Light, fits well, sound in tinny, sond out good.

Pros: Light.
Fits on the ear very vell and one can forget about it.
Mocrophone works well, other people do not notice HF much.
Fine control buttons

Cons: Lack of A2DP profile - cannot listen to the music.
Tinny sound.

Review: Fits very well. One can forget about it. Fits well even when shaking head.
I am not "ear bud compatible", so I had to use this type of HF. Sound is not so excelent as with earbud, on the other hand I do not feel as half deaf. Sound quality seems acceptable (not excelent).
Microphone seems working well.
Previously tested HF had A2DP profile and I was able to listen to the music.
This one does not have it and I am little disappointed, it is not "must have" feature, but at that price I would expect it

Perfect souns quality

Pros: Sound quality

Cons: Getting used to earpiece

Review: Sound quality :)
I have tried at least 5 other Bluetooth headsets on my N95 from Jabra, Motorola, and Plantronics. The incoming sound quality on most of the other headsets was pretty good

This is the first that sounds remotely like a good quality wired headset. It also does an excellent job in noisy and windy environments.

I strongly recommend this device over any other device currently on the market.

Good but not Great

Pros: Design, comfort, good call quality

Cons: shuts off when answering sometimes, shuts off on its own, static even when phone is in the holster

Review: I loved this headset due to all the positive reiews and the design. Many of my friends thought it a tad bit bulky at first, but loved how comfortable it was (once they went through the ritual of putting it on.)

The first few weeks of use were fine, however, something weird began to happen. The headset would shut itself off when answering calls, and the call would transfer to the phone. Also, hear static now, even though phone is in the belt-clip holster. The greatest outrage occured during a christmas party where it just shut off completely, even though I had it charging the entire day.

Get it at a discount, otherwise you will be in for a sore suprise.

Buyer's Remorse

Pros: Easy to use volume, pairs easily with the 8525

Cons: powers off upon answer, background noise

Review: I'm convinced that no bluetooth device should have moving parts - and the Nokia BH-900 is why.

It pairs easily to my 8525, and works well with the voice dial. The volume is ample, but it often is difficult for the other party to comprehend what is being said due to background noise.

The most significant problem with this earpiece is the way it intermittently powers off when I answer call by sliding the arm out. Intermittently is an understatement - frequently is more appropriate.

I assumed it was a fluke, and exchanged it for a new one, but the same thing happened - consistently.

Quality sound and looks. No Echo. Worth every penny!

Pros: This Bluetooth headset sounds great and people on the other end cannot tell that I am on a wireless headset. AMAZING!!!!

Cons: It's a little tough to put on my ear, but once it is on, it is comfortable.

Review: A must have for the bluetooth lovers.

Clearest Bluetooth headset? Until it dies.

Pros: Clearest Bluetooth Headset

Cons: I know of 3 units that have died

Review: I?ve tried many different headsets, wired, wireless, cheap, midrange and expensive, and the Nokia BH-900 is the clearest headset that paired with my T-Mobie MDA.

I like how the noise you hear when you increase or decrease the volume changes in tone as well as volume. Also, nothing beats having the microphone as physically close to your mouth as possible. This is the clearest headset I?ve used on both ends of a mobile phone call. The only problem I had with the headset is that the ear clip hurt my ear with extended use.

The Nokia BH-900 was a great bluetooth headset until it died after 6 months of use. Nokia replaced the headset under warrantee but the replacement died after 2 months of use. I then found out that the headset I gave my father (same model) had died as well.

I've always trusted the build and quality of Nokia products but this particular product has greatly disappointed me.

Very Impressive

Pros: Comfortable, Good sound quality, Easy to Use

Cons: Hard to Put On, Small Buttons

Review: I've been through at least 3 Bluetooth headsets. All of which were uncomfortable and difficult to get on my ear. The BH-900 is a little difficult to put on at first. But, once it's on it's comfortable and it doesn't feel like it's going to fall off.

