Pros: Looks cool/slimline
Cons: DVD performance terrible
Summary: This home theater system is terrible. Most of the modern DVD's (Harry Potter 4, Lord of the Rings) that have a lot of features are unplayable on this retarded player. This thing constantly spins and tells me that no disc is inserted. Even when I get it to play (after blowing into the disc tray and hitting the machine) it pixelizes and freezes every 15 seconds. I nearly tossed this piece of junk out the window.
The only reason I bought it is because it looks cool. If it can't play DVD's what good is it? Stay away from this trash - I thought Samsung was turning their reputation around but it seems like they have a long way to go.
A walmart $15 DVD player has better performance than this. -

Pros: Great sound. Highs and lows reproduced nicely, even with the exacting scrutiny of a sine wave tone generator. Awesome looks. Amp/speaks more than adaquate for a small room or apartment.
Cons: Touchy DVD reader; mine is currently in for warrenty repair. Signal to noise is a poor 75dB, although undetectable during normal DVD or music playback, obviously not up to audiophile standards.

Pros: Awesome quality. I've been really happy with the performance and quality. It more than does the job for my bedroom. I wanted a system with progressive scan, 5.1, DPL2 and good looks; it delivers on all fronts.
Cons: When two tracks on a CD are meant to blend together seamlessly (like Pink Floyd's 'Dark Side of the Moon') it still puts a little break in. This is pretty annoying, but not a huge con. And as the review mentions, when it fast forwards, it skips every few

Pros: Unit has very nice sound for it's price range. The dvds play good on it, reads vcds, mp3s without a problem.
Cons: Unit worked fine till the ghost set in. 1st the unit went into lock mode, tried several fixs online to remedy this problem. Didnt work. Next morning came back to unit and it was turning on and off by itself. Could not turn unit on by hand. Had to use remo
