V-MODA Faze Metal Headphone user reviews (Nero)

Pros I am a Bass Guitar player and look for earphones that can reproduce bass that is tight without being boomy. The Faze amazes me as to how well it does that job. I can honestly say you can feel the bass. Great design easy to use.

Summary This is my first V-Moda headset, my previous headset was a Sennheiser CX-500 which has served me well. I would say the sound quality was very similar maybe a little tighter bass on the Faze. The wires on the CX-500 are starting to split where it enters the earbud. Being a bass player I am very critical to the way headphones reproduce bass. Most have little bass response or distort it and many that claim to be bass headphones are too boomy. I think V-moda did a great job at designing a headset that recreates the music the way it was meant to be heard. They did it at a price point that should attract many serious users. The quality of this set is immediately evident when you take them out of the package and they are very comfortable. As to those that say the bass on these is poor I say you must be very careful in chosing the silicon earpiece as this is critical to good bass. You need to use the largest earpiece you can and push it in deeply or the bass will be thin. I learned that from my experience with the CX-500s. The silicon earpiece is a crucial part of the system as to quality bass response and noise isolation. Not sure how durable they are yet I just bought them but theyseem like they are built to last. Great headset for $50 bucks!