The buttons are a bit small, but sliding out the boom automatically answers the call. Sound quality is clear on my end and people I'm talking to - even on cell phones - cannot believe that I'm on a headset.

Best Headset I Have Owned So Far...

Pros: Build Quality, Battery Life,Call Quality, Easy To Pair And Use

Cons: Difficult To Put On Ear, Mic Very Sensitive To Background Noise

Review: Im a heavy bluetooth headset user and I currently use a Motorola E-815 and a Treo 650 and average 4,000 minutes talk time per month and I use a headset 99% of the time. I have owned many bluetooth headsets, mostly from Motorola though I have tried several other brands with no satisfaction since the inception of Bluetooth Headsets.
My complaints with bluetooth headsets have always been about poor reception, voice quality or headset fit.

I bought this headset as a interim headset while I waited on the Aliph Jawbone and I got it based solely on the CNET users reviews and this headset has excelled above all others in talk time and voice quality.

I have sinus problems and often my voice is naturally muted with headsets but when I left myself a voice mail with the BH-900, it sounded as though I was using my handset or a landline. I worked around Naval Aircraft for 20 years and have some hearing loss so I ALWAYS have to turn up the volume to max and sometimes press the headset against my ear with my hand to hear some soft speaking callers. For the first time I have found a phone headset that I have to turn down because it hurts my ear at near max volume.

Paring is also very easy with my phones. Just turn the headset on and the phone finds it. No holding a button until the light glows steady or any extra steps. It even makes the first phone you pair with it the priority connection so if you use multiple phones with the headset, you just turn off one phone and the headset switches to other paired phones (up to 8 one at a time), no muss no fuss.
The sliding boom mike is a wasted feature because the mic is so sensitive. I cant tell any difference between it being extended or retracted as far as voice quality goes and extended it actually rest on my cheek which is not good with a beard.
I do notice that when you are not speaking, the mic seems to auto amplify background sounds as if it thinks you are speaking softly but so far nobody has complained and people actually ask me if I have a new headset because it sounds so good and clear.

It is not an easy headset to put on and for me it requires 2 hands and my long hair makes the task even more difficult because of the fork like prongs of the clips catching my hair but the inconvience is handsomely rewarded once it's on your ear. No flopping around at all and it's almost too tight. My ear measures 3 inches from top to bottom so I probably stretch the prongs more than most but after wearing the headset a few hours it does hurt my ear but I think in time the fit will get better since plastic forks seem to be opening wider with use.
When I wear it on my left ear the buttons are easy to access and use. They could have made the volume button a shorter toggle or a rocker switch but it's more of a preference than a complaint.

Todate this headset has far exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend it to any first time users because of it's ease of operation, functionality and use.

Very good headset by Nokia

Pros: Very clear sound quality on both ends

Cons: No vibrate mode

Review: Before using the BH900, I used the Nokia BH802i. The main gripe that I have with the 802 is that the sound quality that I receive is good, but the microphone does not do a great job on detecting my voice clearly. Not to mention that the device randomly pairs and unpairs with my phone (I use a Nokia N70 btw).

Then came the day when I first saw the BH900. It was love at first sight. I immediately bought it after testing it. The BH900 connects well to my phone (none of the random pair/unpair ever happened once) and also the microphone really does a great job on hearing my voice. The recipient of my calls do not even know that I was using a bluetooth headset. It really is that clear!

The other great plus point is that, the BH900 uses the same type of charger as my N70, so less equipment is needed to bring on my travels. The boom mechanism slides in and out quite smoothly and even without extending the boom, the recipient is still able to hear me quite clearly. Only when in noisy environments do I need to extend it.

The buttons on the BH900 are small but adequate (I have large fingers) and also, getting it in for the first time really is HARD. You have to practise getting it in quite a few number of times before you get it. Now, it only takes me 2 seconds to slide it in comfortably. Both ears feel comfortable wearing the BH900 (And I really have large ears mind you seeing that I'm quite large in figure).

