"Very good alternative to blue tooth ear-pieces"3.5 starson by mjv25
Pros: Good voice recognition and easy to hear the party your speaking to.
Cons: Functions and controls are not entirely intuitive. Could be a little sexier.
Summary: I bought this product because I can't stand things hanging off my ear. I rate things very hard so I don't plan to let up here. For example, I always find something wrong with restaurants and hotels that are rated so highly. Anyway, I would rate this product is good to very good, which says a lot. I was actually surprised how well people could hear me. My first convo went like this "Jack" "Yeah?" "You can hear me?" "Yeah, why?" "Can you hear me really good?" "Is this a trick question?" Sometimes the people I talk to report a kind of tunnel sound, but this seems to only happen when I'm on a highway that generates a lot of road noise. It has awesome range. I parked my car in the garage and forgot to turn it off. My phone rang on the 2nd floor of the house and was still blue tooth enabled to the blueant. OK, my issues with this product (I'd buy this again in a heartbeat, but wish blueant would pay attention). It has an unusual way to turn on and off. You have to hold the call switch for at least 5-10 sec. I've occasionally unintentionally placed a call trying to turn it off. I wish it had a screen showing me who is calling. Also, a indicator showing battery charge would be helpful (although it has a very long battery life). However, it takes the same charge adapter as my blackberry which is nice so I don't have to change out a charger in the car. I'm really nitpicking, but it doesn't have the sexiest design. It's a little old school looking with its visible plastic seams. The magnetic visor clip is nice because you can leave the visor clip and pull the blueant off to charge it. I imagine the bluetooth pioneers (e.g. Motorolla) have great alternatives out there, but I have to imagine that this is about as good as they get.
