Freedom to exercise, move around and commute without wires to tangle or hold you back, is now enhanced with high-definition audio and ear buds that reduce background noise and improve comfort. The S9-HD is the benchmark of wireless music powered by Bluetooth wireless technology. The unique behind-the-head design creates a secure and stable fit - even in active conditions - plus easy to use controls for track selection, volume, play/pause and send/end that allow you to manage music and calls from the headphones.Product summary
The good: The Motorola Rokr S9 HD has a comfortable and secure design and great audio quality. The buttons are easy to use as well.
The bad: The Motorola Rokr S9 HD can feel unwieldy when exercising or working out, and the Bluetooth connection cuts out occasionally if the paired device isn't positioned correctly. Also, the power button feels stiff, and the charger jack cover isn't secured properly.
The bottom line: The Motorola Rokr S9 HD is a simple and lightweight stereo Bluetooth headset, but take caution when using it for an active lifestyle.

When Motorola came out with the Motorola Rokr S9 headset two years ago, stereo Bluetooth headsets were still fairly new, and the S9 gained popularity because of its sports-centric design. Now that more phones have stereo Bluetooth capability (including the iPhone 3G, thanks to its latest firmware update), Motorola is wise to keep hammering away at making new headsets, like the Motorola Rokr S9 HD. It has a similar design to the S9, but is equipped with higher fidelity sound for your music-listening needs. We quite like the sound quality and the fit was OK, but it doesn't handle sports activity as well as we would like. The Motorola Rokr S9 HD retails for $99.99 but you can find it for as low as $60. The Rokr S9 HD comes with a Motorola D650 iPod adapter.
The Motorola Rokr S9 HD has a design almost identical to the S9. The neckband connecting the two earpieces floats slightly behind the head, and you wear the headset so that the ear loops hook over the top of your ears. It's not at all clunky or bulky, but we did find that it does pinch the sides of our head slightly. The S9 HD can also be a bit of a hassle if you have longer hair. Otherwise, it's quite comfortable to wear and it's easy to slip the headset on and off because of the slightly flexible ear loops. The earpieces sit just inside the ear opening, and there are three different size earbud coverings for a more custom fit.
The battery of the S9 HD is housed in a long and flat base at the back of the neckband. Underneath the base are the power button and charger jack with an indicator light in between. The music player controls are located above the right earpiece and the call button and volume controls are above the left. These side earpiece buttons are raised above the surface and are easy to find and press, but the power button on the neckband is a bit stiff. Also, the charger jack is covered up by a rubber flap that isn't very secure, thus reducing the headset's moisture resistance.
We tested the Motorola Rokr S9 HD headset with the Apple iPhone 3G and the Casio Exilim C721. The Rokr S9 HD comes with SRS-WOW HD sound that really amps up the overall fidelity of the music. You can choose between two SRS-WOW HD settings: one has fuller sound with more clarity, and another has balanced audio with enhanced bass. Music quality was quite spectacular as a result; the bass sounded round and full, and we were impressed with the surround sound qualities of the high-definition audio.
Call quality was a little less than stellar, but still surprisingly good. We could hear our callers loud and clear without any problems and vice versa. However, callers did detect quite a bit of echo in the background and they said our voices sounded rather harsh and machine-like at times.
We also tested the Rokr S9 HD out while jogging outdoors. The headset bounced up and down a lot, which felt a little uncomfortable and unwieldy. We also found that the Bluetooth connection would cut out every once in a while, especially if we were really jogging at a rapid pace. This happened a lot more when the paired handset was in the pocket, which might've caused a slight antenna interference; we would advise you wear an armband for better connectivity.
Other features of the Rokr S9 HD include support for call waiting and last number redial, plus the ability to transfer calls from the headset to the phone and vice versa. The Rokr S9 HD also has multipoint technology, which means it can connect up to two phones at once.
The Motorola Rokr S9 HD comes with a Motorola D650 iPod adapter, which will add stereo Bluetooth functionality to any iPod via the dock connector. It also comes with a drawstring pouch for the headset. The Rokr S9 HD has a battery life of up to 6 hours talk time and/or playback time.

