it came in, then they might actually have a winner. Instead they elected to spend their time designing a high end website and package, and left the design to some guys in a dungeon in China.

Hands down this is a terrible product, please do not waste your money. If it was 25 dollars then OK, but for 150 I feel like someone ripped me off. Not to mention I got this as a Christmas gift from someone who didn't have that much money to spare..

    Ok so first...

The bluetooth dongle has as much strength in it as a Baby's pinky finger. Serioulsy, buyer beware, when you use this with your iphone or ipod the device has to be within a few feet of the headset with no obstruction at all, not even a piece of paper, or the signal will cut in and out.

This product has been stuck in a drawer since a few days after Christmas when I discovered how bad it was but I got it back out since Apple just put out the new iphone 3.0 software upgrade that supports stereo bluetooth. So I repaired it and voila, streaming stereo. But get this... I can put my iphone in my pocket at the gym or walk across my living room and I still get the signal.. this is further proof of the low quality hardware in their bluetooth dongle..

Note to Jaybird, not everyone wants to wear an armband when they are working out, especially weightlifters..

Ok next item, this sound quality is terrible....really really bad, the volume is so low if there is any background noise at all its alsmot impossible to hear. For example forget trying to wear these in a gym where they have music already playing.. it will sound like two songs playing at once, because the volume can't drown out any external noise.. some people want their music loud so they can focus when they work out.. if people are talking, then its just another noise to interfere...

wearing these on an airplane?? forget about it.. I travel a lot for business and these are worthless on an airplane.. if you fly you know how loud planes can be and you will strain yourself trying to watch a movie or listen to music with these on a plane..

using them to take a handsfree call in the car?? forget about it.. better have all the windows up, air or heat fans turned off and be parked.... I've got a luxury vehicle that is pretty sound proof and its very difficult to hear anyone speaking on these if you are doing 80 on the freeway.. so business users look elsewhere.. fortunately my car has built in hands free..

last is the design... sure its good for running/jogging/ moving around and just generally being active.. the fit over the ear is comfortable and they seem to stay in place.. the problem is the piece that goes in the ear.. its not angled correctly and doesn't go into the ear as snug as it could.. also the rubber end pieces they use have to be angled very specifically and if they are depressed or pinched at all they almost block any sound from coming out....

I called this company at one point to see if maybe I was just doing something wrong.. but they only offered excuses to me... I'm a pretty tech savy person and enjoy great products, but this one gets a big fat F in my book. Jaybird... if you want to grow your business the right way.. take a reality check and either improve your product or lower price... at 150 bucks for these, its nothing more than highway robbery...

"Good idea. Not a good product yet." on by chriscasto

Pros: Light weight. Nice packaging. Good documentation.

Cons: Poor fit. Terrible sound. Worse bluetooth connectivity.

Summary: Pretty cool website and slick packaging but product has some drawbacks. I bought the Jaybird with the iPod adapter. BIGGEST DRAWBACK - TO USE FOR STEREO PLAYBACK IT IS RECOMMENDED TO BE WITHIN 2 FEET OF THE TRANSMITTER. This is not an a conservative statement. If your iPod or music source is even in your pants or jacket pocket - it has trouble staying connected. I contacted tech support - this is how it works. They recommend you wear the iPod on your arm. I didn't see this when I bought it. It comes with replacement rubber earpieces but they are all the same size. I have small ears and they don't fit.

"must be within 2 feet of transmitter" on by tdohn

Pros: nifty idea and they look cool

Cons: The headphones must be within 2 feet (ie. elbow or above) to receive decent stereo sound.

Summary: If the headphones are farther away than two feet from your music transmitter then the sound cuts out very often. It doesn't say this anywhere in any reviews or product specs but it is on the second page of the manual once you receive the product. For me, if it has to be that close then I might as well use wired headphones and get much better and more consistent sound quality.