So, to sum it all up, the BH900 is really a very good wireless headset by Nokia. If only it has a vibrate function and a small LCD screen like the Jabra BT800, it could really be the best out there.

For me, it's a keeper!

Pros: Excellent sound, in both directions. I also like the expanding mic, provides excellent sound. Once fixed on your ear, it doesn't flop... you almost don't realize it's there. Noise cancelling. Elegant

Cons: Larger then most, unusual ear hook, expensive

Review: I've tried a LOT of other BT headsets... Nokia BH800 (works its way loose from my ear, then flops around), Jabra JX10 (poor sound), Plantronics 655 (ear bud works loose, then falls off), etc.
This device, although it is larger then most others, is very elegant, stays on my ear firmly (I can shake my head back and forth, and it doesn't come loose)and has GREAT sound quality! The ear hook DOES take getting used to, but for my ear, once it's on, it feels firm, yet doesn't hurt my ear after extended usage. While others have complained about low sound volume, I find it more then loud enough, even having to at times turn the volume down on either my cell phone or on the 900. Buttons are easy to find, have nice tactile feedback and easy to use (the on/off, which is small, once you take the 900 off of your ear, it's also easy to find and use, so it's not a problem). While I do wish it were smaller, it's very elegant, with a very small, discreet blinking lcd... unlike most other devices where you'll light up a darkened theater! Answer calls by either simply extending the boom mic, or tapping the multi function button. Hanging up is as simple as retracting the boom... clever design and simple to use in operation! Boom doesn't have to be extended to work. My cell phone is the Samsung T809, and I have not experienced other people's reported problem of headset dropping calls or losing it's connection to my phone after three heavy days of use. My recommendation, get it from a store where you can try it out and return if you're unhappy, but if you can learn to use the unusual ear hook and manage to get it on your ears and comfortable, this headset is A WINNER!

Perfect but for one minor flaw

Pros: light, excellent sound and mic quality

Cons: earpiece is awkward to put on, rather small buttons

Review: This is a great piece of bluetooth technology. Nokia put together a pretty decently designed headset. Having gone through 7 different sets before this one, I've got my share of ideas of what works and what doesn't.

The sound is great and the toggle volume control is the best when seated on your ear - when I kept trying to get it on my ear I kept changing the setting. The mic, with the help of the boom, is better than the Plantonics and Motorola ones I've used before it. It's light and after several hours you easily forget its on your head.

My only complaint was getting the blasted thing onto my ear. It's design, once on, works great - but just getting it on is a pain - unless you have very stiff ears...

The buttons are a tad small, but still manageable.

Was curious - the boom extends out - why didn't Nokia make 'that' the call activator instead of the tiny button? You get a call, you slide out the boom and it's on - slide it back to end the call - maybe have a "halfway" slide to mute it? Seems like a rather simple concept that even Nokia could pull off...

Nokia, if you're listening, that would make this a killer device :)
Updated
The boom mic DOES indeed activate the call and end it... does pay to read the instructions more carefully - excellent product!!!!

Does the job the first time.

Pros: Easy, fast setup. No problems. Egonomics. Looks

Cons: Price is up there

Review: When I first opened the package and saw this little beauty, I liked the look. Upon further inspection, I found the soft, supple ear hooks to be very comfortable and the unit to be feather-weight. After a charge, I connected it to my V557, configured the phone and it was working in less than 2 minutes. Since then I have not had one issue or problem with this unit. It seems to have a good stand-by time and the voice-command dialing works great unless there is a lot of bg noise (normal behavior). I really like the confort and the convenience.

Best one yet!!!

Pros: Solid fit, perfect outgoing sound, easy operation

Cons: sounds/tones from cell phone hard to hear

Review: This is the best headset I have had so far... and I have had lots of them. The sliding boom mic is a very easy way to answer calls, and an obvious signal to others that you are on a call when extended. The outgoing sound is perfectly clear. Unlike the other reviews, I have not had an issue with incoming sound volume levels (the "volume up button" makes short work of that problem) and I have not had a pairing issue of any kind connecting it with my samsung SCH-730. I agree it might be uncomfortable for someone with large ears. Once on, it stays on... running, upside-down, etc.

