"comfort and sound that amzed friends with "better" sets" on by JacksSmirkingRevenge

Pros: the options and design of the ear pieces is great.no complaints on either end with sound quality.simple yet not too plain design is nice(dont need something futuristic..overall price at at&t online was great.extra ear wraparound is a bonus.

Cons: The buttons, while wearing the set were a little confusing and small but you get used to it.havent tested distance yet.my phone is always near so no comment on it yet.have had it for a couple weeks so we'll see if anything else pops up.

Summary: Having my ears being shaped slightly different inside, the funnel design and 3 options are great for me.I mainly use when i walk the dog and its so much easier than holding a phone(a thin light touchscreen non the less)and while im on the computer at home its easier to multitask with both hands free.
I've owned 3 or 4 other headsets and the 300 is by far the most comfortable and well fitted piece yet.i tried the motorola S9HD wrap around set and that beats the sound for sure but it seems like it was made for music more than a phone device.and its just overkill for what i need a set for.i have a small iPod i use if i want music.
I'm not up on the latest quality brands when it comes to headsets so i wasnt sure what to make of this one until i did my research.of course there are mixed reviews, but thats with anything.but the there was much more good then bad with this one so i took my chances.turned out to be a great decision because i couldnt be happier with it.I have and will continue to recommend this product to anyone asking about great headsets.I am a new fan of soundID as are a couple friends who took my advice.
Thanks C-NET for your review and input on this piece.it helped a lot.I've trusted a few other reviews you gave and now own what was reviewed. You havent disappointed yet.I'll always come back before buying anything new to see what you have said about it or if i need specs.

"Elegant simplicity and worth every penny..." on by roderick_fitzgerald

Pros: Effortless pairing (no problems at all)
Excellent performance (does exactly what it claims)
    Quality design (minimalist, sleek, lightweight)
Wonderful fit (over-the-ear, S/M/L ear gels insure a snug and comfortable fit)
    Simple to operate

Cons: "Piano" black finish scratches easily

Summary: I paired this headset with a BlackBerry Tour 9630 and, as recommended by Sound ID, turned off "Echo Control" during Bluetooth set up (from what I understand, the "Echo Control" setting can sometimes adversely affect sound quality.) Pairing was effortless. Callers say my voice sounds clear and natural and they have no difficulty hearing or understanding my speech. I confirmed this by leaving a message on my voicemail; my voice sounded natural and I could hear very little background noise despite the fact that I had called from a busy grocery store. I could hear faint background speech only. I also use voice dialing and have been easily understood by the system, encountering trouble only when I give commands where there is a lot of background noise (on a crowded train, for example.) The headset's range is also adequate and exactly as claimed. Sound ID claims a range of about 30 feet. I encountered faint static at 40 ft, which is 15 feet through and beyond my front door. The "PersonalSound" feature is easy to work with, but I haven't needed to go beyond the "Normal" setting and have not encountered any issues with hearing and understianding the other party. My overall experience has been extremely positive. The headset has performed exactly as promised and within an extremely pleasing form factor.

"Four words: I LOVE THIS BLUETOOTH" on by gamegrrrl

Pros: Good fidelity, small lighweight, fits in the ear without the infernal earloop (my Jawbone earloop broke of TWICE), fits snugly and stably in ear, even when moving around. Buttons are concealed but easy to find by touch.

Cons: None that I can find. I looked high and low for two years and I think I finally found a really excellent, affordable bluetooth headset.

Summary: The three words above are ones I never thought I'd say. I have spent the last two years trying to find a bluetooth headset that worked for me and this is the one! I have had three jawbones, and the last two the earloop broke of permanently ruining the head set. Thank you CNET, which is where I found out about the Sound ID 300!

"Poor sound quality..." on by jptgs1

Pros: Very comfortable in the ear, first device I've had without the ear loop.

Cons: Could not believe the poor sound quality when coupled with my iPhone. Sound was extremely tinny at best.

Summary: I used it for a week and returned it. Went back to my Plantronics 520.

"I'm split 50/50" on by ssgsoja

Pros: The fit is unbelievable and the sleek design is really nice

Cons: The bluetooth seems to have a mind of its own. Sometimes it's paired with phone, but when I answer the phone, the call is on the phone and not the bluetooth. I hear the phone ring in the bluetooth, yet when I answer, the call is only on the phone.

Summary: I really wish this thing worked as good as it fits. I'm going to keep it but I'll probably just continue using Motorola only.
