In the world of Bluetooth headsets, you often wind up in the land of the unknown. Beyond the big names such as Jabra and Logitech are a variety of smaller companies that can produce a gem product now and then. Take, for example, the EzTalker Mini from Tekkeon. Though this is the first Bluetooth headset we've reviewed from the company, we were impressed by the unit's comfortable fit, its compact form factor, and its quality performance. Moreover, the price is fair at $79.95.

Measuring just 2.1 by 1.0 by 0.8 inches and weighing a minuscule 0.5 ounce, the EzTalker Mini is one of the smallest headsets we've seen. And with Bluetooth headsets, usually the smaller a design is, the better. We like that the unobtrusive form factor doesn't make us resemble a telemarketer, and the minimalist black-and-silver design is pleasing to the eye.

Though we're not big fans of a protruding earpiece, the EzTalker's comes with two rubberized tips that slide comfortably in and out of the ear. You can wear the headset in either ear with or without the flexible ear hook. We preferred using the ear hook; the overall fit was more comfortable, and the headset felt more secure. In either case, the EzTalker is so light that you hardly know you have it on.

Controls are minimal and easy to use, though they are a bit small. A multifunction button turns the headset on, manages calls, and readies it for pairing. A single LED light behind the button indicates the headset's status. There also are two tiny volume buttons on the side of the device. It took a couple of tries, but we were able to locate them during a call. Support for voice dialing is included, as long as your phone is compatible. (For a list of cooperating mobiles, check the company's Web site.) Just press the multifunction button, and you can fire away.

We tested the EzTalker Mini with the Motorola Razr V3. The pairing process was straightforward and took only a few seconds. Likewise, call quality was very admirable. We enjoyed clear conversations and adequate volume on our end, and callers reported the same. The Tekkeon EzTalker has a rated talk time of 5 hours and a promised standby time of five days. We recorded four days of standby time on a single charge. Fortunately for road warriors, the headset comes with a compact travel charger.

Disapointed

Pros: Nice size and comfortable fit

Cons: Persistant echo and fragile construction

Review: I really wanted to love this blue tooth! It is a great size and on my end, the sound is great. The down side is that I receive constant complaints about an echo. It is somewhat resolved if I manipulate the ear piece but as soon as I think I have it right, the complaints start up again. :( My Tekkeon has also started to fall apart bit by bit.

Great budget headset

Pros: Inexepensive, small and light, good sound

Cons: Typical blinking blue light

Review: Overall this is a fantastic headset. I bought mine from Newegg early 2007 and it was around 40 bucks. The sound quality is pretty good, but with a select few people I have trouble hearing them. Volume is nice and loud, almost TOO loud, you'll most likely have to turn it down a bit. Pairs great with all devices I've tried (Sidekick 3, T-mobile MDA, Razr, and an old LG camera phone). For the money, especially now, you can't beat it. Nice jawbone alternative.

Only real complaint I have is the fact that that annoying blue light cannot be disabled. To be fair, it's not really a problem with this headset though since all headsets have that issue, so I didn't consider that when I made my rating.

Superior bluetooth headset

Pros: Very light, easy to connect, clear sound, great price

Cons: If you turn the volume up too high, callers report echo...just turn it down a little, it is still loud enough to hear.

Review: This thing is awesome. Sadly, I broke one of the volume buttons and didn't send it back before the warranty was up. My superglue solution did not work either. :) My mistake aside, yeah, if you are considering this one, you won't regret it.

Perfect little headset

Pros: Small, easy to use.

Cons: None I can find.

Review: I personally love this headset. Most of the time when I use it, the caller on the other end wants to know what I changed, only because I sound BETTER on it than I do talking directly into the phone itself. Only complaints is it seems sensitive to wind, but I think most are that way so I can't really ding it for that. It was easy to setup and it is easy to use. I think it is the most comfortable set out there and I rarely need the hook unless I'm moving around a lot. I especially love the size. I don't feel like I just walked off the set of Star Trek when I use it! I've e-mailed their customer support and they were very responsive and easy to work with. I highly recommend this product!

BUYER BEWARE!!!!

Pros: small, lightweight, comfortable, optional ear-hook provides stability

Cons: POOR MIC/SOUND, no car charger, voice recognition for voice dialing is RIDICULOUSLY BAD

Review: I bought this product (actually, a gift from my mom) based on the positive reviews & ratings from both 'Users' & 'CNET editors.' However, I am extremely disappointed!!! This unit is useless outdoors. Just walking on a calm day while using my Tekkeon ezTalker mini has the person on the other end of the phone saying it sounds like I'm in a windstorm! And the voice dialing feature is the poorest & most frustrating I've seen!!! On the very rare occasion when it does recognize the name I've spoken, when it asks for confirmation and I say "YES!" it moves on to the next possible match. So nerveracking it's COMICAL!!!! As far as indoor use ... yeah, I've had a few comments that the sound quality was clear. However, I can't walk more than 10 feet from my phone w/out horrible sound degradation. Potential buyers exercise EXTREME CAUTION!!! Unfortunately, my mom lost the original shipping box & invoice, so now I am stuck with this POS!!! :(

Trixy, I finally found the quite-perfect bluetooth headset

Pros: Great volume, great bluetooth range, great sound quality, power efficient, very durable, VERY functional

Cons: nothing worth mentioning

Review: If you've read negative reviews about this headset, basically, they are wrong. Granted, there are certain situations, but....

My first BT headset was a Sony Erricson something. Looked GREAT, performed terribly. Sound design, poor. Couldn't use it while driving. Range was only like 5 feet before serious static, so I did not have the mobility I needed (10 meters, please? ok, 5 meters? 4?) Eventually fell apart, in just 2 months.

I was very discouraged. (on this note, it is possible that the model that I got was one of their very first bluetooth headset releases...)

Four months later, I finally decided to replace my bad experience by researching BT headsets, with the intent of not repeating my first experience. My research led to this little guy. And let me tell you, the research was right. I bought it in October, so I have 3 months experience with it.

Here are the best things about this headset:

- I have dropped it several times, but because of its weight and design, it is very durable. And usually you can't tell by looking at it that you dropped it. Nice

- battery does last a long time, like 5 hours or longer. And if you have BT 2.0 on your device, it will last like eight hours.

- if your ear will let it work, you don't need the earclip. My ear lets it work, and it is soooooo nice to not have to mess with the earclip. I do have to adjust it in my ear every so often, but manageable for me.

- bluetooth range is very nice. 10 meters is pretty accurate.

- sound is good and LOUD, if you need it to be. Adjustable, of course.

Finally, this does not say that you will NEVER have a problem (like having to reset your phone to reset the bluetooth stack on it, piece of cake, occasional), but I can promise you, this is frosting compared to what you could be going through.

