"It's one of the best pair of headphones I've had." on by Jpomac360

Pros: 1.They're wireless, I know It's obvious but it just feels so good.
2.The range is good (about 20ft from my experience) and I had no interference.
    3.It's rechargeable
    4.They're pretty comfortable
5.They're also usable on PC,along with the microphone.

Cons: 1.They're not very attractive, at least not when you put them on.
2.It's wireless USB only so if you lose the dongle, they're basically useless.
3.The 7.1 Virtual Surround Sound is only available while playing a ps3 Game
    4. Nonadjustable mic on PC.

Summary: I've been wanting wireless headphones for a while so I decided to get these since they were cheaper than the competition, have a mic, and are for ps3 (since it's the console I have). The wireless function is so comfortable, I don't have to even touch my headphones anymore to go to the kitchen, or bathroom (lol), or wherever in the house. The volume of the headphones and the mic can be adjusted right in the headset, and when using a computer, the last volume changed becomes the default volume. For example, If the volume on the headphones is on max and I adjust it from my computer the dial on the headphones becomes unnecessary for optimal volume, and vice-versa if the dial is used on the set the one on the PC is not necessary to use.
The quality on the headphones is great and they provide decent noise cancellation. It doesn't block the noise of someone talking loudly (unless you're producing sound on the headphones) but it does block annoying miscellaneous noises.
I highly recommend these for PC users, hardcore or casual gamers, and movie watchers.

"Great value, sound and design." on by cdsmith_2002

Pros: This gaming headset only cost $79.99 on sale at a local national retailer. The virtural surround absolutely works. The headset does a better job of immersing you in the game than my $1000 surround sound system.

Cons: The instructions said that the virtual surround will not work for Blu-Ray movies.

Summary: Great value, and hard to imagion something better for $79.99.

"Idiot proof, super comfortable, great value." on by TySchwab

Pros: - Could wear for hours.
    - Literally 10 seconds to set up. Plug in dongle and turn on the headset. Connects itself.
    - Great sound for gaming, music, movies.
    - Best value available.
    - USB Rechargable.
    - Compatible with PC's (and Mac's I believe?).
    - Volum

Cons: - Battery could last longer (about 5-6 hours on a charge). However, unless you go on extreme gaming binges, you would have time to charge in between times playing. Doesn't take too long to charge and is USB rechargeable.
    - Surround sound does not work wit

Summary: I researched and researched and researched and finally decided to purchase the Sony official PS3 headset. After testing my brother's Turtle Beach PX 21's that are $20 less, I had seriously thought about snatching those. However, they are not full 7.1 or even 5.1 surround sound. Neither are these, however they have a virtual 7.1 feature that makes it seem like full 7.1. The volume buttons are sliders that are located on the left side on the rear and front of the piece respectively. To mute, just push the left plank. In other words, no fumbling with a little remote trying figure out which is the voice volume and which is game volume. It's all there easy to access on the fly.

I bought these for the specific purpose of playing games like Battlefield 3 and MW3. After playing for about 12 hours with them on Battlefield, I am supremely impressed at their performance. They may not have the ultra-crisp sound that the high-end Turtle Beach sets do, however they are roughly half the price. Unless you are a true audiofile, you will not notice any major shortcomings with the quality of sound.

They do not support Blu-Ray surround sound as of yet, but Sony has said they they intend to send out the capability in a future system update. Overall, if you want a high-quality headset for a great price, the official PS3 headset is really the way to go. Sony will support it with system updates that will continue to improve an already great product. They cannot patch those things for non-official sets.

"Most awesome headset I have ever owned!" on by Microgates

Pros: Fits great, sounds even better, best peripheral (Besides the controller) that I bought for my PS3.

Cons: A 10 hour battery life minimum would have been nice, but I'm just nitpicking.

Summary: I bought mine on the day it came out and have been super impressed with it. The sound is fantastic and allows me to play at night long after my wife has gone to bed. It actually seems awkward to me now "Not" using this when I play (Even if I have a day off and am using it during the day)Highly recomended!