Best Bluetooth Headset EVER !!!
Pros: Great Battery life (6 hours), Great functionality (Control Music, Answer phone, Volume, etc). Can sync with multiple units (Up to 6 units)
Cons: Wish for longer Battery life (8-10 hours)

Super for sports and gym
Pros: Good sound quality, comfortable, your ears dont hurt.
Cons: No cons really...
Other users wrote that when sweating the buttons stop working, I had no such experience although I am mostly wearing them when cycling and when at the gym.
Also I found good that you can have your pc or device somewhere in the house (for example when cooking) and move easily around, listening to music and/or talking to the phone without having problems like holding a phone or wires that make what you re doing difficult.
Lastly, I found the earplugs really comfortable as well as friends with a bigger head.

Worst Stereo Bluetooth Headset I've Ever Owned...
Pros: The Look...and that is it.
Cons: Fit, Sound & Connectivity. (read my summary)
I have 4 other brands of Bluetooth headsets and they all shine in their own way.
Set 1, has excellent sound quality, but after about an hour the fit starts to hurt my ears. The connectivity is great.
Set 2, fits so perfect and are so light weight that I forget that I have them on. The sound quality is good but need more bass, and the connectivity is poor.
Set 3, fit great, sound excellent but they are heavy and bulky. The connectivity is good, not great just good.
Set 4, Look beautiful, Sound excellent and the connectivity is Excellent...But I use those for Vizio TV at night so I don't wake anyone up at 3am. Plus they are too big to use on the go with my cell phone.
Now as for the Motorola Rokr S9 HD? They don't fit well at all. Totally uncomfortable, Not HD sound quality what-so-ever, Heavy, Stuff, Extremely poor connectivity.
The only thing the Motorola Rokr S9 HD have going for them is the Style. it looks very cool. In this case looks are totally deceiving. I'm trying to sell them because I took too long to return them to the store.
Updated on Jul 14, 2011Oh...one other thing...The buttons are extremely hard to push (vol, sound, track skip)

Great sound and comfortable
Pros: Great sound, comfortable and bluetooth works well.
Cons: not completly water proof. But I use it while running and unlike my original s9 neither channel has given out, the buttons stop responding but always work again after drying out

Great idea, horrible execution.
Pros: Good audio quality.
Cons: Horrible blue-tooth connection. If you take it outdoors, forget it. Attempted jogging with phone in pocket (different phones tried), and it would cut out every few seconds.
Cannot wear with glasses.
Charger cover allows in sweat, rusts out.

MotoRokr S9-HD quit working after 3 days
Pros: What is good about it? Well, it worked. I changed the ear-pads around, and it went from painful to tolerable. The "pause" button worked. I made calls, and some complained about the audio, some did not.
Cons: Well, it quit working! On day three.
Out running with my iphone on my left bicep (so I could see and manipulate the iphone screen).... it cut out a lot. I had to twist the iphone around to the BACK OF MY ARM, or put the iphone into MY BACK POCKET, or carry the iphone in a fanny-pack on my fanny, in order to hear consistently. Inside a car, where there are lots of metal objects for the signal to reflect off of, the audio never cut out, but with nothing around you ... lots of cut-outs. Even with the iphone in an arm-band, twisted around to the back of my left arm, if I LOOKED to my left (which put the motorola antenna over my right shoulder) the audio would cut out. Conversely, looking to my right guaranteed good signal strength. The fanny pack solution worked the best, and it is better than wires! Just wish the headset kept working... The headset is not loud enough. The ear-holes and their pads permit a good awareness of noises and sounds around you, but you can crank the sound up to the max and still lose words from your podcast from ordinary noises.

Steer clear of this disposeable headset
Pros: - Decent sound
- Reasonably easy pairing

Good for Iphones and laptops
Pros: great design easy to use. and arm. music and phone conversations are clear
Cons: interference when multiple blue-tooth devices are present only with music on my iphone/ipod, and not phone conversations.
cross the ear pieces when not in use to keep it snug in your ears
holds a charge for 8 hours recharges quickly. there is a way that you can use the headset with your phone and laptop at the same time.