Avoid this if you use this outdoors most of the time

Pros: Light weight, Comfortable, and Great if used indoors

Cons: Too much noise if used outdoors. Ear hook is easy to break and can't find a replacement

Review: I love the compact size, look, and feel. It's comfortable to wear for a long period time, but not too long. The sound quality is great when used indoors.

However, when used outdoors or in my convertible car (this is the main reason I bought it), people on the other end can barely hear you due to too much background noise. You will have trouble hear them too even you turn up to the highest volume. Trust me you will become frustrated.

After less than a month of use, my ear piece was broken in my pocket (it's fragile). I was disappointed that I can't find a replacement for my ear piece even from the Company's website.

I would not buy this product if you will use it outdoors often. I'd also suggest the Company to build a noise reduction feature so this product may be used outdoors comfortably.

A good buy

Pros: light, simple to use

Cons: ear gel not the best I've encountered

Review: Bought this to try after not being thrilled with the Plantronics 655 (stick with the 640). Pretty nice little unit. Very light, usable (although not perfect) controls, and the performance is on par with more expensive ones. The major drawback is the ear gel, which I like to use as someone who wears glasses. It's not the best design as it does not stay in your ear as easily as the Plantronics or Jabra models, but if you can live with that it's a steal at a little over half the price of the Plantronics 655.

Echo...echo..echo

Pros: Style, ease of use, volume

Cons: background noise and reverb

Review: This is my first bluetooth device and I was quite impressed with its performance the first couple of weeks..untill my callers started voicing there opinion. I hear people clear and crisp with this device. The sound quality is amazing...for me. It has been brought to my attention about 2 out of every three phone calls that the caller hears and echo/reverb of their voice. At first I blamed it on their phone of course, but after so many complaints you have to face the music. Great Value, but I am getting too many requests from frustrated callers to switch the headset off.

Tried ALOT of them and this one is the best so far.

Pros: Great sound quality, lightweight, great price.

Cons: Microphone too sensitive in noisy environments.

Review: I've tried ALOT of bluetooth headsets, and without a doubt, this is the best of the bunch. Great sound. Battery life is ok, some are better but it lasts me all day anyway. The microphone is so sensitive, it can be very loud on the other end if you are in a noisy environment. (as is true w/ most of them). Very lightweight & comfortable.

Overall Good Headset

Pros: Lightweight, small when compared to others on the market, easy to pair for beginners, easy to use for bluetooth beginners, good call quality for headset.

Cons: Earhook has plastic end that irritates at times, only 2 sizes for silicon earbuds, slight hissing sound in background when talking.

Review: I chose this device based user reviews and CNET reviews. I have been using the device for about 1 week and am quite happy with its performance. This was my first bluetooth headset, and I found it very easy to pair with my Motorola KRZR (I like the phone too). I also liked that I can hear the personalized ringtones in the earpiece. There is a slight hissing noise in the background when talking, but my friends did not notice and it did not interfere with reception. The only thing that I had to get used to was the earbud and the earhhook. The headset did not feel secure without the earhook, but my last headset did not have one. I also had trouble fitting the earbud. The large size was too big and the smaller size was actually too small. I found a way to remedy this by using one of the extra silicone earbuds from my Sony MDR-EX51LP stereo headphones and now it fits great!
I would recommend this device to anyone who wants a light and easy headset. Just play with a few different earbuds to get a good fit.

Great, tiny headset.

Pros: Size, ease of connectivity.

Cons: None so far!

Review: I've had this headset about a week and have used it everyday. It pairs and stays connected with my Motorola L2 very easily.

I've read complaints about the background noise but those I've talked to have said they can't tell that I'm on the phone and even on a windy afternoon I didn't pick up a lot of noise.

I'll admit this is the first bluetooth headset I've owned but it really seems like these guys got it right and for $40 after rebate, you can't lose!

Relatively cheap but a poor performer

Pros: good volume, quick pairing and great connection with the phone

Cons: bad call quality, register's background noise better than speech

Review: This is my 5th bluetooth device and after seeing all the good reviews here I thought my search was over. Unfortunately this is not the case with the Tekkeon. Battery life is great and pairing is probably the best I've seen. It bonds very quickly with the phone and works great transfering calls from the phone. No drop connections either. The callq quality on the other hand leaves much to be desired. I had to repeat myself constantly while callers often got more background noise then my voice. You'd have to be in a perfectly quiet environment for this Headset to work well. Which doesn't happen too often. Best Bluetooth I think is still the Plantronics 510 so far for call quality. Although pairing and connection speed is not as good as the Tekkeon here.

Great Manufacturer. Well above average product

Pros: Compact, long battery life, great customer service

Cons: picks up quite a bit of background noise

Review: I broke my first EzTalker by dropping it and customer service had a new one to me within 3 business days with a self addressed return envelope for the old one, no questions asked. The reception is above average for a bluetooth, none of bluetooths sound ideal. For the price you get a good product and amazing customer service, which you can't find in some of the larger manuf.

Solid performer, excellent value

Pros: Good performance for the money

Cons: howls when talking outside

Review: This is my first Bluetooth headset, so my experience is limited. But after carefully reviewing others' comments, this one seemed to be a great choice. I find that it works very well indoors. I tested it outside in light wind, but my wife complained of "howling" on my end (I didn't hear anything). Overall, this seems like a great buy for the money. Mine was only $33 after rebate. It seems far more expensive ones don't work appreciably better than this one. BTW, I am using this with a Treo 700p and the combination works well for me.

Excellent BT Headset

Pros: Compact, lightweight, comfortable, effective

Cons: Picks up back ground noise too easily

Review: I bought EzTalker as a replacement for the Scala 500. The Scala 500 is well designed and comfortable to wear but I was unhappy with the speaker mic (my voice was distorted and sounded like I was talking with my head in a tin can). I bought the Tekkeon Mini largely based on the good reviews I read on Cnet reviews. I have not be not been disappointed. The mini was even smaller and lighter than I expected and is very comfortable on either ear. I am sure i could wear it for hours without any discomfort. The Tekkeon mini is every bit as loud as the Scala 500 and crystal clear. The people I called could not tell I was talking with a headset. I haven't noticed any sound distortions or feedback from background noises yet. I mostly use my headset in the car (windows up most of the time) or the office. I have done a few sound checks from the car with the radio on medium and windows open. You can certainly hear some background noise but it was not horrible. My voice could still be heard and easily understood. That being said, the mini would definitely benefit from some sort of sound filtering system but I have not experienced any significant problems with background noise. I suppose my story would be different if I were using the headset on a busy city corner on a windy day but like I said most of my usage is a car or office and I have not encountered any problems what-so-ever. This is my third BT headset and it is the best I've tried. The price is generally about $55 but if you look around you will almost certainly find rebates available. I got my mini at buy.com for $55 less a $20 mail-in rebate. I'd certainly recommend that you give it a try.

