"Best sound quality while driving"
Pros: Excellent choice for driving
Cons: Not portable (its not s'posed to be) so leave it in the car!
Summary: Pilots wear boom mics, it places the sound pickup as close as practicable to the sound source. Cars are surprisingly noisy places, even when commuting along at cruising speed.
Ear-bud mics don't work very well 'cause most people don't talk through their ear-holes (duh!). Even with mini-booms and noise-canceling, ear-units can't distinguish most background noise frequencies from the user's voice due to the inverse square law of source separation.
If you want performance on the road, you simply need to turn down the gain and move the mic as close as practicable to the source of the sound i.e. your mouth.
Buy an APC 12VDC-120VAC inverter to keep both this unit and your cellphone charged, and leave it along with the headset and chargers in your car.