Uncomfortable and bad drivers
Pros: Not bad looking. Easy to set-up. People had difficulty understanding me when using it as a phone headset.
Cons: Very uncomfortable my ears hurt after only ~20 minutes from the weight of the headset where the ear pods hit my ear. Also, It not run with my new Dell well, after about 10 minutes my laptop disables the device and it won't run again until I reboot.
I have not used it very much, because it was not a very good phone headset , it was uncomfortable and I had no portable Bluetooth enabled stereo device to use it with 'til I got my Dell laptop.

S9-HD Stereo Bluetooth Headset Fit Properly my Phone
Pros: I will never miss a call. Music mutes or pauses when calls come in. I once purchased one from Papatek.com, which is cheap yet I think this one is better. You can try.
Cons: Compact 1.3 cm speakers and a snug fit in the ear.

Nothing but problems.
Pros: When it works, the sound is fantastic.
Cons: Three different units, three different breakdowns, three different replacements. I'm done with Motorola.
I suspect the folks who are having good luck with these don't work out very hard.
Avoid these like the plague.

Great sounding, but don't last long if you sweat!
Pros: I bought these after another Rocketfish pair of headphones as they looked more sturdy, rubberized, and figured they would last well. I was actually surprised at the sound quality as the bass was great and overall for bluetooth they sound great.
Cons: These didn't last long at all as just mild sweat appears to break them. My volume button stopped working after about a month even and unfortunately it was the up volume and it broke all the way down.
But, if you want to spend $100 every month and you workout at the gym, just expect to buy 12 pairs a year ;-)

Ruggedly built good stereo sound .
Pros: Not visible to cops while driving! Sound quality is excellent for the size. Battery life is good, (not excellent!). Rugged, not easily damaged when used in harsh environments. No antenna wire hanging down, it's all internal.
Cons: BREAKUP!!! Shorter range than many other Bluetooth devices. Distinct pitch change after recovery from a breakup.
Updated on Nov 24, 2010After living with this headset for awhile now I do have a few issues! Why does the headset in the middle streaming audio suddenly stop streaming it, disconnects from the phone and then reconnect again? The radio that receives the Bluetooth signal is WEAK! Of this I am sure now! I place my LG enVtouch phone in a case on my belt and that is when the trouble begins! Drop outs occur unless the phone in the case is positioned precisely. While sound quality is awesome, I have replaced the rubber tips on the ends with foam earbud pads and it's A LOT MORE COMFORTABLE! Your head doesn't feel pinched after you have been wearing it for awhile and I think the audio is clearer and louder. Knowing how Motorola bluetooth devices are, the quirks this headset has are very much Motorola related. It works but be aware of the fact that you are going to have these quirks and if you can deal with these then go ahead and buy. If stuff like this drives you crazy, then don't!
Updated on Mar 27, 2011After 6-months of using this headset I would say DON'T BUY IT!!! The bass is gone, there is an inordinate amount of distortion like the sound of a cracked speaker, the audio breaks up severely while riding a bicycle and then changes pitch when it comes back. The battery life is max 4-hours of continous music play. Headset shuts down after a period of no use and when you try to answer a phone call, you can't! The volume is insufficient and on some softer recorded pieces is simply not adequate to hear but only adequate when in quiet areas. The buttons are confusing and 90% of the time I hit the wrong ones! It is comfortable to wear AFTER I changed those rubber earpads to the foam ones used by most earbuds. These headsets do not last long and considering what I paid for these, this is tragic! The quality just isn't there and I don't recommend anyone purchase these things, you'll end up being pretty mad that you did!

Excellent product!
Pros: Awesome sound quality, freedom from wires.
Cons: Have to play with it to make it fit snugly. Music cuts out very rarely. Not as much bass as some people may want.

One of the best blue-tooth sets so far.
Pros: Excellent sound, very easy to use, nice fit (comes with 3 pair of ear plugs), no loopy wires, the design is flawless (2 years old)
Cons: Uncomfortable at times, especially when I need to lay my head down. Sometimes there may be a problem with the signal, it would take 2-5 minutes to configure itself.