This Is A Keeper

Pros: Rock solid performance day after day

Cons: Reversable hinge on earloop

Review: I've held off on writing a review on this product for no particularly good reason. However, I've owned this device for nearly a year, so I have a pretty solid base of experience to call on. FYI, my phone is a Nokia 6682.

The Pros: Pair it once and never again - much better than most Bluetooth headsets I've ever used. Re: call quality, your phone will be the limiting factor, not this headset. Clarity of transmission and sound reproduction is great. Stand by time is great, talk time elicits no complaints. Tekkeon is great to deal with - see next.

The Cons: Earloop broke once at the reversable hinge (not the hinge formed by attaching the earloop to the headset) - Tekkeon replaced immediately and for free. I've lost a few rubber earpieces - again, Tekkeon replaced immediately and for free, with the advice that I should use a weak glue, like Elmer's glue to keep the earpieces on. I haven't lost an earpiece since.

Definitely a quality product at a very fair price.

Finally, A great wireless headset !!

Pros: Easy to set up, clear sound, comfortable, affordable

Cons: None that I can find

Review: We just received the EZTalker Mini. After four different wireless headsets, we found one that works!! Less than five minutes to read the instructions and connect. Test drive with the windows down, radio on. Receives incoming voice call with clarity and volume to override the wind and radio. Wind and radio only background to the voice of the caller in the car to the person at home, even with the volume up, like teenagers use. Others we bought would not pair up, lots of static, no range, the list goes on. This one works for a great price !!

More miss than hit as a headset

Pros: Connectivity, sound clarity, comfortable fit

Cons: Echoing and background noise, overall design, all functions cannot be easily accessed

Review: Its good points are that it pairs easily and quickly (used mine with a Motorola E815 and a Samsung A930- connected to both without a hitch), has excellent sound reception for calls, is lightweight, and fits comfortably and securely on the ear (absolutely NO "jigglage").
Its low points are the microphone (using it outdoors is a waste of time- any noise including the wind is picked up. You cannot and will not be heard clearly by others), listeners complain of an echo effect when speaking, and some of its advertised functions (mute, redial last number) are damn near impossible to access and use. Even the design of the thing is cheap and fragile feeling. CNet might give it an 8.0, but in my opinion as a headset it is just ok.

Works but fragile

Pros: Clear call, fits well with ear hook

Cons: Fragile, Mute Button is worthless

Review: I bought the EzTalker because Tekkeon advertised it had a mute button. I participate in lots of conference calls and was hoping I could simply press a button on the device to mute/unmute the call. Turns out the mute button only works by pressing the volume button for 3 sec. Obviously, the person who engineered this feature never had to use a mute button on a real phone call.

Next problem is shortly after using the Mini, the ear hook broke. A simple twist of the ear hook will break the ring connecting the ear hook to the Mini. I emailed Tekkeon thinking maybe I could buy a new ear hook but they don't answer emails.

Now shopping for another bluetooth device...

Excellent and a plus they don't tell you about

Pros: Easy to use, comfortable, great sound, charges FAST

Cons: Minimal. Sometimes loses connection -- is it my phone?, not perfect with glasses

Review: This is a great unit. Very light and comfortable. It is easy to use with my phone. No problems with pairing. The sound quality is perfect -- my 81-year-old mother hears me just fine when I call her from my car. It works GREAT with handsfree voice recognition on my RazR phone.

The EzTalker Mini charges very quickly and holds its charge well. The big plus is that you can go on Tekkeon's web site and order new ear pieces and ear hooks and they send them out FAST and FREE. Tekkeon's service is the best.

The cons? Sometimes it's a little hard to get it to stay on my ear when wearing glasses, though once in place it stays there (I wouldn't let this keep me from buying it). Sometimes it loses connection with my phone, but that could be the phone.

All in all, this is the best headset I can imagine. So good that I'm ordering a second one!

Good performance with one key issue

Pros: design, size, comfort, sound quality, ease of use, value

Cons: wind noise, construction

Review: The EZTalker has a great design. Sleek and small, it's also very light and comfortable to wear. The adjustable ear hook is excellent and the soft ear plugs allows me to leave it on for extended periods of time. Sounds quality is clear on both ends of the line. Pairing it to my V710 was a cinch and the layout is easy to use.

The reason for giving it a 6 instead of an 8 - the thing picks up all kinds of sounds and amplifies them, especially wind noise. Don't expect to use it anywhere but indoors.

Winner thus far

Pros: Good sound - customer support

Cons: weak earpiece - no USB charger

Review: So this is my 2 cents - and my fourth bt headset (Jabra BT350 - good but hard to use, Motorola H700 - crappy mic, Gennum NxZen Plus - bulky uncomfortable) and I'm so far impressed.

Fits great sounds good but on the third day I put it in my jacket pocket and later I found the earhook had broken off. I immediately called Tekkeon - they emailed me a pic and I replied and had a replacement in 2 days.

It pairs easy - but doesn't come with a USB charger - sounds great - but seems to lose connection with my V3 Razor on occassion (this may be from the phone - not the unit).

So if you're trying out bluetooth headsets - go here first for price and performance - it's the best thus far.

Rockin bluetooth

Pros: Compact design, excellent sound quality, no stupid ear hook

Cons: Case could feel a little sturdier

Review: I spent much time researching headsets and couldn't be happier with this gem. Nice compact design, ear bud fits comfortably and securely (which means no stupid ear hooks). Pairing was a snap and I have not had a single connectivity problem. Sound quality is superb- callers are extremely surprised when they find out I'm on a headset. I think sound quality is even better than when using the phone itself. There is a little hiss at max volumes, but you shouldn't need to go to max volume b/c its quite loud at lower levels. A little static at 8-9 meters from phone. Single multifunction button is intuitive and easy to use. Rockin! Get one while they last.

Comfortable and effective

Pros: Light, good battery life, good sound

Cons: Shuts down in pocket

Review: This was my first bluetooth headset. I bought this model because it was inexpensive and small. I wasn't disappointed. Just about the only problem I have is that I often stow it in a pants pocket, and it can get deactivated from movement. Also, on occasion in a "high-bluetooth-use-area", there's some interference, but that's not a huge problem for me.

I'm certain that when this one eventually dies or gets lost, I'll be coming back to Tekkeon.

Bad! Real bad! Don't buy it!

Pros: Small and confortable. Connects withe ease.

Cons: Person on the other end hears echos, and You hear only half what they say!

Review: I purchased this item based entirely on these reviews. Now I wonder, did they buy the same one? I'm sure they are not updating their reviews, because there is no way they are talking about this thing!