GREAT HEADSET THE BEST OUT THERE

Pros: LONG STANDBY AND TALKTIME GREAT SOUND

Cons: THERE ARE NO DOWNSIDES

Review: I Have used a lot of different headsets but this is the best one so far
GREAT SOUND , FITS PERFECT, GREAT DESIGN.
NOKIA.... GREAT JOB ON THIS ONE!!!

So far its the Best I've used!

Pros: The BT connection is solid and extremely clear; Excellent battery life.

Cons: Doesn't have a power save function.

Review: To date I've used the Moto H500 (my favorite of all Moto's BTW), HS850, HF820 (car) and a few Jabras, but the BH-900 is shaping up to be the best I must say. A solid and clear connection with outstanding battery life has sold me. I also love the distance as walking throughout a 2 story home proves easy for the BH-900. The real test should come during one of the many conference calls I have throughout a week so we'll see. I'm currently using with a CDMA Blackberry and GSM Sony-Ericsson and the headset responds well to both. It does cost a pretty penny but its well worth it as far as I'm concerned. A worthy buy, "you should get it", is my recommendation.

Far from perfect but probably still the best

Pros: Excellent sound quality... well, most of the time

Cons: Turns itself off, disconnects from the phone

Review: I tried Jabra JX10 - the ultimate garbage. I tried a couple of Motorola headsets - so-so at the best. This unit is reasonably comfortable and - most importantly - sound is the best of all I tried. Occasionally, it drops connection with the phone but fortunately not in the middle of conversation. The worst part is that sometimes - every couple or so days - it turns itself off and cannot be turned on unless connected to the charger. Apparently, technology is simply not there yet.
BTW, Nokia customer service SUCKS!

Okay Headset

Pros: Very clear call compared to Motorola Headsets

Cons: The volume is not loud enough.

Review: I like this headset even though its hard to put on your ear. It's kinda big and long. The volume is not loud enough for me. But the calls are very clear with no static. I can be very far from my phone, and calls are still clear. I had the Motorola H700, H500 and H605, and they all suck. I am happy with this Nokia even though its not loud enough. I recommend it..

Best Headset So Far!

Pros: Good volume, works in noisy places, good size buttons

Cons: Ear hook a little awkward

Review: After testing 5 different headsets in the last few months with my Treo 650, I decided on this one. It doesn't hurt my ear at all. No pain from ear hook being to tight, no pain from a gel earpiece in the ear. The control buttons are good size and very easy to use, just the on/off button is a little small. I like the fit of the unique ear hook. It is by far the most comfortable I have worn yet. Boom mic does not need to be extended to use it. I have had no problems with it losing its bluetooth connection with the handset. If I get more than 30 feet away and return to the phone it keeps the connection. Other headsets tested were the Motorola HS700 (caller volume too low), Jabra JX10 (loved it, except the ear gel piece in the ear was very painful after wearing it for 1 hour), Jabra BT350 (good for basic BT headset, no noise reduction), Logitech Mobile Traveller SE (Verizon version - DO NOT BUY!, drops calls and loses connection constantly) Logitech Mobile Traveller (General Version - Logitech kindly replace the one mentioned above with the previous version, I loved this headset and wish I hadn't lost it. I would have bought a new one but I couldn't find it in a store locally and needed one ASAP) Hope this helps anyone else out there looking.

Best Sound Quality Out There

Pros: Sound quality, sound quality, sound quality

Cons: Getting used to earpiece, re-pairing with phone

Review: I have tried at least 10 other Bluetooth headsets from Jabra, Motorola, and Plantronics, even the most expensive ones. To varying degrees, the outgoing sound quality always had a tin-like quality, wind-interference and significant amounts of static. The incoming sound quality on most of the other headsets was pretty good, even better than this.

