Pros Great audio quality, easy sync
Cons Phone book download only works with a selection of phones
Summary I have used the Venturi Mini in both San Francisco and New York (highly congested FM frequencies) and, to my surprise, I was able to use the Mini without the line-in and with clear sound. There were a few spotty areas in these cities, but using the line-in jack was an easy solution. It sounds like the other reviewers had issues with syncing, but my experience has been that the phone syncs/docks automatically when the car is entered. Overall a great device.
Pros Easy and quick to use, just works
Cons Finding the best FM channel is a requirement
Summary I play in a band with a group of friends and we record our songwriting sessions on pc. We get together once a week to jam and record our progress. At the end of the evening I get a MP3 of our session which I transfer to my phone. During the week I can easily review our progress in my car on the way to work and its great to stand back and get some perspective. Venturi Mini gets the music so I can hear it without being complicated to use, I just press a button and our last music session plays. Great for calling and I like the way it pauses music and carries on after. YOu need to listen through you FM band and find a clear area as I foudn I initially got some 'static' as I hadn't tuned in to the best channel. Spent a few minutes listening to the unsused stations on the dial and got it working really great. Now Im very impressed, and wouldnt be without it. Highly recommeded
Pros Audio quality, ease of use
Cons Sometimes hard to find a clear channel but that isnt the Venturis fault!
Summary This is the easiest setup i've experienced with any Bluetooth device. It even gives the passcode on screen during pairing. Its been three months now and I can honestly say the Venturi Mini works better than I could have hoped. Super sound quality on my music, the FM transmitter sounds as good as FM can get. (The audio output is a great option and it plugs straight into the auxiliary input on my dash). Handsfree is clear and I'm easily able to talk even at highway speeds. The remote control over my phone is great feature its cool to listen to music from my cellphone and take calls without touching the phone. All in all highly recommended, and while priced on the higher side its great value when you consider all the features this packs.
Pros No taking the dash apart, or instalation. Great sound quality, works with radios RDS system to display numbers on the screen, Plays the phones music and controls the track, Looks tidy + classy on the dash and not tacky like most aftermarket products
Cons Build qualuty is awful, the first one was replaced by the seller because the scroll wheel never worked, the second one has been great function wise but the plastic casing has cracked and customeer service is just a nice idea in venturis buisness.
Summary The product works great there is no denying that but the quality of the plastic is iffy it cracks eventually and venturi customer support is non exhistant
Pros Pretty easy to set up, USB port for charging, in/out audio jacks
Cons Support is non-existent; no phone numbers on Venturi's website, only an email form which they don't respond to.
Summary The Mini worked just OK for the first several months; the FM broadcast signal was so weak that I couldn't find a frequency that would consistently work in my area (but maybe that's due moreso to DC frequency congestion than to the Mini) so I had to use one of those old-style tape-deck cartridges and plug that into the audio-out jack on the Mini. I liked the USB port for charging, which is something that other brands didn't have, but wish it could also use it for the audio stream as well (my PDA phone uses that same USB port for the earbuds). So everything was working OK until it started having problems making the Bluetooth connection... the vendor that I bought it from says its not their problem since its been about 5 months, yet Venturi doesn't have a support hotline or any other phone numbers on their website - so I'm stuck with the webform-email for support, which they don't respond to!! (Furthermore, I noticed now that there is no explicit warranty in the box that it come in). Buyer Beware!