The thing is very cheaply constructed. I felt like I was going to break it by pushing to power button.

It is very confortable in the ear. You can hardly tell it is there. Great! Now make a call, and the problems begin.

This is what you will hear. H--lo. W-w! I h--r my v--ce echoing. You will have to ask, what? this is impossible to hold a converation.

I decided to try the other end. Sure enough, the echo is bad, real bad. I simply drives the listener nuts.

I tried this phone on two separate blue tooth phones. The LG VX8100 and the Motorola E815. Same problem on both.

I will be returning this item not only because it is poor, but because is is not even usable.

This item would get a 1 if I didn't believe nothing can be that poor. I don't want to be one of the ones that have a bad experience and make the decision harder on others. You really should avoid this item though!

Solid performance but somewhat fragile

Pros: Ease of use, solid ear fit, great customer service

Cons: Easily damaged, not good out of doors

Review: The first EZTalker Mini lasted about 5 days. The main button stopped working. An e-mail to Tekkeon resulted in a rapid replacement of the unit with absolutely no hassle. Other tech companies could learn from Tekkeon's staff. New unit has worked great. The fit is solid, sound quality indoors is good, weight is undetectable. Just be careful how you store it.

Pros: LIGHT, GREAT SOUND, EASY CONNECT, EXTERNAL PLUG IN CHARGER

Cons: NONE, MY FIRST BLUE TOOTH..... ALL SEEMS FINE

Review: PER CNET I ORDERED FROM MAXWHO AT $58.99 ON 12/8/05 AND RECEIVED IT ON 12/12/05! FREE SHIPPING AND NO SALES TAX. I CHARGED IT FOR 2 HOURS AND MATED IT TO MY RAZOR IN LESS THAN A MINUTE. I THEN CALLED MY GIRLFRIEND IN VIRGINIA FOR AN HOUR, USING VOICE DIAL. GREAT SOUND, BUTTONS ON LIGHT EAR PIECE TO CONTROL VOLUME I ASKED HER HOW THE SOUND WAS AND SHE WAS SURPRISED I WAS USING A WIRELESS HEADSET.
I RECCOMEND THIS UNIT AND THE SUPPLIER..SOMEONE EVEN WROTE THANK YA! ON THE RECEIPT IN THE BOX LOL!

How couldn't it be a 10?

Pros: Easy to wear, easy to hear, good battery life, better sound quality than you should expect with bluetooth

Cons: Er, umm, eh... drawing a black

Review: I also lost my Motorola HS850 and purchased this on the strenght of CNET reviews and its $55 price tag.

With the Motorola, I was surprised at how bad the sound quality was but was told that's pretty much how bluetooth headsets are. I also couldn't get enough volume on the thing and people I called got echo if volume was maxxed - which it had to be.

The Tekkeon does it all well. Great sound quality on both ends, long transmission range, controls sturdy and well placed, good battery life, comfortable to wear all day. I haven't found any aspect of this device that wasn't perfectly executed.

Throw in the price I paid of $55 and how could you NOT give this thing a 10?

Great Product

Pros: Good battery life, easy setup

Cons: first earloop broke

Review: I am very happy with this earpiece. The quality is great with long battery life. The earloop broke while in a loose pocket, Tekkeon sent me a replacement immediately. I hope their next earpiece is smaller and sleeker. Overall, A+

Good but not perfect

Pros: Excellent sound inside, excellent service.

Cons: Not usable outside due to wind noise.

Review: I have previously used a motorolla BT headset and switched to Tekkeon after loosing my Motorolla. The sound quality inside is excellent. Range for me has been ok up to 5 feet and then you start to notice. The drawback is that it is unusable outside due to wind noise. The wind screen isn't really usable because it interferes with the sound quality inside.

Customer support is excellent. They give you a 1 year warranty. About 8 months into it, my earpiece broke off. I had lost my receipt, but thought that I would call anyway. The lady was very nice and promptly sent me a replacement at no cost. If your use is in the car or inside, this is the headset for you. The one year warranty with excellent customer support sets this model above the competition.

Best headset I've ever used

Pros: Voice quality, Battery life

Cons: will fall off for some people without the over-ear hook, separate charger

Review: I've always had trouble finding headsets that give good audio quality both to me and the other person on the line. This is a breath of fresh air. It seamlessly connects to my black razr, and I can use it with the phone being in another room. Voice quality is the best, and the design is also very good. I had never heard of the company, but went ahead after reading reviews on the internet, and got a very good deal at a startup site called maxwho.com
I highly recommend it.....

Overall, good quality, but check compatibility!

Pros: comfortable fit, lightweight, excellent volume, easy to use

Cons: compatibility issues, sound echoing, background noise

Review: Bought this for my BB 7250. First headset worked fine for me, but callers voices echoed very badly for them. Tekkeon Tech Support was very helpful and sent me a replacement headset. Second one was worse for wearer as my voice was echoing and there was a static-like constant background noise. Also, callers now said it sounded like I was talking in a cave and could hardly hear me. Will be sending this one back as well.
My overall experience is ok as Tekkeon Tech Support provided excellent customer service and went out of their way to help me.
Updated
Just to add to my opinion, this headset is very lightweight and fits well.

Loudness is excellent. Pairing is simple and stays paired.

Other than the very bad echoing problem I already described, this is a decent headset. But make sure you buy it from someplace you can return it as you should check compatibility with features and call properties with your own phone first.

Excellent, but picks up background noise

Pros: Great reception, light, stylish, affordable, simple

Cons: Too much background noise

Review: The sound quality is perfect as long as there's no background noise. This can be frustrating in a moving car, and render it non-functional outside or anywhere there is a lot of background noise. Other than that, it has pretty good range (about 40 feet), and has a very versatile earhook, which you really need to keep it on your ear. I disagree with comments about the buttons: it's nice to have that one big main button that you can't miss, and the volume control is easy enough to find and use. I wouldn't want those any different. This is the only bluetooth headset I've ever used (and now I won't use my mobile phone without it!), and I've had it for about a month.

Pros: inexpensive

Cons: flimsy earloop

Deficiencies make it unusable for me

Pros: Small, light, comfortable, earhook can be tailored to fit

Cons: Volume too low, won't automatically find Motorola V551, poor information on Tekkeon website

Review: I tried this unit because it is so highly rated by users here on C|Net. Right away, I was very disappointed by it.

The unit is designed either to sit in your ear canal with no other support, or to hang on your ear via a plastic hook. I had no choice but to use the hook, since it won't stay in my ear (I don't blame Tekkeon for this - my ear is probably out of average). The good news is that the hook is moldable, and fit nicely over the top of my ear.

