Manufacturer description

Experience conversations with superior clarity with the innovative M3500 Bluetooth headset. Thanks to Plantronics Audio IQ technology, you can enjoy freedom and unparalleled audio quality that sets a new standard in wireless communication - clearer, more natural-sounding conversations in noisy environments. Audio IQ technology automatically analyzes incoming sound to enhance call quality. In a noisy environment, the M3500 will improve incoming audio quality without causing distortion so you can hear clearly. Active noise cancellation and an integrated Digital Signal Processor (DSP) reduce background noise so your voice is transmitted clearly to your caller, even in noisy environments. The M3500 supports both the Bluetooth headset and hands-free profile - allowing you to roam up to 30 feet from your Bluetooth device.

Quick Take: Although light and compact, the Plantronics M3500 Bluetooth headset is made of firm, unyielding plastic, resulting in an uncomfortable fit. The inflexible ear hook doesn't help things either, and the tiny buttons are difficult to manipulate.

What the headset lacks in comfort, however, it makes up in sound quality. We tested the headset on the Nokia 6820, the Motorola V600, and the Sony Ericsson T616. The overall performance was generally good, with first-rate volume control and solid sound clarity. Yet we sometimes found the headset picking up too much wind noise. Plantronics promises 3.4 hours of talk time and 3.2 days of standby time. In our tests, we found that the standby time is closer to 3 days. Good, but beeps WAY too much

Pros: nice snug fit, fairly stylish, good reception

Cons: beeps incessantly, rather large, feels less secure than it is, simple pairing procedure

Review: While this is generally a good headset, it beeps for reasons unbeknownst to me at the worst possible times. I think it might be beeping when it transmits sounds (which for a wireless headset is really stupid). I don't know, I got it for free with my phone and it's relatively useful.

Works well - Order the replacement ear pieces

Pros: good volume, easy to connect, replacable battery

Cons: original ear pieces are lousy

Review: First order the replace3ment ear pieces, they are soft rubber not like the hard plastic originals. you can get very extended battery life if you turn off the headset when you get through using it, then when you want to use it turn it on and press the big button to connect. I like the one button feature to answer or call. just hold the big button for 2 seconds say the name of the voice tag programmed into you phone and the call is made. as with m ost any headset wind noise is a problem.

Nice entry-level BT headset

Pros: The M3500 is pretty easy to use and good on battery life. Cost is a major attraction.

Cons: It's got a bit of a cheap feel to it. If you drop it, the battery case flies off. Also, the ear clip is easily broken and not as easily replaced. Finally, listening on this device can result in some distortion.
