"Excellant, better than I anticipated."
on by Duffy07023Pros Easy pairing, sound quality, controls
Cons The Strap
Summary When I received my tags, they paired with my I-pod and I- phone with no problem. But the sound would drop out if anythig got between the device and the tags and would return when the obstruction was removed.
I called Outdoor Tech and they exchanged them for another pair, no questions asked.
My new pair is great, they are not recomended for the gym, but that is where I use them most with no problems. I use the supplied ear hooks and the larger size ear pads and they stay in my ears without a problem.
The sound is good, about equal to a pair of Skull Candys. They don't have the volume of wired earbuds but I solved that problem in I-Tunes by increasing the volume in settings.
My phone works well with the tags, no one has complained on the other end of the call.
The pause, volume and track controls work well.
The neck strap can be a little annoying, it can curl up and bug me on the back of my neck. This is a small complaint. If you smooth out the strap before you put them on it is not a problem.
I have recomended OT Tags to a few people, and I am quite happy with them. -
"Good performance from a brand I've never heard of."
on by YslasMAPros Great sound, great connection, next strap is innovative.
Cons The ear buds fall out too easily while running.
Summary Great device. When bluetooth headphones first came out I used Samsung products, those proved to be shoddy, even with gentle use. I eventually switched to Motorola so that I could run with them. They have really good sound, and the newer ones claim to provide "sweat resistance." Even with that they don't last more than 9 months. These OT headphones are great, they provide good sound, a great seal in your ear so that you get good bass, they're lighter than any other set I've used, and the "ruggedized" next strap is functional and light. The only complaint I have is that they slowly come out while running. Every couple of minutes I'll have to push them back into my ears. I know they're not advertised as running headphones but that's why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. The only thing that remains to be seen is whether or not they'll outlast the Motorola's. If they last at least a year I'll never buy another brand again.
