  • "Decent headset, but poor fit and not always clear sound"
    on by grtgrfx

Pros Pros: small, on-off switch, big command button, plenty loud, connects easily

Cons Cons: average looks, so-so audio quality (reception) calls myself often when it's in a jeans pocket, falls out of my ear all the time.

Summary It's an okay headset with a few caveats: often sound quality is poor when you're calling another cell phone or cordless landline, so you may not understand caller. Sound is decent when talking to a caller on a wired landline. It is susceptible to wind noise. When I put mine in a pair of Levi's, for example, the pressure of sitting often triggers a call to a random number in my phone book. Boy, that's irritating. And the earpiece is one size only and fits loosely in larger ears. I put a foam cover on mine and it helps somewhat, but don't try eating with it on, it'll fall out.

On the plus side, it is small and the power switch is great to save the battery. I wish more headsets had dedicated power switches. The charge lasts several days, which is nice. Handy in multi-room apartments as it has good range. Connects easily to various phones (succeeded with Sony-Ericcsons, Nokias and iPhones).

  • "Great for Christmas gift."
    on by runytry

Pros Great gift for Christmas also keep in mind great for saftey. The Samsung WEP470 is a simple, comfortable, and affordable Bluetooth headset. It has a power switch.also keep in mind great for saftey. The Samsung WEP470 is simple and comfortable

Cons The Samsung WEP470 has an uninteresting design and requires an ear hook for stability.

Summary I love the fact that it will inforce saftey. It is very affordable and well managed it just do not have the hook stability. But great for Christmas Gift

  • "Better than the Aliph Jawbone (Gen 1)"
    on by thrashertm

Pros Inexpensive, fits well on my ear, easy to use on and off switch and volume controls, range is great - (have used it up to 20 feet away from my bluetooth transmitter).

Cons Volume could be a little louder - sometimes it's a little difficult to hear while driving at 80MPH on the freeway. Would also be nice if it came with some fitting customization like the Jawbone on the earloop and inner ear bud.

Summary I've had 4 Bluetooth headsets over the last 5 or so years, and this one is the best and was the least expensive. Isn't competition wonderful? My last headset was the original Aliph Jawbone, which due to design flaws is now falling apart. This Samsung headset has a built-in on/off switch, the audio quality is on par with the Jawbone, and the ear loop fits comfortably for me. Highly recommend for bang/buck.