The best invention since Sliced Bread!!!
Pros: Lightweight, comfortable, AMAZING sound quality, simple to use, controls my music remotely (phone stays in my pocket), I could go on and on...
Cons: I wish you could turn up the volume one or two more "notches", but it's plenty loud for most of my music!
I have to say that I really LOVE the sound quality of these headphones as well. Oh, and I agree, the people who don't like these headhphones (complaining of poor sound quality) either purchased a cheap Chinese knockoff online, or are trying to use them with a phone that doesn't support "Stereo Bluetooth". Note that not all phones support Stereo Bluetooth, but if your phone does, get these headphones, put your music on your phone, and ROCK ON with these headphones, wirelessly!

Wont last as long as you would like
Pros: Sound is great, comfort was awkward at 1st but after awhile you get used to it.
Cons: Had it for a few months, wont charge anymore. Sometimes the signal drops out no matter where the phone is. Not sure if sweating or being in the sauna causes issues that might not have happened if i just wore it around the street

Great product, other reviewers have crappy phones
Pros: I have the Palm Pre and I had no problem with Volume, pause, skip forward, or skip back. I just read a couple of previous reviews and if those people must not have phonse capable of handling those buttons.
I'm loving this product.
Cons: The design makes it harder to lean back and just listen with out awkwardly tilting your head. When laying on the bed I just put something under my neck. I guess you need a trade off when trying to make a solid product.

Great sound & design, horrid quality and durability
Pros: The sound on this is awesome and fit is great too. The design is sleek and when it works, it's awesome - easy to set up, etc.
Cons: This is my 4th S9 in 14 months. The quality on this is awful. The customer service was awful and it cost me $12 each time I had to ship my old faulty unit back to get a new one. The problem is, this is not built for people that workout or sweat.

Great music quality and phone quality
Pros: Was very impressed with the phone sound quality, I sounded better than any other headset I've used wired or bluetooth. Worked well with my iPhone for music and phone calls. Has very good battery life.
Cons: Takes a little getting used to the fit. They are snug around your head and the earbuds are a little odd, but fit.

Pros: Deep bass, sound is good, great call sound
Cons: Unwieldy uncomfortable, cover on power plug under the back does not stay closed

Great for light activity, hard-core athletes beware!
Pros: Decent sound and the fit was comfortable. RF range was just what you would expect from Blue-Tooth.
Cons: Not sweat resistant in any way shape or form. If they get wet, even slightly, they WILL malfunction.
If you plan on using these for around the house, yard-work, light working out then I think the are fine, but if you are a hard-core athlete who really works his gear as hard as him/herself (US Marine, CrossFit, MMA), do not get these, they are not for you.

Not the greatest, but ok.
Pros: Seem durable and well built. Decent sound quality. Work good with my blackberry.
Cons: Dont fit very well and pinch your head. Cant wear them with glasses. Heavy in the back and hard to keep in position.
Using with bluetooth mouse on Win7 laptop, and they work until you start moving the mouse. Then the mouse lags and sound stops.

Pros: Works well, sounds good
Cons: a little uncomfortable at first

Great sound, not so great for the ladies
Pros: Excellent sound, lightweight, available in Canada, no wire to get torn
Cons: Too small, gets tangled in long hair, gets tangled in hairbands
I won't speak to the quality of reception except to say that it's no better or worse than any other Bluetooth device - bad reception outdoors or in large cavernous areas, good reception indoors. I wouldn't buy any Bluetooth appliance for primary use outdoors.
I have never used these for sports or exercise (you can't wear them swimming, of course), so I can't speak to their durability in that regard. They have survived at least one fall onto concrete without harm.
One benefit of the S9 is that if you have long hair you can wear them without anyone seeing you're wearing headphones, which is handy when it comes to personal safety. Nobody sees your headphones, nobody knows you have an MP3 player, and nobody tries to steal it. (Laugh if you wish, but you probably don't travel through the north end of Winnipeg regularly.)
All in all I'm glad I bought them. I only wish they were slightly larger and smoother.

