Pros On screen TV display control for Ipod for audio usage.
Cons Music videos and photos not on TV display as audio-must be done in simple mode
Summary This is a great addition to my Yahama receiver. It allows the end user Ipod remote control via a combination video and audio dock connection.
The only minor negative is that you do not have full control of video and photos via the remote while in the OSD control mode. OSD mode is when the Yahama trademark appears on the Ipod display. In order to do this you have to revert to the simple mode for remote control. In simple mode you can scroll forward, replay and stop (basic functions).
Overall, I rate this product as an overwhelming buy because of its advantages and ease of use.

Pros Displays iPod menu on TV screen, works w/my universal remote
Cons None so far
Summary Have it plugged into my Yamaha RX-V663 A/V receiver and operates perfectly with my Harmony 550 remote. TV displays the iPod menu as well as pics and video. Couldn't be simpler to use.
Pros iPod library accessible and controllable from my AV Receiver
Cons Not compatible with every Yamaha Receiver...but most
Summary You've spent time and $ putting those tunes on your iPod. Now link up to your compatible Yamaha Receiver and use your Receiver remote to access your iPod. It's like using the iPod as a jump drive so all your tunes are readily available at home or mobilly (with the iPod). Easy to work. Makes my iPod much more valuable.
