Plantronics Voyager 520

Pros: excellent audio, simple pairing, and professional clean look

Cons: good fit, but not the most comfortable after continuous hours of use

Summary: I bought this headset because it had a simple professional look, quality construction, effortless pairing, and good performance. It didn’t disappoint in any of those aspects. The QuickPair system is great, never have a problem with it. Sound quality has been excellent, and it’s ability to hold a charge has been good too. The headset is comfortable, but after hours of continuous use it can tend to become somewhat noticeable.

I’ve been using it with the Sprint mogul, which is definitely not the best performing phone regarding Bluetooth operation (although its cons are severely overblown). Even with this phone, the performance is good. Some static is noticeable when you’re about 20 feet from the phone, but the phone may be to blame. Some of the phone’s Bluetooth issues are supposed to be addressed after the scheduled firmware update Q1 08.

If you’re more concerned with performance and functionality than fashion appeal, then I’d recommend the Plantronics voyager 520.