Faulty volume controls
Pros: Great sound. Ease of use
Cons: Returned 3x due to the volume controls not working properly
After a while, the volume controls stop working. Very disappointing. Motorola honors the one year warranty but when the year is up and the next unit stops working I will be out of luck.
Do not purchase.

great sound quality - terrible build quality
Pros: the sound quality has been greatly improved. I actually said out loud "WOW" when I first heard them. great bass response, easy to pair with my blackberry, the controls are nicely laid out.
Cons: This will break like all other Motorola S9s have in the past. The customer service will continue to dissapoint me, and they will never pay for the return shipping.

So Disapointed
Pros: Syncs Perfect with my cell phone and Lap Top. No wires. I can run on the treadmill and watch all my You Tube videos and still hear over the sound of the belt and get all my calls
Cons: YOUR NOT SUPPOSED TO SWEAT! The moisture from your sweat fills the ear buds causing the caller interference. If your ears are plugged the mic can't pick up vibration from you auditory canal. Next, your sweat shorts the electronics.
So we married and decided to go on long workouts together BUT that's when everything changed. They didn't tell me should couldn't handle my sweat. Eventually she gave out and I started dating my x-ipod.
I'm a little sad...

Good but less than stellar
Pros: Sound quality is good
Cons: cuts out; screws up your network settings on the iPhone; doesn't work as expected with the Mac or iPhone.
First, I was a little shocked by the user guide that openly admitted that this product doesn't work well unless it has line-of-sight to the source. This means, and they specifically state this... that keeping your iPhone in your pocket will produce less desirable results. They recommend using an arm band style of carrying case. Personally, I've noticed it cut out and/or change the speed of the music (which is really weird) when I've kept my iPhone in my pocket and used the S9-HD at the same time. Had I known this before I purchased, I might have passed on this model.
Another problem that I ran into was that the music would cut out as soon as the screen on the iPhone went into standby mode. At first, I couldn't believe it but some research revealed that someone else had this problem as well and going to Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Network solves this problem... at least temporarily until the next time it happens.
Finally, I've yet to be able to make them work with my MacBook for iChat and iTunes. It seems to have two modes, one with the mic and one without. I can't seem to listen to music and then go into a chat the way that I would use with the iPhone between music and a call. It's like it is one or the other. In 'chat' mode, the music is horrible and in 'music' mode I have no mic.
iPhone users should also know that the track forward and back buttons do not work with the iPhone 3G (not sure about other models). This is apparently a problem with the iPhone and not the headset but, again, it would have been nice to know this in advance.

could have been great
Pros: Good sound quality, comfortable to wear for 2 hours
Cons: smallest earbud is too large, no adjustment for ear canal angle
If you press and hold them in place the sound is great, but they won't stay put. I'm going to try Plantronics Backbeat 903 next.
My unit seems to have a defect also. The first day these worked fine, but the second day and after there are frequent drop outs while music is playing back.

The best $50 I have ever spent
Pros: The sound quality is outstanding. Great bass reproduction even in very low range.
Easy to pair.
Shape fits my ears/head like it was made just for me.
Cons: Sometimes the sound cuts out when I am in open spaces.
Laying down or resting your head back against something moves the earphones out of your ear a bit and you loose some of the bass.
The bass is not the only thing though. The SRS WOW creates a sound environment that just makes me close my eyes and swim in my music.
The comfort of this unit is amazing. I have had it on for about 4 hours now and can barely feel it. I wear glasses and was concerned about it interfearing with them, but the pressure of this unit is concentrated directly in the ear canal with a very soft cussioned earbud. It only lightly touches the top of my ears and I can even take off my glasses without having to take off the headphones. Like I said above it feels like it was molded just for my head.
The battery takes about 1.5 hours to fully charge and you get a good 6 hours of play time. The charging port is a mini USB like the ones you find on cameras and camcorders. This is excellent because you can use any mini USB cable to charge it from your laptop or home PC. So with no extra cost to me I can charge it just about anywhere I go.
I give Motorola huge props for using the Mini USB port. I am so sick of having a different charger for every item I buy.
I use it with my Samsung Flight mobile phone. It was easy to pair and I have not had to repair it yet. All of the controls work perfectly with my phone. The headset works well when talking on the phone. I have not been asked to repeat myself yet and do not miss any calls because the music pauses when a call comes in.
I have read in many places that this is not the best headset for phone communication because it does not cancel out background noise. This is true, but I try to avoid talking on the phone in very public places anyway. I think it is rude. So when I talk on the phone I try to be in a somewhat issolated area for privacy.
Since this works so well with my phone, I am going to invest in a very large microSD card so I can take a better library of music with me. I have no need to own a seperate MP3 device now. I carry my phone everywhere I go anyway and now I have one device that functions very well to communicate and to entertain me when on the go. Motorola has really come through with a technology that takes advantage of my phone's multifunction capabilities.
Bottom Line: If you want the best quality sound available for listening to music without wires and without spending a rediculous amount of money this is your product.

