Pros: Clear sound, sending and receiving.
Physically comfortable, easy to wear for long conference calls.
Reversible ear hook for securely fitting it to either ear, easy to switch.
Compact design for easy carrying, stowing.

Cons: Lowest volume setting is TOO LOUD in quiet environments (Motorola standard)
Tiny controls require nimble and slender fingers to manage easily.

Summary: I use the Motorola H17 flip headset every day and for almost all my calling. I switched to this model three months ago after a failure of a Motorola H15 I was trying out. Though similar to the H15 flip, the H17 is a big improvement over its predecessor. I use the H17 while walking, while driving, while in the office, for personal and business calls, including multi-hour conferences.

Physical convenience:
As with the H15, I like the ease of switching the H17 on or off with the flip. I like the way it folds into a compact little mass for easy stowing and transport when not in use.

The H17 is much smaller and lighter. I often found my ear complaining from the weight of is predecessor after only short (less-than-30-minute) calls, but the H17 fits so comfortably and sits so lightly, I often forget I have it on.

Although some have noted that controls are small and do not have much "travel", and so may be difficult to operate, I have found them quite satisfactory, as my fingers are slim and nimble.

Call quality:
Calls come through quite clearly, with little degradation compared to using my handset.
My voice is clear to my interlocuter in all conditions, and much improved over handset calls when there is background noise.

I do have one complaint: In quiet environments, the lowest volume setting is TOO LOUD for me. For example, when I listen to voice mail in the library, people around me look up and tell me they can hear the messages I am receiving. After sending me a replacement which has the same TOO LOUD volume properties, Motorola support tells me that all their headsets have the same standard minimum and maximum volumes. Too bad. Otherwise I could use the H17 for all my calling.

As it stands, I am very happy with the H17 for noisy environments, but for operating my phone in quiet areas, I have to hang the H17 off my ear or turn it off and use the handset.

Pros: I picked this headset because it doesn't stick in your ear canal. Very small, lightweight and comfortable. Sound is good on both sides, no complaints.

Cons: Because it lays on your ear instead of sticking in it's not a real tight fit which may bother some people. It can "flop" a little at times but doesn't shift or fall off.

Summary: I have tried multiple headsets and this is by far my favorite.

Pros: Small, light

Cons: PACKAGING! They could make 3 of these with all the material used! Sound quality isn't great and it's slightly overpriced.

Pros: Clear sound on my end of call. Very lightweight, comfortable, easy to use.

Cons: The people I called complained about the sound cutting out, echoing, and that my voice went in & out -- even when in a quiet room.

Summary: Loved most everything about the H17, but too many complaints from my callers about the poor sound quality. Motorola support said it shouldn't have those problems and I should exchange it at the Sprint store. However, I was only eligible for one exchange, so I bought the Plantronics 975 instead. My callers said the sound quality on the Plantronics is dramatically better and very clear.
