Where to begin...I want to point out the biggest drawback of this device, the installation. The unit can connect two ways to a bluetooth device, as a headset or a high quality audio device. The latter requires a special bluetooth profile called A2DP(advanced audio distribution profile). Motorola does state this a few times amongst the manual but that is only on their end. It took me the better part of the day to figure out what that profile was and if my PDA (IPAQ hx2415) came with it. It didn't. The unit still connected with the headphones but the sound quality was poor and volume was low. That was due to the pda recognizing it as a headset and not using the A2DP. Once I was able to localize an update for the pda which contained it (another two hours) is when I was blown away.
It my just be me, but when I put the headphones on and look at myself in the mirror, I look like the sony alien from those walkman commercials a few years ago. Them seem to buldge outwards just a tad, but since it's the first gen and considering everything that motorola is cramming into the device, it's not that bad.
Nobody can argue the sound quality of the headphones, I am utterly amazed at the performance and the stability of the bluetooth connection. It wraps nicely around your head and the buttons are conviniently located. I can dump my pda in my bag and skip through my tracks using the provided fwd and rev buttons. There is also volume control, a play/pause button and the sync button. Oh, I almost forgot the best part, you can sync it with your bt phone and take calls!! Better yet, the unit lowers the volume when a call comes in and alerts your with a beep. The push of the left M button picks up the call. The built in mic is awesome, due in part to digital signal processing. Once the conversation is over you can return back to your music without a hitch. I definitely recommend this product to anyone who is looking for wireless headphones or who enjoys listening to music and also doesn't want a bt headset that you can lose at any moment. Happy jamming!

"Great concept, however audio quality just not there.."

2.5 stars  | on by afendrich

Pros

Battery life is quite good. Range is also pretty good, with full charge I can get around 20-30ft away from source. The behind head design is also nice, unless trying to listen while laying down.

Cons

Sound Quality is not impressive. Do not spend the money if you are expecting to replace current headphones for listening. The constant flashing light is also annoying. It flashes ever second or two to let you know its on, or connected.

Overall I'm pleased with this purchase. They get the job done, however I'm not sure they are worth the money. I was expecting a little more from the quality of the speakers.. however I've never listened to blue-tooth headsets before. I'm not sure if the speakers are limited by the blue-tooth technology. I bought these to use as headphones to use with my laptop, and found out I could pair it with my phone also to receive and make calls. They work well with the phone, however I never find myself using them for this feature. I will be on the lookout to see if blue-tooth headsets get any better, but for now I'll stick to wired headphones for my listening delight.

"Great product. Not so great support."

Pros

Phenomenal audio. Intelligent controls. Good Bluetooth coverage.

Cons

Can be uncomfortable. Not well-suited for exercise. Flashing light when in use can be distracting, especially in a dim environment. THERE ARE NO REPLACEMENT EAR PADS!

If there were a way to turn off the flashing when in use and to buy replacement ear pads, this would be an almost-perfect product. The only addition that would make it perfect would be a noise/wind cancelling feature for the microphone. The Bluetooth coverage is excellent and sound reproduction is also. Why Motorola opted to NOT sell replacements for the only part on this product that can wear out, be lost or be easily damaged is beyond me! There is a website in the UK that supposedly offers the ear pads for sale but they're always out of stock, and no place in the US shows up in a Web search.