use it EVERYDAY w/BlackBerry Curve & laptop...LOVE IT!!
Pros: FANTASTIC SOUND & BASS QUALITY!!
STAYS PUT!!!
FAST CHARGE & LONG BATTERY!!
Cons: Took off half a star for this...NO NOISE CANCELLING
(this effects the people I'm talking to, not me, so sorry... that's their problem! its payback for the times they put me on speakerphone and I could only hear the last 4 words of their sentences)
i work in a mall, so walking through on my way to the coffee shop, sometimes people complain about the noise in the background. but, as i said earlier, they'll have to get over it. in the car or in my office no one notices the difference.
i also love that i can listen to my TiVo shows and movies on my laptop without disturbing anyone...washing dishes while watching/listening to movies/music...and cleaning around the house. at work, while setting up my sales floor, i just leave my phone in a centralized location and i can move about, vacuum, set up registers and run reports with the ease of wireless.
i love that it will automatically pause my music for any incoming or outgoing calls, and then resume my music once the call has ended.
THIS WAS MONEY WELL SPENT!!! i highly recommend this product if you have ANY of the above needs/desires.
Updated on Dec 21, 2009some suggestions based on other reviews i've read....
if you have long hair - try placing the headset's bar UNDER your hair. i have VERY THICK, CURLY LOOOOONG HAIR (almost to my waist), and it works fine as long as i place it under my hair. they do pop out of my ears if i try to place them over my hair.
if they aren't staying in place - the units come with 3 different size ear buds. you may need to try a smaller/larger size ear piece. you should not be having problems with them coming out.

Expensive for what you get
Pros: No wires, cool look, external controls a plus, syncs easily with my blackberry
Cons: VERY poor connectivity outdoors with music listening and phone use
people hated talking to me on the phone, poorly designed...earbuds fell out because they are only glued in. after trying to fit the rubber covers the ear buds ripped out.

It looks cool... that's it
Pros: Looks great, great sound quality when listening to music.
Cons: Extremely uncomfortable and horrible call quality
I ended up taking this garbage headphones back and replaced them with the Altec Lansing Backbeat 906 bluetooth headphones. The new ones are by leaps and bounds a better product and highly recommended. Great call quality (people can't tell I'm on bluetooth headphones), very lightweight and aren't obstructed if you wear glasses. While the bass-response isn't as good as the Motorola's, overall quality and satisfaction with the product results in a 10/10 for me.

Decent product but overall dissastisfied
Pros: Sound quality is good, buttons are easy to use, it syncs easy with my iPhone. I have not had any problem using it to talk on the phone. I've not used the buttons much but they work ok so far.
Cons: I have a small head and it still clamps too tight and hurts my ears. The design feels awkward. It is too uncomfortable to use for long. Reception poor when I am moving around or if the phone i s not just perfect in alignment with the headphones.

Has good points-bad points Good outweigh the bad
Pros: Sound is fantastic. Music in both ears, phone call in both ears? The best. Range is fantastic.
Cons: Going to be tight on big heads.
For my head, the fit is excellent. These things are not coming off, unless I take them off. Solid feel. Not all the controls translate to the iphone, which sucks. Some people state the pause button works, but not for me.
Bottom line. If you have a smaller head, this headset is awesome.

Can't imagine being without them
Pros: The motorola S9-HD work great indoors.
Sound is great. The build quality is fine. Worked right after charging. I've use for a week now and charge time is great. Phone runs out before they do which is at least all day for me. Call qualilty is great.
Cons: As soon as I go outside the sound breaks up.

