Pros: They look good and have sound decent with most music.

Cons: Within a month the "control talk" buttons ceased to work and the left speaker began to sound crackly. Buttons also sent false signals to my Iphone, activating control talk at random and auto pausing my music mid workout.

Summary: I use these headphones exclusively for the gym everyday, and am not a heavy sweater (even when doing strenuous workouts). I did a little research before buying these and found a mixed bag of good but mostly bad reviews (but ended up going against my better judgment and getting them anyway). I owned them for about a month when suddenly the "control talk" buttons on the cable ceased to work. Being the stubborn person i am i decided to just continue using them anyway, and unfortunately the problems only got worse. A week or so later the headphone started prompting my iphone to activate the voice control option at random, thus cutting out my music in mid workout. Then the left speaker began to crackle off and on, however that particular issue has seemed to stop as of recent. Point is, sure every one raves that beats are the way to go and their top of the line over ear headphone im sure is brilliant, but these are very unbecoming of a brand that wants to compete in the upper echelons of athletic headsets.I can't help but think that these would be much better if they ditched the controls on the cable to make it more durable against moisture (besides who needs to talk on the phone during a workout anyway) Rather than getting a replacement i have the Bowers & Wilkins C5 on order, hopefully those will do much better.

    Hi

I am trying to decide whether to buy Powerbeats or the C5, but have not found any comparisons. It looks like you have tried both though, so it would be great if you would share your thoughts on them. Or on other pairs of earbuds that you have tried after the C5, if any.

    Regards
