"Ok, but not great."

3.5 stars  | on by Gekkosan

Pros

Work pretty much as advertised. Sound quality is good, they do isolate (not cancel) sound, they are tangle free, and the material of the cables appears strong and durable. I like the neckband system, which is one of the main reasons for buying them.

Cons

The beads used to adjust the length of the loops are loose, so that loops do not stay adjusted for long.
The slider control is too loose, so it is very easy for the volume to go unintentionally out of adjustment and even go all the way down.

Summary

Overall, a good enough purchase if you can get it at discount price.

"Can't get everything in one set of speakers."

3.5 stars  | on by moe-x

Pros

-Amazing sound quality, but not the best.
-Wire is protected by Zagg's invisible shield, for extra durability.
-Practical angled ear-buds
-Extra ear-tips for different fittings.
-Two different colors to choose from. Wire's color is different as well.

Cons

-Relatively expensive.
-Sound quality gets negatively affected if equalizer settings aren't correctly configured.
-The wire is very heavy.
-The volume slider button moves easily, also isn't synchronized to the iphone's volume level.

My iphone's original earbuds were damaged so l looked for a replacement, preferably an "in-ear" type. I bought another cheaper brand for just $10, they were ok, but sound quality were far behind the iphone's ones. Soon l found myself looking for another set of ear-buds & had no problem paying much more for a premium sound.
A friend of mine bought the "Smartbuds" & told me they are much better than the iphone's earbuds. He was right, those earbuds are defiantly better than the iphone's ones, but does it worth paying much more? taking in mind the availability of many other rivals in the market today with price range of $10-$100.
I had my expectations high to the limit l thought these could be used as a replacement for the full size headphones l use with my laptop, but it turned out l was wrong because the frequency curve is a bit flat, and so the bass is week, just like 90% of in-ear speakers.
Also the wire is a bit annoying being very heavy compared to iphone's buds, so while using them just the regular way, the buds will come out of your ear, hence you should hang them over your neck as indicated by the manufacturer which turns out to be annoying to me.
Another thing that l didn't like is the volume slider button, it just moves easily, without sufficient resistance & so the volume may change easily without intention to do so while moving around.

Bottom line, Zagg Smart buds provide a combination of built quality, near-perfect sound & average price compared to other high-end speakers brands. But don't expect the good things altogether in a 40-50 dollars set of earbuds.

Update:
It's not working now anymore! I know what you're thinking "a misuse", but no, l used it in a very appropriate way but that was it.
Not to Zagg: please stick to manufacturing invisible-shields only!!

"Very good hands free headset (when it works)"

Pros

Blocks out surrounding sounds, fits well inside the ear. Additional size ear buds. Nice small case to go with it.

Cons

The mic breaks very easily without knowing how or why. Two headsets broke within a 6 month period, replaced the first one but haven't bothered replacing the second because I'm afraid it will break a third time. Although the mic piece fails, these ear bu