Unfortunately, it seems that Tekkeon designed this unit so that the volume would be correct when used in the ear canal. For myself, the speaker ends up slightly outside the ear canal, and when in the car I can hardly hear, even at maximum volume.

In addition, I find that after bonding the unit to my Motorola V551, I have to re-pair the devices every time I turn the Tekkeon on. I previously tried one of Motorola's headsets and had no such problem. But when I power on the Tekkeon, it and the phone don't seek each other out. Go figure.

I tried going to the Tekkeon website to get information on these problems, but the link to their troubleshooting guide just leads to a blank page. :(

Because of these deficiencies, I'll be returning this unit and continuing to look for something workable.

Outstanding Headset!! Absolutely the BEST!!!

Pros: Outstanding Voice and Sound quality: Fits in ear perfectly: Light weight: Outstanding Range

Cons: none. Best bluetooth headset out there!!!

Review: I could not wait to post this review. The Tekkeon EzTalker Mini is absolutely a fantastic product. I have a Nokia 6620 and this headset works perfectly with my phone. I previously had the Cardo Scala 500 but now that I have the Tekkeon, there is no comparison. The EzTalker Mini BLOWS IT OUT OF THE WATER. I was a little bummed on the whole bluetooth technology with the Scala 500 but with the Tekkeon, my outlook has dramatically changed.

The most impressive aspect of this headset is that I can put my phone in my briefcase and walk, at least, 40 feet away from my 6620, and the voice and sound from the headset is just as clear as if I had the phone next to it. The buttons are big enough and easy to use so don't let that scare you into not getting this headset.

There is no doubt in my mind that this is the best bluetooth headset out there!! Also, get it from eCost.com. I returned the Scala 500 after using it for 4 weeks and they were awesome to work with.

A very good BT headset!

Pros: Sound quality, lights, wears comfortably

Cons: Have to re-pair after turning it off

Review: This is my second BT headest (Treo 650 on Sprint), and I'm very pleased. The sound quality is excellent, and the range is a good 15-20 feet. Unlike others I have tried, position of the phone relative to the headset is irrelevant.

I like the twin colors (blue and orange) to differentiate functions. The orange light comes on when turning the unit on and off, both lights come on when pairing, and the blue light flashes while the phone is on. Very handy!

The headset picks up quickly when receiving a call and when dialing. I haven't lost a call yet. And, the battery life appears to be as advertised. I particularly like the adjustable earhook, which makes the unit more stable on the ear. It's also smaller than most other BT units -- less the cyborg look!

All in all, a very good unit, especially considering the price.
Updated
Having used the headset for many months, it's now my favorite. I like the fact that it warns you when you're losing power (unlike my Treo headset which just dies without warning). I also appreciate Tekkeon's fabulous customer support, replacing earhooks and gels for free right away. I'm a big fan of Tekkeon because they make good products and treat their customers right.

Love this bluetooth headset! Well worth it!

Pros: Lightweight, easy to use, clear sound, unobtrusive

Cons: Feels cheap

Review: I bought this headset for my girlfriend and she loved it! She liked the way it felt on her ear and the fact that it is very lightweight. Also, the headset didn't attract too much attention like the big motorola ones with their bright blue lights. This one was very discreet. The sound was surprisingly clear! No regrets.

This is a great little device

Pros: Great for driving when on the phone

Cons: Really none

Review: I love this little thing. I have it for my Motorola V710 and it works perfectly. It makes talking on the cell phone in the car an easy and safer thing to do. With the phone set to automatic answer, all i have to do is start talking when someone calls. I can dial the phone just by speaking the persons name and i never have to touch the phone.

I wish I did not have to re-connect to the phone everytime I turn the set on though. This is probably a fault of the phone more than the earpiece.

I have never used a similar device so I can't compare this to anything else, but this one works great. It has to be one of my favorite toys now.

Functional, light and great tech support

Pros: Good sound quality; very light & comfortable; great tech support

Cons: Takes a bit of tweaking initially to work well with Motorola phones

Review: You can't do much better for the money. The sound quality is very good and it is very light and comfortable. Perhaps most importantly, the tech support is fantastic. You can actually call and speak to a real person in California. If you have an initial problem syncing with your phone, tech support will provide great tips to get it working and keep it working.

Finally, one I can wear all day!

Pros: Great sound, amazing light, and I forget I have it on.

Cons: Ear hook could us a tad more adjsutment. Callers don't hear me well if my car's top is down although I hear them fine.

Review: I tried the new Jabra BT800, (NOTE: No Jabra will work with any Treo 650, but it was quite uncomfortable anyway) and I also tried the Sony Ericsson. Both were dissappointing. After seeing CNET's reader's ratings, I decided to give the Tekkeon a try. I couldn't be happier. Amazing light. I can go all day wearing it. I like the silicone "in the ear" design because it has perfect sound when I give it a tiny nudge to seat in my ear, and when I am finished talking, just ever so slightly give it a nudge to undo the seal so my ear opening never gets bothered and I hear all outside noises normally. Even when not using it, it is hard to remember I am wearing it. Can be used on either ear. Some will even be able to wear it without the ear hook.

Battery life is fine, runs all day. Great manufacturer customer service. I reached a real human being right away. Refresing attitude of wanting be as helpful as possible. (Sony was impossible!)

Little companies try harder!

Now for my Wish List: "Readable" Caller ID and USB charging.

Best Bluetooth headset yet

Pros: small, comfortable, great audio

Cons: volume buttons rattle (Slightly), shorter stated battery life

Review: I am one of those people that buys many headsets before I find the one I like. Before I found a wired headset I bought 5 or 6 until I was satisfied with both audio, comfort, and the connection as well as functionality. Before I purchased the Tekkeon I bought the Jabra 250 as well as a Sony Blue tooth. The Sony sounded the best but hurt my ear after an hour and the Jabra didn't fit and didn't pick up the phone and generally was uncomfortable. I got the Tekkeon today and have gotten great feedback from my friends about my clarity and I can hear everything. Indoors and outdoors as well. So far I am really happy. Really comfortable. Just hope the batteries last a bit longer than 5 hours of talk time. No biggie but would have been more secure with 7 hours. Pairing was a snap as well I have a Treo 650 and recommend it highly.

Great headset! Saves you a lot of arm strain not having to hold your phone up while driving

Pros: Easy to use buttons, light, good reception

Cons: Has problems with some voice command options

Review: This is a great little bluetooth headset. The reception is generally very good, as long as you keep the windows up while driving or you'll end up with a lot of wind noise. I did have a problem with some of the voice command options on my SE phone. For dialing some people in the address book, it requires two commands: one for the name and one for which number you want to dial (home, work, cell). However the headset apparently shuts off the mic after the first voice command as it will not acknowledge the second one. Just makes it a bit more difficult to call some numbers. Also, there is no way to program voice commands using the headset, so there is sometimes some difficulty getting the phone to recognize the command. Other than that, it's a great unit!