Great sound -not so good physically
Pros: Great sound, it is impressive how well the device delivers sound.
Great battery life.
Surprisingly light and excellent fit. Perfect for sports.
Cons: The small ear buds continuously fall off the headphone.
The blue-tooth reception is not good.
The call quality is less than acceptable.
The charging mini-USB receptacle is covered by a rubber cap that doesn't seem to fit well.
The sound quality is outstanding (once you manage to line up your transmitter and the earphone). SRS WOW HD technology does make a difference.
This earphones fit almost perfectly in your neck and fit well in your ears, and since they are very light then don't fall off easily. Perfect for running, jogging or similar activities.
My two biggest complains are poor call quality and poor blue-tooth reception. Also, the ear rubber pieces fall off the little speakers very often. I would like to see an improved blue-tooth reception, a much better call quality and noise-canceling earbuds (the currently offered earbuds are not very good) all of it in the exact same design. I think Motorola nailed it with this device but making this little improvements will make this earphones the best of the market.

Returned it 4 times in 10 months
Pros: Great sound, easy to pairing, light weight and comfortable, on wires.
Cons: I had to return or exchange my S9-HD 4 times in 10 months because the microphone stops working about every 2.5 months.

Not great with iPod touch
Pros: Sound quality was a little flst untill I enabled the SRS option. After that it was very bass heavy. The fit was good on my large head.
Cons: I have an iPot touch that has os 3. I expected that the bluetooth functions of the Ipod would match up with the s9-HD. The fast forward, pause and rewind DO NOT work unless you use the included dongle. Even at that the connections drops all the time

Only one word "Outstanding"
Pros: The sound quality is amazing.
It connected to my iPhone without any issue.
Cons: I could see where it might be somewhat uncomfortable to someone with a large head.

If it only worked as advertised!!
Pros: Great Sound!!! Light weight
Cons: It does not work if you sweat a lot, I have returned one and the second I cannot return Motorola wont answer my calls, emails and faxes .These units are useless if you want to use them for sports, The control buttons do not work after one month.
A much better purchase is the S305, cheaper and more comfortable.
Motorola customer service and International warranty are simply non existant: stinks!!!
STAY AWAY FROM THIS HEADSET!!!

S9 was not dependable not sure about the Rokr S9
Pros: no experience with this product but the S9 was junk. after a few months the left channel stopped working. Motorola replaced the S9. After a few more months the new replacement pair stopped working too. Motorola did not replace the new pair.
Cons: good design , good sound, fantastic idea.

Worst "connectivity" known to man
Pros: Lightweight. Great sound (when not cutting out)
Cons: cuts out when you enter the outdoors. This is a show stopper for me.
You will find my pair of INDOOR s9-HD headphones on ebay... :)

Products function buttons will fail after moderate use.
Pros: product has good sound and is lightweight
Cons: I had to return my s9 6 times (yes, no exageration) under warranty, and this was with normal use in the gym, no abuse of any kind. Each time motorola replaced it with a new one, every new device failed the same way.

Like it BUT...... too many issues had to return
Pros: Light weight, looks cool, sounds fantastic (but see below)
Cons: Constantly cut out with Apple iPhone (and the iPhone works fine with two other bluetooth stereo headsets I've tried), the controls are a little hard to use without poking your ears and not very intuitive.

Pros: The sound is great I use with my Omnia i9810.
Cons: The rubber cover for the micro usb port for charging

Useless product! Don't sweat or expect customer support
Pros: IF they worked, they would be very convenient for using with an active lifestyle (gym, bicycle, jogging, etc) ... too bad you can't do those things with these headphones
Cons: You can't sweat at all in them!! Any mild sweating causes the buttons to not work.
ear buds are not very comfortable
Customer support is poor!
I tried using mine in the gym and when bicycling.
Evidently, you can't let any sweat get on the headphones, or the buttons go bad. Do a google search to see how many complaints there are about these headphones. Plus, see the YouTube video which shows one recommended work-around by spraying the headphones with hairspray before using, in order to creat a type of protective sealant against any form of perspiration.
Additionally, Motorola support is pretty useless. After making it through the voice-activated call-screening system I received "help" from a tech who really didn't seem very keen in helping me. My problem is that I bought my headsets when back home in the US, but I live and work overseas. Motorola, for being an international company, does not provide INTERNATIONAL support!!!! When I repeatedly asked to speak with his supervisor, he refused and said they have no supervisors available. After the 5th request to speak with a supervisor I gave up on that idea. He finally relented from my insistence and told me that they will ship me a replacement product to a relative's address in the US (great... now I have to wait until December to have my second pair break within a few days!!).
I will repeat the refrain of so many others. DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT and avoid the hassles of dealing with poor product quality and poor support.
By the way, in my google search I came across so many complaints of people replacing these headphones between 3 and 13(!!!!) times!!!!

