  • "Does not work with iphone 5"
    2.5 stars

Pros: Stays on ear, clear sound. Very good noixe cancelling overall. Hands free features are great. Control buttons well placed and easily accessed. Good product, pairs fast with phone.

Cons: Does not work fully with iPhone5. Ear gels do not fit into ear canal. Obtrusive, bulky, but functional, design. No protective case or holder (minor issue)

Summary: I am a former road warrior, have used BT devices for years. The Jabra BT250 was one of the best but is no longer made. Bought this one for the over-the-ear design since they don't tend to fall off your head/ear when you lean your head over. It is a great product and worth the dollars. I had a 4s and had no real problems with it but I upgraded to the 5 and that is where the problem lies. It simply does not work with the phone. It is not a 'user,' firmware, etc. problem...they are just not compatible. I read other reviews on the 5 issue but I had a 4s as noted. The Voyager cuts out in the middle of a call and you must switch back to your phone to hear and be heard. The callers voice will distort as if they are out of range. I heard a loud buzzing sound like someone was standing next to hair clippers but my caller could not hear it fortunately. I was really hoping that Plantronics and Apple had solved the problems but as of this date 1/1/2013 there has been no resolution. If you have a 4s again no problem. I want to keep the device but looks like my loving wife will be wearing it or you can buy mine if I sell it on ebay. The device is only 2.5 mos old.
