"What an Excellent Headset!!!!" on by tripsixmatrix
Pros: Comfortabe when wearing, sound quality, mic quality, build quality
Cons: USB adapter size, USB adapter can easily be broken, but if you are careful with it, it will be great for many years.
Summary: After many months of waiting for this item to finally be available, it was. I bought it right away, and it was so easy to hook up/ connect. The sound and the mic both are sharp, crisp an clear. I feel like a famous pop singer when I use it. It is very comfortable to wear. And the price that I paid for it is just right! The headset's manufacturer is definitely my favorite computer accessory company to buy from.

"Save yourself some frustration, do not buy." on by arwilborn
Pros: Acceptable sound and range, provided you use the USB extender provided
Cons: The left speaker regularly shorts out an dies in a very short period of use.
Summary: I have, in a 12 month period of time, purchased two of these headsets. Both headsets, within a 2 month period of time, have lost sound to the left speaker (the side with the microphone) and the first headset lost microphone quality 3 months into ownership. I only use this product for Skype conversations and am super meticulous about taking care of my belongings. I have had the first headset replaced by Logitech only to receive another (3rd) headset which lost sound to the left speaker within 6 weeks of use. Logitech, I tried to stick it out...

"$90 headphones with $9 sound." on by Zippy1970
Pros: Installation is a breeze, headsets very comfortable, very good wireless range.
Cons: Awful sound quality, very soft microphone.
Summary: I bought these in the Netherlands where they retail for 109 Euro (approx. $140). Needless to say I expected quite a bit from such expensive wireless headphones. I can get wireless Sennheiser headphones for that money - without the microphone of course.
Installation was a breeze and was actually nothing more than plugging in the USB dongle. Windows (XP in my case) recognized it immediately as a USB Audio device and I was up and running in a few seconds. I fired up WinAmp and played some music. Wow. I did not expect such bad quality at all. There was no bass at all and they sounded like cheap sub $10 headphones I buy for my daughter's Nintendo every now and then. Seriously, I bought these headphones to replace $19 wired headphones. Problem is that the sound quality of the Clearchat doesn't even come close to that of those cheap headphones.
Next thing I tried was playing games with these headphones. That was just as big a disaster as playing music. Guns sounded like popping corks and explosions were just one big hiss.
Well then, since these things were called "Clearchat", I figured they were probably optimized for speech. So Skyp was the last test I did. I called "Skype Test Call". This is Skype's free service to test your Skype connection and the sound quality. It's just sort of an answering machine where your call is recorded for about 10 seconds, and it then plays it back to you so you can hear what you sound like to others. Sadly enough, the Clearchat failed here too. If you set Microphone volume to anything lower than maximum, it's just way too soft. On top of that, it sounds like you are talking through a Walkie-Talkie. Ok, that's perhaps a bit exaggerated, but it was again nowhere near the quality I got from the mic on that same $19 wired headset I mentioned earlier.
Needless to say I will be returning this headset on monday because I simply refuse to pay over $100 for a headset this bad. -
"Great wireless headset for VOIP conversations." on by clayw1pi
Pros: The audio quality out of the microphone is excellent with voip programs tested, i.e., TeamSpeak 2, EchoLink, Qsonet, Skype, CQPhone, and PicoPhone. I don't listen to much music on the computer so only the microphone output was really tested.
Cons: The earphones get a little tiring after awhile but this is a minor problem and doesn't deteriorate from the excellence of this unit.
Summary: I've used several wired headsets and this wireless one compares very favorably with my Plantronics ISP100 USB Headset. Microphone out sounds great as does incoming audio. Volume adjustments are very convenient on the right ear muff as is a mute button. Another nice feature is the red light at the end of the boom mic. This lights up when the mute button is engaged. Recharging of the battery is quick and last for 6 hours.
Distance is rated at 33 feet and this is also an accurate reading. I walked all around my house without losing the sound.
All around this is an excellent headset for communications. As far as music or gaming is concerned, I have no opinion. -
"Not Impressed" on by hamiltonjm
Pros: Comfortable. Convenience of being wireless. Headphones sound pretty good.
Cons: Mic is horrible. Noise cancellation mic's? It exactly the opposite. People can hear EVERYTHING in the background while I talk, plus, its a very low quality/tinny sound. VERY dissapointed because I am an avid gamer who lives on TeamSpeak/Ventrilo.
Summary: If you use a mic alot during your normal computer usage, please stay away from this product. My $20 logitec's from Walmart sound 100 times better!
