"Hugely Underrated"
on by asaffriedPros Light, comfortable, plenty of Volume, good sound quality, not bad looking, battery life, functions, voice feedback
and voice commands are wonderful.Cons Takes a little getting used to various buttons and functions
Summary This earpiece is not as reviewed and celebrated as its peers?could find it only at a Verizon store and was actually on sale for 79.99 for the price or for even 40 more - it will still blow all of the others out of the water IMHO?
I can't use earpieces with the ear loop or any over the ear type - no matter how comfortable and light it is it starts to annoy me after few hours in my ear? This leaves me with in ear ones.
Recently I had the Motorola Effinity, Jawbone era (and Icon) and the Bose?
The Bose was the most comfortable of them all and even without dsp had the best sound quality, however, without any advanced features and questionable battery life - I will have to pass on it and wait for the next version.
The Jawbone could be electronically better, but being so heavy, uncomfortable and their tendency to crap after few months - that one will take a back seat until they decide to make strides in the way it fits in the ear.
Tis one is not much of a difference in ear fit however a little deeper fit, a little better ear gel and much lower weight (so it feels) it stays secure and unnoticeable in my ear? also the fact that it does not need the motion sensor to be touching makes it function even if it moves a little.
The jaw bone era is supposed to be a little less sensitive for motion sensor placement - So why is it there at all?
Voice commands are not customizable (yet) and I didn't find it that useful, I rather have commands like voice dial and maybe the ability to modify the preset numbers.
The triple microphone seems to do a good job and the incoming volume seems to adjust well in noisy places.
The only disappointment is that at high incoming volume the speaker seems to be overdriven at times but that is not a biggie - I suggest run to Verizon and get it for 80 the best deal you can get for such high end piece? -
"No voice dial ability"
on by ImasummerbugPros comfortable
Cons No voice dial ability made this useless for someone who must make calls from the road. Giant step backward.
Summary if you need this to make your phone hands-free, skip it.