This is the first that sounds remotely like a good quality wired headset. I use my phone for business calls. Therefore, outgoing sound quality was the most important issue for me. People I speak with do not even know I am using a cell phone. It also does an excellent job in noisy and windy environments.

The only major issue that I have is that the headset often loses its pairing with my phone. Once you get used to it, it is not difficult to re-pair with the phone. However, it is sometimes annoying. The other issue is that the device used a one size fits all earpiece. For those of us with large ears, it is difficult/impossible to make the speaker fit squarely in your ear. As others have written, this makes the incoming volume less than ideal. However, for me, it is not much of an issue.

I strongly recommend this device over any other device currently on the market. If you care about outgoing sound quality, this device is for you.

Money well-spent

Pros: amazing clarity (ppl can't tell you're on bluetooth), sliding boom gets right up to your mouth, battery life

Cons: ear hook (still works, just weird)

Review: Best bluetooth, I've bought. I had the Moto HS850 and H700...both crap with so much static. Then this came out. No problems at all. Highly recommend it.

User Rating: 4/10

A good college try, but ultimately falls short

Pros: Sliding boom mike, lightweight, stylish

Cons: Confusing controls, won't stay connected to phone, poor sound volume

Review: After a thorough search for a boom mike bluetooth headset, I was initially thrilled when I saw this one. After reading the inadequate an confusing owner's manual, it took me 20 minutes to get a connection with my cell phone, a Treo 650. Unfortunately that connection didn't last, and I found myself having to reset both the phone and Treo to get it to "find" the headset again, although it only works some of the time. Additionally, the speaker isn't loud enough even with the volume all the way up. The "ergonomic" clip for the ear works, but you have to pry it open and wiggle it in to put it on.

I called Nokia and (after 45 min on hold) was told that they aren't yet selling this in the US (I bought it in Virginia at Best Buy last week, despite it not being sold in the US) and he didn't know why the cell phone connection was dropping. Although this is a Bluetooth 2.0 headset, it should be fully backwards compatible with a Bluetooth 1.1 Treo.

Overall I'm going to have to take this back, unfortunately.

Great Earpiece! Love the Boom! Style and Function!

Pros: Beautiful Piece, Excellent Interface, Comfortable, Light, Good Noise Reduction!

Cons: Not Loud Enough, Interacting with Blackberry not very consistent, Not much dead battery warning!

Review: I saw this earpice at my local Best Buy for $99 and quickly snatched it up as I am a professed early adopting tech junkie!

I first followed the directions to a "T" (most people don't and then when they are ticked off that the unit does not perform their way they go crazy and slam it on the boards)...you need to fully charge the unit before you use it! It takes anywhere from 75-90 minutes to charge and the battery lasts about 7 hours total...I don't care about standby time, because I try and charge it daily. The first three times you charge...wait til it is dead then charge it to thoroughly condition the battery. This little bit of inconvenience will extend the life of your unit and its operating time as well!

I connected the unit easily to my Blackberry 8700c from Cingular and it worked great...sound is pretty good but not exactly loud enough for me. I want the thing to be so loud that I have to turn it down for comfort...but it is just under the realm of loud.

I love the volume toggle switch and answer button...they are handy and pretty precise. What I do not like is the proprietary power plug that I cannot find a car charger for...and the fact that the sliding boom does not answer calls when extended in my application. That sliding boom is so cool...I want it to function as much as possible on my communication. I did notice that closing it ended my calls quite often.

One situation that burns my biscuits is that it down not stay connected to my phone! If I let it sit for a while, it will disconnect and reconnect to my phone every so often(about every 20 minutes) it is not always successful reconnecting and then when I try and answer a call and use it I have to turn the unit off and on to take control of the call and hear and speak through the earpiece...ugh! I hate that! I liked the way the motorola earpieces interfaced a lot better with my blackberry and I might end up turning this beautiful device over to my wife because she currently has a nokia phone. But its such a sharp and comfortable earpiece I find it hard to let go of!