Pros: Small - light and fits in my ear without the ear loop

Cons: Haven't found any!

Save your money

Pros: Small and compact

Cons: Unusable in light breeze, poor elsewhere

Review: I had no complaint with the features or quality of sound in my ear. The problem is how it sounds to the recipient. Callers could not understand me when outside in a light breeze. I tried leaving myself a message on my office voice mail and it was terrible. Even when I was inside the quality was marginal. I bought a Motorola HS820 and am very pleased.

Everything is great BUT the MICROPHONE

Pros: Very small, nice battery charge, fits the best of all I have tried

Cons: The microphone doesn't limit the noise....too much background noise

Review: Basically everyone can hear things in the background. The size is awesome, lightweight..fits perfect.
The only prob is that everyone complains that they can hear things in the background and if I open the window in the car or have the AC pointed on me, heaven forbid. They start saying, "what what what". Annoying.
I was super excited when I found it at this price and saw the prior reviews...but now I don't know what to do.....if I should deal or return it...

Great headset, OUTSTANDING customer service

Pros: very light, loud, doesn't require earloop

Cons: major wind noise

Review: This headset is wonderfully small and has loud volume. I like the in-ear bud, as I don't need the earloop (awesome), and the sound quality is the BEST of all headsets I've tried, on both ends. As others have noted it fails miserably outside. My Motorola HS850 does much better for that, although it's much larger, more awkward to wear, and has poorer audio quality. I miss my ezTalker Mini......

Unfortunately I had a problem with my phone, a Motorola V551, where callers could hear an echo. After contacting Tekkeon they sent me a replacement, which arrived the next day! I had the same problem with the replacement, so I figure it's my phone, as they've had other customers with the same phone use it fine. Even though it had been 2-3 months since purchasing it, Tekkeon arranged with my retailer to issue me a FULL REFUND!! Amazing. I have never had such great service.

I hope a future product of theirs will work out for me, as I would love to support them again. If they could solve the wind noise and my compatibility problem, they would have a perfect product.

NICE INDOOR HEADSET Poor Sound/Mic Control

Pros: Nice, light-weight INDOOR headset

Cons: NO NOISE DAMPENING - USELESS FOR CITYFOLK

Review: This is my first Bluetooth headset and it's nice, light-weight, and comfortable. I bought it based on the excellent feedback from c-net. This is the best I've used.

Pros: Light, small, easy to use, charges fast.

Cons: Definitely not the clearest sound in the world.

Review: This is definitlely the best bluetooth earpiece I've used. With a little massaging, you can get the piece to stay in your ear without the hook. But with the hook it is extremely stable and comfortable. Others complain of it feeling cheap. Well try to make something this small and light without using lightweight material. Unless you want a titanium earpiece, it's going to feel cheap because it's so light.
My only complaint, and it's a big one, is that it does have a very tinny sound. You have to turn the volume down low to better understand callers. However, I've been told people don't know I'm on a wireless earpiece when talking.
I tried the Jabra BT800, and I like the Tekkeon much more. BT800 was WAY too heavy and the delay in answering calls was unbearable.

Great headset for the price

Pros: Light, clear calling

Cons: driving, wind noise

Review: I love this headset but it seems to hold the same failing as every other headset I've come across. When driving your windows need to be up to speak clearly. The wind noise will kill your listeners ear. Although, this one does better than most at letting you hear in that situation, the volume options on this piece astonished me. All in all, if you want a great product for $60, I wouldn't look any further. I can leave it in my ear for hours and forget it's there, no one knows I'm not calling from a landline when I'm in my home or in the car with the windows up. From what I've been told, the voice is clearer when I use the headset versus straight through my Motorola V505...that impresses me quite a bit. I don't know how I spent so much cell phone time without it.

Great little headset!

Pros: Light, clear, easy to use.

Cons: Watch those rubber earpieces!

Review: I have had this headset for almost a month and love it! The headset is so small and light that several seniors asked me if it was a hearing aid. Had a problem losing the rubber earpiece, but Tekkeon sent me replacements with no no delay. Clarity is exceptional as is battery life... it lasts for days! Earhook is a necessity for me to keep it in place.

I highly recommend this headset. Keep up the good work CNet, your review was dead on!
Updated
Purchased this headset last year based on cnet recommendation. Liked it so much I bought one for my son. Small, great sound quality, and easy to use. Picks up wind and is hard to talk while outside but I have been very pleased with performance.

Even better than the performance has been the support from Tekkeon. I came home one day to find my headset laying in pieces after my min-pin puppy climbed up on my desk and got it. Even though it was completely destroyed it still was blinking and would connect to my phone! I wrote to Tekkeon and sent them the picture of the headset. They were so amused they sent me a refurbished unit at no charge!

They really stand behind their product and I strongly endorse this headset as an outstanding value!

Excellent Bluetooth Headset

Pros: Extremely comfortable, easy to use, sound is usually quite clear

Cons: Voice dialing can be a problem once in a while

Review: This is my second bluetooth headset. My first was a Logitech Bluetooth Headset. I used that on my SE T610 phone for a year. It performed great but was very uncomfortable to wear for any extended period of time. This Tekkeon EzTalker mini is much more comfortable and a pleasure to wear. After a few hours of wear, it may feel a little uncomfortable but it will not hurt like the Logitech Bluetooth Headset. I don't use the earhook. If you just take the earpiece out of your ear and put it back in 3 seconds later, it will feel very comfortable again, which leads me to believe that the comfort of the earpiece ultimately depends on how you position it in your ear. The sound is usually quite clear. But that ultimately depends on the coverage of the cell phone carrier in the particular area where you are talking. I'm in NYC and use T-Mobile where coverage is very good so I reap the benefits of using this bluetooth headset. As for Voice dialing, I had to replace some of the voice tags on my T610 before the EzTalker would recognize the voice tags. Keeping the names simple seems to improve performance. Moreover, I like using the last number redial feature by holding either volume button for 3 seconds in standby mode. I don't find the volume buttons to be too small. The volume buttons are very easy to reach while on a call.

I am truly amazed with my new Headset!

Pros: Great all around usage, the listener can hear me crystal clear as I hear them and it's so easy to use, both setting up and to use!

Cons: Sorry, I can NOT see one problem with the Tekkeon ezTalker Mini, that's why I must give it a perfect 10!

Review: OK, I know, giving something a perfect "10" is rare, but on this, I must! The other reviews have told you all about the Specs so I will just simply say...

I LOVE my new Headset! (Tekkeon ezTalker mini ET2000)

I can hear the caller crystal clear! They can hear me as if I was standing right in front of them, so they say! It's EASY to setup, and it's easy to operate!

