Pros: Great sound, 5.1 surround, can connect to PC/PS3/XBox360 and virtually all else, separate controls for the different speakers, great base response.

Cons: mic is worthless (can't be heard or understood then breaks), cheap and inexpensive wiring (will break in less than a year causing sound degradation or even loss), lights get very hot and cannot be turned off, absolutely terrible customer service

Summary: For the price and the time spent on the headset I personally know the ins and outs of this device. I am very disappointed in the Tritton AX Pro. The wires and soldering on this headset are laughable at best (and no it was not a defected headset, its the manufacturing as multiple headsets revealed). Sound quality is great (comparable to the Astro A40 even) for the first couple months, after which the sound changes from the poor wires and manufacturing. There have even been reports of sound stopping all together, and I have been close to that happening myself. The cheap plastic and awkward material make the headset flimsy and fragile. The ear cups are uncomfortable, particularly if you wear glasses, and can cause a headache from the unnecessary weight on your head; not to mention you start sweating in the first 30 minutes of its use. Not only is the product useful ONLY for the first couple months or until warranty expires (at which point it will inevitably break), but customer service is, well, there is none. I have sent several e-mails and messages, all of which were ignored and never even acknowledged.

Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere if possible to save from headaches and an expensive product that just doesn't keep its end of the deal. I used this headset for gaming, movies, and music and virtually everyday (to keep from disturbing the neighbors or family during a late night COD match or epic blu-ray movie). I got this headset because it is one of the VERY FEW that can connect to the PS3, and was excited to get it; but that excitement has long ceased and only grief persist that this product broke from nothing more than being used.
