"Poor Design" on by sjohnstoncpa
Pros: Easy to use docking station.
Cons: Won't work with protective cases.
Summary: We were really pleased with the docking station until we put a plastic protective cover on the Droid phone. The only way to use the docking station now is to 1st remove the protective cover each time we wish to use the docking station. Due to this limitation, we returned the docking station for a full refund.

"Charges my Droid overnight & replaced my alarm clock." on by Tech_Terry
Pros: Easy to use dock [see cons for a minor gripe]. Allowed me to replace my alarm clock. I can listen to music when going to sleep. Shows current weather conditions on screen, as well as access to media both stored on the Droid and streaming.
Cons: Sometimes the USB does not make a good connection. There is no charge indicator to show the Droid is charging while docked. No other cons that I have notices in the past few weeks.
Summary: Best dock I have used for a cell phone. I jsut wish it was more like the Palm Pre TouchStone inductive charger.
Note to keep the screen illimunated through the night you need to turn on this feature burried in the Developers menu. -
"Doesn't work with protective cases!" on by hairpulma
Pros: Nice Idea if it worked with phone cover.
Cons: Why do they sell you stuff you can't use?? I'm taking mine back.
Summary: Should included big warning that it doesnt work with phone covers!

"Cool and convenient, but too bright at night" on by tokross
Pros: No more fumbling with connectors... simply drop the phone onto the charger for the night
Cons: (1) even in night mode, it is very bright and (2) prohibits the use of cases
Summary: A good accessory but has a significant trade off. If you are rough on your phone and need a snap-on case to protect it, you CANNOT drop the phone into this accessory as the fit is too snug. I returned my case and went with dock instead.

"Pain If You Have A Protective Case" on by DanielSchwen
Pros: Great functionality
Very useful
Replaced my alarm clockCons: If you have a protective case for your Droid (really, who doesn't?) you'll have to remove it before you can use the dock. While it's not the end of the world or a deal-breaker for me, it's still a pain the behind.
Summary: I wanted to give this product five stars, I really did, but having to remove my protective case if I want to put my phone on the dock is too much to overlook.
Despite the fact that now I have to remove the protective case and put it back on each time I use the dock, I don't regret my purchase. It still does what I wanted it to do: replace my ancient alarm clock. Sure, I could have just purchased a new alarm clock for the price of the dock, but why bother if I'm going to have my phone on my nightstand anyways?
Here's hoping Motorola comes out with an adapter later on down the road...