Would I buy it again? YES! In a heart beat!

It works... just not for me!

Pros: Small, light, cheap

Cons: Intrusive earpiece, static, windnoise, inconsistent pairing, cheap

Review: I went out on a limb against my fiance's advice (who is very happy w/ the Motorola HS-820), and purchased the Tekkeon after reading all the great reviews. Well here's my review:

Pairing process: Pairing to my Siemens S66 seemed easy at first, but having to repeatedly search, trust, and enter the code grew tiresome as the EZtalker could not be entered on my phones trusted list. Even after going through the pairing process, it sometimes will not transfer calls from my phone to the earpiece when making or recieving calls.

Sound quality: At first, my EZtalker was clear and had plenty of volume. Now, I get this buzzing static in the background that both I and my callers can hear. The MAJOR downfactor for me is the windnoise. I thought the EZtalker was supposed to have an external noise reducer??? My fiance complains about the windnoise all the time, even from light walking!!!

Packaging: I will say, the best thing about the EZtalker the size. It is very small and light. Although it is promoted as able to be used with or without the removable earhook, the earhook is a DEFINITE must. I tried wearing it without and it fell off while walking normally. The earhook is really nice though, and can be molded to your ear quite easily. Another gripe is the intrusive earpiece- which may be the reason why volume is not an issue. It comes with a small and large rubber "gasket" that fits into your ear. I tried both but I can't stand either for more than 10 minutes before having to switch ears. Lastly, it just feels cheap. It looks nice from far, but is far from nice when up close.

Bottom line- I should have listened to my fiance the first time.

Excellent sound and comfort

Pros: Super light, secure fit, easy buttons to press

Cons: Need their charger instead of USB

Review: I first bought the 8comwireless gg03a (similar to gg03) because it got great reviews. But on my Sprint PPC-6600, the sound, feel, and look was terrible. Then I bought the eztalker mini because their website specifically listed that it was compatable with the PPC-6601. What a great headset! I was about to think Bluetooth was crap, but I can wear this headset all day without hurting my ear at all (as long as you use the ear hook). I find the buttons so much easier to access than the 8com headset, the sound is awesome, and people don't know that I'm on a headset. The LED that all headsets have is real subtle and soft, so it doesn't draw attention to the headset (but there is no getting around any headset making you look a bit like a geek). I've been using it about a week.

Good value - on par with some of the more expensive brands

Pros: Very light, small, comfortable to wear, good sound quality

Cons: Talk button a bit stiff

Review: This is one of the smallest BT headsets I've had. I use a headset for extended periods of time, so comfort and quality are paramount to me. The EZ Talker with its gel-like earbud fits right in my ear and is so soft that I forget it's there. Sound quality is excellent. With the earhook attachment I find it very secure. Outgoing calls are clear and true with no echo. I've been able to go into another room with no dropped signals. Buttons are a bit stiff and make a clicking noise when pushed. This is a minor issue, and doesn't detract from the overall quality of this headset. It comes with an AC adapter. I'd love to have a USB adapter in future. You'll get great value for your money!

Absolutely Awesome!

Pros: lightweight, affordable, easy to connect

Cons: slightly tinny

Review: I love this thing. I bought it because of the high user rating - man am I glad. It connected easily to my LG PM-325 phone and sounds great - even at 75mph w/the windows down. I also got the Kensington USB - Bluetooth adaptor, primarily to connect my laptop to the phone, but I am also using it to connect my Tekkeon to my PC and/or my laptop. I can listen to music, movies, etc without bothering anyone! Also, the 30 ft range is an underestimate...I walked my office and didn't lose signal for 60 ft. Don't know if that's based on the headset or the Kensington, but this is the headset to buy!

Review: I bought this headset a few weeks ago, and I am yet to find something wrong with it. I use it with my Motorola MPx220 and I absolutely love it. The only problem I have is with my phone's lousy way of using voice dialing. The sound quality is quite clear and rather loud. The headset is so small and doesn't make you look like a telemarketer. Kudos to Tekkeon.

Great sound quality and light as a feather. Best Bluetooth headset for your buck!

Pros: Great incoming and outgoing sound, super lightweight, easy to use.

Cons: Could have longer battery life.

Review: I just purchased the Tekkeon EzTalker Mini for my Motorola A630 phone and it works great! Seamless integration, crystal clear sound both incoming and outgoing, and great range. I have to admit the best feature about this Bluetooth headset is the fact that it only weighs 0.5 ounces. The unit does not feel heavy and you can wear it for an extended period of time. The only con I can see with this unit is that it could have a longer battery life, but that would most likely make this headset larger and heavier. Overall great product in form and function.

Love it, love it, love it!

Pros: stylishly small, picks up everything I say, volume control is perfect, fits in my ear!

Cons: signal is a little weak at times, picks up lots of background noise, talk button a little too big

Review: I had a difficult time deciding which wireless headset to buy-- so many options are out there. There were three factors that contribted to my decision making process:

1) Price
2) Functionality
3) Does it look cool?

This headset meets all of those needs perfectly-- inexpensive, good set of basic functions (i.e. volume control, mute, talk button from the set), and it looks damn cute.

People I talk to can't hear a difference in sound quality, it picks of everything I have to say, the volume control goes way up in noisy environments, and it fits in my ear oh'so snugly.

I live in a large concrete space, so there is a lot of echo. Sometimes, especially if there's lots going on in the background, people on the other end have a hard time hearing me. But I'm willing to go into a quiet space to talk on this baby. Also, when adjusting the set in my ear while on a call, I've had to learn to carefully avoid the easy-to-press talk button, which disconnects the call at the slightest touch. Though I've become deft at performing the "talk and adjust" maneuver on this thing.

Overall, this thing rocks! I've seen many people with the Jabra headsets and I just can't deal with the big SNAIL protruding out of their ears. It looks like a friggin' ALIEN, dude! The Tekkeon will make you look like you just stepped out of the Fifth Element.

Get it!

Great sound, easy setup

Pros: Small, looks decent, sound is quite loud.

Cons: Cheap and "creaky" feeling.

Review: Overall, this thing seems great. It's available for 60 shipped, which is a great price, and the sound and ease of use is good. It comes thru quite loud, which is great, as it makes up for my V551's often too quiet earpiece.

Overall, it seems to be decent quality, but it is a little cheap feeling. It "creaks" a little when you press the buttons.

Overall though, it seems like a great product, and I'd buy it again.

Oh, and also, I got it from maxwho.com, and received great customer service, and very fast shipping.

