Cons Expect it to fail within a year
Summary I'm about to order my 3rd bulb after two years with a Panasonci PT 50in screen. I haven't had a bulb fail when first installed, which is why I didn't rate this "Abysmal," but it shouldn't be failing every year at $300 a pop. The best way to extend the life is refrain from switching it on/off too frequently. Once it's on, I leave it on for the day and just switch the cable box off so the TV screen is black/blank. It seemed to help the 2nd bulb live longer.
