"Good set but a few major flaws"3.0 starson by jpagel
Pros: Pretty good sound. Not as rich and rumbling as other headsets I've tried, but they sound decent. Don't expect a surround sound experience.
Cons: The mic, while adjustable, is not removable. If you don't want it in front of your face, you'll have a hard time getting it into a non-annoying position. If you flip it up, it falls right back down very easily.
Summary: I work at a GameStop and have access to plenty of headsets. The $80 price tag is a little steep for a headset like this. Once you put it on and play a few games, you'll be moderately pleased with the sound quality, but you'll really be able to tell that this item's price is marked up a great deal. For the same price, I would actually recommend the Tritton AX-180. It's sound is much better, the earphones are more comfortable, and you can remove the microphone if you don't want it in your face.
Another thing to consider. Pretty much ALL headsets are MESSY. You're going to have a tangled mess of wires EVERYWHERE if you want to use these things.