S9-HD A big Step up from its older Model S9
Pros: Great Bass, Best i heard for Bluetooth
Makes great use of the SRS effects in songs unlike the older S9
Slight light design. Good for light - medium outdoor activities.
Water Resistant, everything is sealed up to protect from rain
Cons: **Box lists Apple as one of its supported models, But Fails to mention next/previous track not supported by any Current OS (3.0)
Position of where you hold your phone will determine interference AKA skips
**Price should be $99 like the older S9**
Amazing sound, Great Bass, Nice slim Design just like the normal S9, 6 hour Battery could be a little better, but very workable
Although the S9-HD should be $99 like the older S9 which its Replacing (S9 is discontinued now) i paied the full 129.99 CND at Futureshop, and have no complaints other then the lack of Iphone track skipping support. Which has nothing to do with the headphones itself

very good, would reccomend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pros: very good reception, have no issues with cutting out like other reviews, very lightweight, look good, sound great!!! love the ipod adaptor and the case. good battery life also!!
Cons: a little uncomftrable to me after extended use (like 1.5 houss), but might be the way my ears are :p
i also like how the charge time is relatively short!!!!
my pair of them work great with my razr v3 and ipod touch 2g on 3.0, i would definatly reccomend to a friend!!!!! dont listen to all the cutting out crap, they work great

Great sound quality for music & calls.
Pros: The sound quality on this headset was great, especially for the price. Great job with music - especially using the SRS Wow settings. Can really hear the bass and doesn't sound at all tinny. Good sound on calls too. Easy to use controls.
Cons: Only problem I have is the fit. I have kind of a small head so the earbuds don't quite sit in my ears like they should. But it's workable, so I'm fine. I would not use these for working out, though. They just don't feel that stable.

Great if not sweating or riding a bike
Pros: Ear bud design
Stereo
Sound (when it works)
Cons: Bluetooth transmitter
Volumen buttons freeze and erroneously change up & down
Sweat/water seeps under protective cover
DO NOT BUY THESE based on expert reviews they haven't used them like we do to know.

A great headset, with great sound, good connectivity
Pros: Unlike the CNet review, I had no trouble with stability of the headset while jogging. The sound quality is such an improvement over my original S9, and rivals wired headphones everywhere except in bass. Excellent bluetooth connction to my HTC Touch.
Cons: While bass is much better than in the original S9, the earpieces still are external to the ear, limiting the bass response. My experience with Bluetooth is that it is a little TOO sensitive, picking up other people's cell phones!

Improved reliability over S9. Stereo phone calls.
Pros: Stereo audio for phone calls and richer, deeper bass as compared to S9. I have used these for the past month and they already have outlasted my S9's - double the lifespan!
Cons: Same as before and noted elsewhere; comfort could be an issue especially if you have long hair.

Best wireless headphones
Pros: Great sound quality and easy connectivity. It paired really well with both my Sprint Instinct and my Ipod touch. I would highly recommend this for anyone who is looking to get rid of those annoying headphones with wires that tangle up or break.
Cons: Fit wise, it took some getting used too, but other than that no cons on this product at all.

a very good sounding wireless headset
Pros: found this product to have very good sound in low and mid level decibles and connection to ipod via adapter was a breeze. love the wireless at the gym no worry of catching a wireon equipment or your arm.
Cons: noticed at very loud decibles the bass of what was the crystal clear sound starts to distort the quality even if bass is lowered in ipod settings. also some issues applying headset to pc's (xp ok vista not that simple)
