    "Unreliable" on by astremick

Pros: Good features if you can get them to work

    Cons: fails to turn on

Summary: I was excited to have this roduct initially it worked great at first. Over time(3 months) it began to have problems. It causes the iPod to lock up. It seemed like it was 'confused' about weather to shut off & didn't follow remote commands. The last straw was a failure to turn on. I checked the remote as it is the only way of turning it on/off, control. Replaced the remote control battery. Unplugged it and plugged it back in. It just won't come on. Junk. Junk Junk. As excited as I was about the product when I first got it is overshadowed by how P#!&%D I am now. I just hope Best buy will take it back for store credit.

"Not worth the price" on by hannington

Pros: Easy to connect to the stereo

Cons: Unable to drive a video signal to my JVC LCD TV

Summary: This product is a disappointment. I tried to connect it my LCD JVC 37" TV and the signal is so weak that I cannot even get a picture or sound to come out of the device. I was able to connect it to my stereo and it works ok. For the money, this is a poor investment

"Less is more" on by c5chris

Pros: Stylish, small footprint, very functional

    Cons: Limited capability remote

Summary: "Less is more" characterizes this Ipod accessory. It wont function by itself, but partner it with your home system, you got a complete entertainment system that integrates your Ipod. It is one of the few products that will connect your Video Ipod to your TV to watch video files. Sound is limited by your home system.

It is small, and has a good finish to it. The plexiglass Ipod holder/support is a good touch. It comes with the cables you will need to connect to your system, but to connect it to your computer for synching, you need to buy an additional cable.

Remote is ok, but could had benefitted with better function and range. It is powered by a watch battery to maintain its compact form, which why it suffers in range.

For dorms or small rooms, you can bypass the home system and connect it to your powered-speakers using the supplied cord.

Still a good buy if you just need to integrate your Ipod to your home system. Looks good too when not in use, for you can display your Ipod in this good looking pedestal-like accessory.

"Too Pricey, Remote Control has poor range, Sound is awful and not many features..." on by frankthetank966

Pros: Plays iPod Video on a T.V.,browse through Pictures, and lightwieght.

Cons: Terrible sound quality for video and songs and too much money for quality.

Summary: If this product was $50 cheaper then it would be worth it. However, since it is $100 it is a complete rip off. I thought it would be cool to use my iPod as a "DVD storage device" and take the homedock with me to watch video's on a T.V. however, it it not as cool as I intially thought. I am looking forward to the Griffin Homedock which recived iLounge.com best dock for T.V.

"worked marginally for awhile, then it died." on by eal

Pros: fairly simple to setup and use for music playing, nice to have a remote control. sound ok to good, and video decent. got at good price online.

Cons: construction horrible, unit died less than 2 years in. remote range poor, uses infrared, limited functionality. on screen functions limited as well. sound quality will disappoint any serious audio geeks, but they probably won't buy this anyway.

Summary: cheap as possible construction. worst customer service i've dealt with. Remote died less than 2 years in, rendering entire unit inoperable, as that's the only way you can power on the dock itself. so no remote, no worky. callled DLO cust svc, only to be told to go scratch - no remotes to send, even if i wanted to buy. the lengthy 90 day warranty is up, told that i'll have to throw it out and replace it. that's after being on hold 1 hour and Simple and cheap, but you get what you pay for. Horrible customer service, give another company a try before these guys.