SMALL, CLEAR AND COMFORTABLE

Pros: SMALL -CLEAR

Cons: A LITTLE NOISE IN THE CAR WITH AC ON HIGH

Review: HAVE TRIED JABRA BT250, MOTOROLA 810 AND LOGITECH.ALL WORKED WITH MY MOTOROLA V600, THE BT250 VERY POOR RECPTION AND CALLERS STATED TOO MUCH NOISE,LOGITECH BROKE MY EAR BUT WAS CLEAR, TEKKEON WAS THE BEST ALL AROUND, CLEAR AT BOTH ENDS, (JUST KEEP YOUR AC ON LOW IN THE CAR),COMFORTABLE,LONG LASTING BATTERY.

Small, light and comfortable but tinny sound

Pros: The EZ Talker's shape is nice, it's really light and comfortable, really easy to put on. The earpieces are a nice touch.

Cons: Not pleased with incoming sound quality. Went with a Jabra FreeSpeak for this reason.

Review: This is a very nice little BlueTooth headset with great ergonomics and a lot of comfort. Pairing on a SE T616 was fast and painless. Outgoing sound quality was very good, but the incoming was dry. Almost a dead heat with the Jabra, but incoming sound quality is king for me and all other things were just about equal. I would recommend the EZ Talker highly if you're not as picky about incoming sound quality.

Would be perfect if it supported Call Waiting.

Pros: Exellent Sound Quality, Exellent connection even through walls, very light and comfortable

Cons: NO CALL WAITING!??

Review: I purchased this headset for $70 online and I have been very impressed with the call quality and battery life of the unit. I had no problems pairing it to my Motorola V551 and people can't even tell I'm on a headset. The only glaring annoyance is that it doesn't seem to support call waiting. When you try to click over it will just hang up on the person you are talking to and then the other call will ring through and you can answer, but you won't be able to "click back over". There is also no mention of this feature in the manual. I'm very upset with this and this is the only reason I can't give this thing a 10 rating.

I tried the Motorola H500 and the EZ talker mini is better in every way.

Sound quality: 10/10, It sounds almost as good as just using the phone and 10 times better than the H500 which sounds horrible! This headset is also more than loud enough, I usually have to turn it down even when in the loud car. The only downside in sound quality is susceptibility to wind noise. It is very senstive to wind and unusable outside unless you get the wind screen from
Tekkeon. The wind screen is just small, thin piece of foam that goes over the microphone. However it fixes the problem 100% I suspect that Tekkeon ships these with the unit now because when I warrantied mine they sent me the windscreens. By the way I warrantied mine for a connectivity problem and later found out that it was the phone and not the headset. Nonetheless Tekkeon has 1st class customer service. Without asking for any credit card or payment information they simply shipped me a new unit (and upgraded mine to the BT 1.2 version) with a box to mail mine back in.

Comfort: I'd give it a 9/10. Very secure fit though it does get a slightly uncomfortable after a couple of hours if you wear it too tight. Comes with several different gel earpiece sizes. Its not the same configuration as the Jabra sets and it is less obtrusive and more comfortable.

Ease of use: Very easy to use and the volume buttons are NOT too small.

Battery Life: Last 3+ days with about 1-2 hours of talking a day. Just charge it every 3 days and you'll be fine.

I have no complaints about this headset. Its a great product and I can't believe how good Tekkeon's customer service is. Your seriously doing yourself an injustice if you buy another unit over this one.

I recently warrantied my headset for a connectivity issue (I now know that the problem was the phone and not the headset). Tekkeons customer service was outstanding. A PERSON actually answered the phone and after running me through the basic troubleshooting she told me [no questions asked] that she would send me a new unit. She didn't even ask for my credit card info. Just sent me a new unit with a box to ship the old one back. She sent me the new BT 1.2 model and also some windscreens which are just small, thin pieces of adhesive foam which go over the microphone. Now I can walk head-on into strong winds and person on the other end barely even knows i'm outside. Its like having a completely different headset. I suspect that Tekkeon now ships these with new EZ talker minis. However even if they don't this headset is still worth every penny as I'm am sure that they will send windscreens to anyone who calls and asks for them.

I complained that this headset does not have callwaiting but Tekkeon upgraded the headset to BT 1.2 in October 05 and it now supports Call Waiting.

Excellent quality, the best among the bunch

Pros: Clear sound quality, sexy design, extreme light weight, long battery life

Cons: None, other than the packaging could be beefed up a bit.

Review: When I was shopping for a BT headset, if is very difficult to decide because there are many choices.

When I first saw the Tekkeon ezTalker Mini in the store where I get my new phone from, I instantly fall in love with its Sexy design. The store owner is kind enough to gave me a demo. I found the sound quality and its construction is way better than the "name brand" that store had carried. With a very affordable price, I purchased it without any hesitation.

After a few weeks, I get to like the ezTalker even more, love the clear sound (locally and remotely), the long battery life, and the best of all is this headset stays on my ear all day long without me noticing it.

The BT link to my Treo650 is excellent. Incoming phone, push a button on the headset to answer, outgoing call, push the same button to activate the Treo50s phone function.

Overall, the best $ I've ever spent in a long time.

Comfortable-Clear-Robust-Small ; This Headset is worth a second-look

Pros: Lightweight, easy-to-pair, good with interference, great talk/reception comparatively, compact

Cons: perhaps almost TOO compact but this is not a con for most. . .easy to lose?

Review: Allow me to get my "con" out of the way. I lost my Motorola HS850 after having it for perhaps two weeks. Let's just say that my Blackberry 7520 and it paired but I think my ear was far more hesitant. My only gripe with all the bluetooth devices is that they are: a) theft-prone; b) easy to lose for scatterbrains (like me). The Tekkeon is elegant all the way to its shiny casing to it's soft and supple ear insert with almost as comfortable earhook.

The pros for this device are so vast when comparing to my experience with the Motorola HS850. The Tekkeon is comfortable in that the gel-like insert rest inside the ear which blocks some interference from ambient noise. The earhook is has a very nice and predominantly rubber texture with pivot and swivel joints allowing for a more customized fit. One of my favorite aspects was how my test calls to a client were received better than a "wired" headset or even the native hand -to-ear method. I think what most confounded all logic is how this headset still costs less than comparable bluetooth headsets, e.g. Jabra, Motorola, etc.

This headset has not been in use for a week yet but I am sold. The Motorola HS850 was something I was almost hoping I would lose because of the discomfort that both the earhook, the lying-on-the-ear earpiece, and the poor microphone quality. This headset has given me hope for this technology and I am glad that I went out and purchased it. . .you looking for a good, small, clear and easy-to-use bluetooth headset then why not pick this one.

Light weight & superior sound quality

Pros: I love this headset. The sound quality is superior on both ends. The people I called never recognize that I call from a Bluetooth headset. In addition, it is so light weight that I can use it for whole day.

Cons:
